You know what!! I have no idea! This is what Dan wrote back to me after I was just calling it a pink tourmaline "This tourmaline is actually a "watermelon" pink/green bi-color stone from Nigeria." I think I will just call it a bi-colour one because there is just a touch of yellow in it.Date: 11/4/2008 12:00:30 PM

Love it and I think it''ll look incredibly pretty in the setting you''ve designed. Yellow sapphire marquise side stones will look gorgeous. When you get a chance will you take photos in daylight because I think the colours will sparkle and pop and look sensational!?
I''ve got one question and perhaps I''m being stupidI was always led to believe that watermelon tourmaline had to have green all the way round the edge with a pink centre (i.e. just like cutting into a watermelon). So I''m just wondering if your stone IS a watermelon or if it''s actually a bi-colour tourmaline????? I''d love to know because I''m very confused can the experts helps please? Whatever it is, it''s simply lovely!

That''s really interesting. Thanks so much for that. Think I''m going to get my nose in a few books then cos I clearly haven''t understood the terminology!Date: 11/4/2008 5:29:21 PM

Arghhhhh!!! I don''t know if Ill ever get this stone set!!! Not unless I become a millionaire!
I have emailed whiteflash back and forth and I am a little peeveddd! I didn''t know what to expect in terms of pricing (cause it will be a custom job) and I told him my budget and he quoted me 3 times more then that and I told him on several times to tell me if I was not going to get anywhere near close with my budget, so why would he go ahead and quote me so outrageously!
Getting a LOGR setting isn''t an option because of the stone.
I don''t know what to do!

Why would I wreck the aesthetics of my beautiful tourmaline centre stone by putting it near fakessssss!.
