Ha ha, I definitely wouldn’t call them
Eye candy! But here’s my original set. They are 18ct white gold and haven’t been plated for about 2-3 years. I actually really like the pale gold natural colour but my wedding band desperately needs to be replated as it now looks dreadful against the new ER.
Top band is the original ER with scatter diamonds so definitely not what you’d call an ER. But my husband chose it and saved to buy it from a very cool jeweller in Soho in London. We were in our early 20’s and had no money and lots of student debt so it was a big deal at the time. I’d never want to be parted from it.
Eternity band was bought when we had our first child. You can see how high it sits so it doesn’t work with the new ring. Plus I think I’ve chipped one of the diamonds so that needs replacing.
Wedding band is typical of early 2000’s, chunky and rounded. I quite like the contrast with the skinny band of the new ring.
So, nothing impressive at all, but they all mean a lot. I loved how @DiamondLizzy put it, they’re all representative of our journey together.
I love them.
I have a huge soft spot for a good stack of bands, and yours have great presence on the hand! I definitely agree, in that my 3 rings also represent our journey together & there's something really comforting about that.
