I know it''s a little premature, but I''m just curious what you lovely ladies have planned (or not) for Valentine''s Day? Do you go all out, or do something a little more low key? Do you expect flowers and chocolate, or are you happy with something less mainstream and more unusual? Anyone suspect a proposal is in the works for that day?

My FI and I may actually celebrate our first V-day together! We''re LDR and every V-day so far we''ve been apart, but I''m pretty sure we''ll get to see each other for this years and I''m excited!! I may be able to do a double date with Purelily and her FI! Beyond that, I''ve no clue what''s planned so far!

This will be our first V day together as we were previously in a LDR and couldn't see each other.
However, I don't think much of valentines day and will likely make a no gifts pact with BF. I would like to go to dinner but probably will give it a miss as reastrants will be busy. Maybe a movie or somthing low key.

Dunno what FI has planned, but I''ve signed us up for a couple''s massage workshop. It''s 3 hours and they teach you how to massage your partner. He''s wanted to do something like that for a while now, and it was really affordable at $75 for both of us, so I''m excited!

We''re not much for Valentines Day - so it''s unlikely that anything exciting will happen - maybe we''ll split a box of chocolates?

Our anniversary is coming up between now and then, but I don''t have high expectations for that either.

I''ve settled in to waiting unexpectantly

We will not celebrate, but we *may* use it as an excuse to go out to eat!

We''re going to a B&B in Williamsburg, VA for the weekend. Saturday-Monday. We''ll probably go to Williamsburg on Sunday during the morning and then drive out to Viriginia Beach for a nice dinner that evening.

OMG that sounds amazing. Wanna double date?

ETA: we'll probably go somewhere for dinner and DH usually sends me flowers at work.

Wow lots of first Valentine''s day togethers. Its our first one together in person as well also because we''ve been LDR for 3 years. We got to see each other really close to v-day a few years ago but never on it. We might go out for dinner or make something special at home, but that''s probably it. We''ll exchange cards but I doubt any gifts.

HAHA. You''re both welcome to come along!!! Maybe your hubbies can get A workin on that ring-a-ding.

...this is what I get for not checking back on threads for hours...

I don''t think we will do presents. But we have already made reservations at the melting pot.

this will be our 3rd v-day together. df and i have this tradition. he cooks amazing lime-steaks (steaks marinated in lime juice and other cajun spices) and we have a candlelit dinner at our place.. really low key. his steaks are AMAZING, by far the best thing he makes, and he will only make them for me.. nobody else. plus, we''re usually all over the place. we very rarely ever slow down and just have dinner at our table. the change of pace is really nice and good for the relationship.

We''ll actually be out of town visiting his family over Valentine''s Day, so I''m not too sure what to expect. But I got us some gifts for us to use as a couple and asked him when he would like to do a V-Day celebration just the two of us as I didn''t want to lug them back and forth to his family''s place. He said we''d do something when we got back a few days after V-Day.

This being said, a ring was purchased a week ago and it will be ready right around Valentine''s Day, but I''m not sure if he''s planning a V-Day proposal or not since he''s usually not really big into that holiday (or any holiday, for that matter). But we''ll see!

It''s our dating anniversary, and we usually go out to dinner. I expect more of the same this year. Not too exciting.

Due to issues with money, we weren''t really able to do much for Christmas, so I think we''re going to try to have a good Valentine''s Day. I''m going to surprise my boyfriend (big gamer!) with a new x-box (the old one was stolen when our apartment was broken into a few months ago...just the cherry on top of our financial issues). Not the most romantic gift, but I know it''s something he wants. I think we''ll also try to go out to one of our favorite fancy restaurants.

Not expecting an e-ring any time soon. Unfortunately, our finances have not shaped up how we expected and it doesn''t make sense for us to make that big purchase. In the meantime, I''m still wearing my solitaire promise ring and enjoying my time with it on my finger.

We will be going away for a week, which will include V day. Our night will probably be low-key with us eating take-out and watching movies at the hotel. Unless he has something planned, that is. I''m tossing up the idea of a surprise picnic on the roof-top that night with some snacks and champagne but we''ll see.

We don''t do V-day. I am not really into Hallmark holidays and he is happy with that. I will be in NO for mardi gras with my girlfriends on Feb 14th..woohoo!

We dont do anything for Valentines day, as someone else put it we dont care for the "hallmark" holidays. To me, our anniversary is our romantic holiday, and not because the stores say we have to either.

This is our third V-Day, but we probably won''t do anything extravagant. Our anniversary is in April and we like to celebrate that more than V-Day. He will probably get me a single rose (as he has the past two times) and maybe a movie and take-out. We tried the restaurant thing last year and it was just so busy that we could barely hear each other speak. So, we got our food to-go and it worked out a lot better that way.

I don''t expect a proposal due to both of our finances not being so great right now. However, BF is always extra sweet on V-Day with the little things, which matters more to me than a gift or candy anyways. So, V-Day will be special without the proposal!

our first.

BF has a surprise planned, but i don''t know what. there''s a hotel room involved but that''s all i know.

i''ll be home in australia for 2 mnths (from NY where we now live). my husband is coming home for a work related thing for one week and it just happens to be valentine''s day week!

we''re going to our favorite restaurant in the blue mountains outside of sydney for dinner. yay! we had to both travel literally half way around the world for this...

B and I are going the super-practical route this year. We''ll be celebrating Valentine''s Day a few days before...we made reservations at a place that''s probably been booked for V-Day since last year, but we''ll be avoiding the crowds since we won''t be going directly on the holiday. We''ll spend the 14th doing something low-key at home.

He just bought a new bike, so I''m going to get him a sweet helmet for V-Day.

If you''re not sure where you''re going for dinner, I can recommend a few places that my SO and I have been in the area. I know of an awesome seafood place to go that overlooks the bay ;)

Well go out to dinner on Monday to avoid the weekend crowd. No special restaurant. Maybe this nice Italian one about 30 minutes from us, a sushi place about an hour away, or TGIFs - our first date.
