Not sure if anyone will see this, but to prevent creating a new thread, I thought I would just vent under my old one

Apparently my date doesn''t work for key family members, even thought it was checked ahead of time, so we are having to move it with less than 7 months (this include re-booking photographer, venue, church and HONEYMOON!)...I am really stressed out and was needing a place to rant....

Aw belle! I''m curious to know the reasons...just b/c I had a situation like that too with FMIL and her seasonal "allergies." FI and I spent a year picking a date that would work with his school schedule. We decided on May, but FMIL said that we can''t have it in May because her allergies are bad. I was pretty annoyed because it took us so long to pick a date, and we even asked our families if there were any dates we had to avoid, and she didn''t say anything then.

I''m sorry you have to change dates! It''s frustrating. Hopefully it will work out ok though!!

CrownJewel- Some family members didn''t want to travel on a 3-day weekend. I understood it to a degree, but I had ALREADY checked with my select few guest, who were fine with it MONTHS ago, and only now started to complain

Oh, that is so frustrating!
If you don't mind delving, is it a "doesn't want" or a "can't" kind of situation? There will never be a date that is perfect for every guest, where the parking/traffic/athsma/arthritis/vacation days are all in alignment. The long weekend does mean traffic, but it means that far away guests can travel to be with you... Perhaps you have already changed it, but others are reading your post and possibly wondering the same as me. What do you and your fiance want to do? That is the big question.

Because everything you have done up to now seems to have made you so happy! It looks really amazing and like a great deal of hard work invested.

Swimmer-It was a "didn''t want", but they were fairly important people and b/c the wedding is so small, I figured I needed to accommodate. THEN, even after clarifying with my MOH, the day after changing everything, she found out her brother was getting married the Saturday before and HER AND HER WHOLE family were going to Hawaii to celebrate. Meaning she will arrive to the rehearsal dinner late, and I will have to "update" her on what to do...Not her fault, but totally over all of this

Another Update: CAKE WAS PICKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will get a scanned pic of it up soon...but it will be Tiramisu with Kahlua filling, White Chocolate Cake with French Satin Butter cream frosting. It is ivory with a cream satin ribbon at the bottom of each tier (two tiers) and has cream and green hydrangeas in between the two layers (very full, so it will look like a 3-tier)...and on the top.

Also, although I wanted red flowers, I ended out getting cream and green ones. This bouquet but a bit smaller and minus the blue hues....
