Under 1ct diamonds

Thank you @FutureGracie She’s listed as a f/g but who knows until I get her! The listing also had a discrepancy that she was listed as .33-.50..and then again .40-.50...i really enjoy wearing smaller diamonds stacked on my right hand..I already love her so it won’t matter too much...but hoping she’s at least the width of Emma.[/
I can’t wait to see more pics of her! I love the asscher shapes and it looks like she is picking up colour really well and I think that’s important for a diamond to do!

Wow I messed up that post..... What I was trying to say is I love the asscher shape and I think it’s important that a diamond pick up colour and it looks like your will. I can’t wait to see more pics when you get her!

It looks gorgeous! The pink sapphire band adds some personality to it! What is your finger size? You have some great finger coverage with that ring!

Thanks! I wear a size 6.5. It definitely provides great finger coverage, that’s why I love halos!

This is my kind of diamond.
Thank you @AV_ ! It is way smaller than it looks..I’m waiting for the delivery today..I sent it to David to resize trying to preserve the engraving inside. It’s very very small..but I love it..I’ll stack it with other bands..

@Mamabean I expect a very bright (square) dot!
The cut looks like a caree but not flat at all (a table cut with extra detail, of sorts) - either an older stone or just it so happens...

It is an unusual cut..I call it an asscher because that’s what the seller called it...but it really is different. It’s definitely old...The engraving had a date but we couldn’t make it out. I hope the date is still in it because he had to add gold and I told him to preserve the engraving..It may be split in half..

The cut model is older than the ring by allot - www I suspect that the larger examples have been recut generations ago - not least because they are so cuttable! (a stage of cutting toward a square modern cut model, looks like a table cut with polished facets instead of natural or cleaved (I think) - www & www)

Then, yours may well be different. (& I'm dreamin')

Mom finally let me pick out a family ring, which is much appreciated! It is two round diamonds side by side and two smaller accent diamonds, in antique platinum setting. I think just the right amount of bling for me as a daily ring! I love it.IMG_20190709_134542445.jpgIMG_20190709_134507860.jpg

I keep going smaller. I’ve posted twice before with smaller stones (closer to .5 carats) but sold both of them. I realized that I wanted a really traditional and plain vintage smaller solitaire. And I’m really a yellow gold gal but was okay with white prongs. Enter about .25 old cut solitaire from an Etsy vendor (20s - 40s as estimated the vendor). Lousy pictures from my office but it’s so me. It’s cost me a bit to find myself, jewelry-wise, but I’m glad I finally have. I have a few things to choose from but this one really satisfies something for me in the diamond department. In person, it’s white, bright, and sparkly (looks awful in the pics).

#eapj I keep coming back to admire your ering and set! It's just so exquisite. I love everything about it!

Thank you so much @rainydaze! I really appreciate that. I just love the way that it looks - understated and and classic with a twist. It’s also super comfortable.

Yes please!!

I find myself drawn to it. I’m in the market for a small diamond ring to act as my engagement ring. I upgraded to a 1 carat EC a few years ago, and while I loved it, I just never seemed to wear it. Also the the band was very wide and since my knuckles have widened, it was uncomfortable to wear. I took advantage of the buy back and it is now on to the next person. So, in the market for narrow banded smaller diamond ring. How did you source it MB?

Thank you @Begonia..I found it on Ruby Lane. I find such great things on that site..
I’ll take photos of it when I get home..

Here you go @Begonia! My poor finger is swollen because it’s so hot outside..I couldn’t get my rings off to put Julia on but I crammed it on for you! I also added a few with my skinny eternity band which I think looks cute with it..:P2

That is a sweet sweet ring! Well done! It looks nice stacked with others and alone (but I like stacked). Never cared for vintage until now!

I can never seem to find what I’m looking for in my price range, and then don’t commit to the search. Some people on PS are so good at sourcing great finds at great prices. I guess diligence and commitment?

Anyway, that little sweetie is very pretty. Thank you for sharing so many great photos!

This is so gorgeous! For small bling gals, it’s close to perfection.

Thank you @eapj! She is so sweet. I love to stack her on my right hand. I have another little bezel diamond I stack with other bands too. It’s a .40 M color...I think they are so sweet and fun to wear.

I love this - so pretty!

I've had a similar journey. Two years ago I found this community as I started the search for a 10th anniversary upgrade/anniversary ring and had assumed for years that I wanted to go much bigger than my original 0.5 ct. engagement ring - at least a carat minimum, I thought - only to find out over the course of those two years that I'm a smaller-stone gal all the way. The smaller stones and more delicate settings are just who I am - they suit my tastes, my lifestyle, how I dress, etc. While I admire the workmanship, design, and beauty of the stones of so many of the rings on the site, whenever I tried to wear one like them I just didn't feel like myself. It's the under-1 ct. and more delicate rings that just utterly make me swoon. It's just too bad that I spent the previous years feeling discontented with the size of my ring just because I assumed "bigger was better" for me, and it turns out it's not.

Unfortunately, I did also discover that I'm a "multiple sets" kinda gal, too, and that I adore both old cuts and modern H&A, as well as ovals, and rubies, and....and.....and..... So I'm not saving any money whatsoever even with the smaller stones! :eek2:;)2

Another delicate beauty!

And my fingers are looking just like yours over here! I'm even getting a callus around my finger just below the joint from working so hard to get rings on and off, because I'm too stubborn to just set the tighter ones aside until it's cooler. :P2

It’s like you’re in my head :D But it feels so good to really figure out your style, doesn’t it?

It really does!

@Mamabean The more pictures you are posting, the more I love the thing. From the looks of it, small table cut diamonds and I are kindred.
