Very nice find! If you don’t mind, what was the final price?
Once I scrap the gold, and accounting for the 1.5% back with Rakuten, should end up a little over $3K.

Great find! Can't wait to hear what GIA says. What will you do with it?

Great buy! Good for you!!! Can't wait to hear about what GIA says and see how you decide to set the stone. Congrats!!!
@lala646 So odd that it was on hold for 24 hours. I do not understand their website sometimes because hold are only supposed to be 15 minutes unless the person makes the purchase. Just today there was some thing that I wanted that said “coming soon” and I was watching and somehow it got sold again before I even saw that it was “available”. I don’t get it! But I’m so glad that the stone is in your hands!
What a great thread! I love TRR for clothes, shoes, and bag finds, but have never searched their jewelry.
None of my finds are super extreme wins like some of the others but I think they do show how the photography doesn't do pieces justice:
Mikimoto 18k Tahitian ring. The photography was so bad that I thought they might be brown diamond melee
next to some Takahashi "gem luster" Akoyas:
Neil Lane platinum French cut band:
est. 0.7ctw 14k diamond flower necklace (for only $340!):
I returned these mystery Suzanne Kalan-ish but unhallmarked earrings. They were prettier in person than photos looked -- after getting cleaned (they had literal gunk):
I also purchased a Tiffany DBTY silver necklace that I wore for a couple of years and then resold for a small profit despite paying to have a jumpring added at Tiffany.

So here's an exciting update: I dropped the estimated 1.41ct stone at GIA today for grading, and on intake they weighed it as 1.56ct!! I don't know if that's final, but hooray! Should have the final results in 5-7 business days.
All that to say, @Dreamer_D, your hunch was correct!

I just love seeing the TRR pictures versus the IRL pictures!
now we are well into page two is not a good time to ask what does TRR stand for ?
@twosanguinehearts I think they look great. I am though obsessed with that ring on your ring finger. I love that setting. Would love to know the story of the stone Is the setting CVB?
