C31BD963-A141-4FF5-B6D8-3B5FA7D5E862.jpeg New to me - .50 ct with .24 side stones. Wedding ring also .24 so I’m under a carat all in! My original set and CS set are both beautiful but much much larger than I prefer to wear every day (my husband spoils me). I’d purchased a small 1940s set last year but after some time I realized it wasn’t really my style and my husband didn’t really care for it, either. He picked out this preloved one and I like it, too. Simple, sparkly and comfortable. Perfect for everyday for me.

Very pretty set! I love that rings with "smaller" diamonds can be just as bling-y and impressive as those with larger stones. This set is a great example of that--I love it!

Thanks @MeowMeow and @natasha-cupcake! I am really thrilled with this set and agree that smaller stones can still have a lot of presence. Many members on these boards upgrade and it’s fun to read about their fun journeys but I got something much smaller than my original set and I’m just thrilled with it. That’s one of the reasons I like this forum so much - there is room for all of us and our individual tastes!

I prioritized cut over size as I wanted an optically precise H&A round brilliant sparkler with an excellent HCA light performance score, great balance between fire and scintillation, and blue fluorescence (“kyber crystal” for Star Wars fans).

Although my SO and I picked the diamond what seems like more than a year ago, I’ve officially only worn it on my finger for a month and have been constantly distracted by it. When I’m driving, if the sun is shining bright through my windshield, I get a beautiful rainbow/disco effect on the ceiling of my car. Unfortunately, I can’t take a photo with my phone since I am driving. And I don’t think the photos I did take do it justice. This rock reflects everything, which is why I wanted a super ideal. If only I could locate my macro lens.

I’ve also included the ASET scope image I took with my phone when I first saw my beauty in person.

I do plan to post my amazing experience working with Melissa and Wink @ HPD in another thread.

Tried to incorporate my fiancé’s love affair with Star Wars and my infatuation with Verragio into the ring design: modified Jedi order symbol on the shoulder/shank, Rebel Alliance symbol in the gallery with a Verragio Insignia-style diamond accent swirl bridge and fine milgrain along inside of split shank that connects at the base with X-wing Fusial Thrust Engine embellishments. My friends just see an Art Deco style ring until I point out the symbols, which is exactly what I was going for.

@Athena10X woww the last two photos you posted!! The side is way cool. That looks so fun and so interesting and SO sparkly! I can only imagine how sparkly it must be in your car!

Might as well plop my newest ring here too.

Went to the kitchen to get water and ended up taking this photo instead. Very modest 0.47ct but I think she's perfect.

So beautiful! I love yellow diamonds. Worth the wait, I’d say!!! Looks great on your hand.

A plug for smaller stones - tonight my husband said how much he likes my new-to-me set because my original engagement ring was really uncomfortable to him when he held my hand; he says he likes this smaller one much better since its more practical. I agree wholeheartedly! And this thread proves there are some stunners out there under 1 carat so smaller doesn't mean no pizzazz or style.

Of course the larger stones are pretty, too, and there is room for all of our different ideas on this forum!

Proof that good things come to those who wait. It's lovely! Congratulations!

In need of a bath after swimming in the pool and lake, but here is my .92 oval. Band is .47.

This is a beautiful set. I love the yellow gold, the mixed shape diamonds in the band, the elegant solitaire setting... and that oval looks magnificent! Very nice!
