Vendor Return Weirdness -- WWPSD?

This is very disturbing. I would be freaking out if I was in this situation. I would also like to know the vendor name. Now I know not to do a wire transfer. I am so sorry this is happening to you and hope this is resolved post haste.

I think it would be better to know the name because otherwise, we all start thinking of the whole group of PS-recommended vendors overseas. And human mind is an interesting thing...the whole group might experience temporal decrease in sales, because we don't know who it is. Which is not fair.

I ran into a similar situation with an antique dealer. I would ask for the money to be paid back ASAP and don't entertain any offers for trades or anything like that. I made a dumb mistake of accepting a trade and got an item that was similarly priced, but was not something I would have spent that much money for in the first place. It was very stupid. Just ended up helping the vendor move a very expensive item that was hard to move in their inventory which did not suit my taste at all.

I'm hoping that you will update us on the outcome -- and that it will be GOOD news! Also, would you now please share the name of the vendor? (I think I know who it is, but didn't want to ask 2+ months ago if my hunch is correct since you were in the midst of the distressing aggravation & seeking satisfactory resolution from him.)
