The top stone is much darker, the sunlight lightens the tone. The bottom stone is the same color in all lighting. It’s actually a nice in color and can be glowy, but it’s very included.Strictly tone speaking, aren’t they both duck neck green? Nice shots!
What does you best emerald look like under low/darkish light?
It’s hard to explain, but the other one gets more saturated, metallic and deeper in color under artificial lighting because it’s a finer stone. The other one gets nicer in artificial lighting, but not as much. Emeralds love incandescent light, but an emerald should look good in the sun as well.Good to know. Would the ugly one be completely darken under low light next to the best one due to the inclusions?
He never smiles or comments much...
@Red_fan, Lucy’s earrings are also by Lorraine Schwartz. I wonder if they’re the same ones Angelina wore. These are 100 carats!!
More of that giant e-ring from George.
I saw them on a few celebs as well. From the listing photo, they look medium in tone, and not duck neck at all. They’re still desirable and pretty, but for the size, if they were duck neck, that listing would be closer to 7 figures. There is a photo on Lucy's instagram that shows the earrings in shadow - they are definitely darker in this pic.
When I first saw them, I too thought they were the same as Angelina's pair. There is a cast member on one of the real housewives shows that often wears an almost identical pair of earrings during the show. I will try to dig up a picture. It made me wonder if LS has made a few pairs over the years (or keeps them and frequently loans them out?)
I didn’t ask the origin. All I know was that it was very “flat” in the middle. It really looked synthetic. I didn’t see any of the velvet richness I’m accustomed to in duck necks, and I’ve seen very clean stones before. I have to tell you, I was not in love.Could the T&Co be a Zambian? Weren't they the first company selling Zambi emeralds?
