What are you wearing today?! Show me your CS!

Thank you!

Oh, the story is a very short one: veni, vidi... bought (gift to self) https://www.gemporia.com/en-gb/prod...hite-topaz-in-sterling-silver-2.21cts/ibcu18/
It's an Amy from Kenya. The card said limited edition of 10, so perhaps they only had 10 stones 9X9mm (2 carats plus) and made these pendants. I didn't exactly know what stone I was going to get but the stone is 100% eyeclean and a perfect medium velvety purple.
I'm super happy with my purchase, it was inexpensive but it is so beautiful, I am wearing it right now on a short 14 inch chain.

P.S. The loose stone in my avatar picture is a 1.12ct colour shifting Madagasacan Sapphire and is a bit less saturated IRL (or daylight), more lavender than purple. This one will have a story.
What a great color! Amethyst deserves more respect.

I’m wearing my Coober Pedy opal today. Clear/blueish base with turquoise and deep blue glitter pattern. Next to impossible to capture on camera. I call it the ‘Looking glass’ because it’s very glass like.

@Bluegemz, you have a stunning collection, so it is very hard to have any favorites. This setting, and its mysterious stone, stands out to me as superb!

Couldn't resist taking a picture when these colours caught my eye at the desk.

@voce what is the gorgeous blue on the left??? I must have missed it before!

It was kind of fun being Leslie for a day! LOL!!

You are such a sweetheart, Blue. No worries!!
Awe, YOU are the sweetest. And your compliment really made my day, so thank you again. =)2

Wow!! Now that’s my kind of ring. I love the retro details and the honker size!! Awesome! If it’s an original stone,it might be synthetic blue spinel. It looks like the color, but that setting is amazing!!

I’m a sucker for a cool, old setting. Even cheap stones got cool settings back in the day. I think you’re onto something with the synthetic spinel.

@mellowyellowgirl I know you noticed it in the past. It could just be the camera making this sapphire look different. I posted it last year, and you were the first one to call it small and mighty. I am pasting my original post from that thread below :P2.
While I had contemplated setting this 5.6mm unheated Kenyan sapphire into a flower ring designed by MRose, she did not respond to my request/inquiry on Etsy, and when I saw a 5.5mm setting on LT I snatched it up, since I didn't want to wait to set the sapphire. It was my first purchase from Precision Gem, and also my first time setting a stone into a 14k WG semi-mount.

Haha at least I'm consistent then!!!

Awww thanks @minousbijoux!!! You have gorgeous pieces. I'm so flattered you like this ring!

@T L I looked far and wide for this colour and was always too scared to pull the trigger because in my mind the shade I wanted was very specific. It's like a dream come true.

Too many rings, not enough places to wear them so I've decided to really load up my fingers.

Plus it's getting so cold here I'm in a coat so can't wear my bangles. I'm going to compensate with rings!!!

Beautiful carving! Very interesting that the back opens up. I assume for viewing?

20190508_121534_HDR.jpg I am so happy it is Spring! Today I am wearing a new opal ring with amazing colours I cannot capture. Also my sleepy lavender spinel and my favourite star sapphire ring!

Wow, love it all! Your new opal ring is beautiful! And, your star is magnificent.

You and I are on the same vibe today. Wearing a new opal ring with the star ruby and reg. sapphire ering!

Cool! Post pics! I held my baby nephew who was born today. We were joking about meconium sounding like a rare mineral. Someone joked that my ring were meconium!

Hey, congratulations!!! That’s true...meconium does sound mineral like lol.

I only have these pics now of the opal ring which I got on Etsy. One is a bad evening pic and one is a seller picture. It’s a whopper with dark crystal body and mostly dark blue flashes emerging from layers within the darkness, though it’s really tough to capture. Reminds me of space somehow. The black and blue opals are the kind that I have been most fascinated with recently and I wanted to see how I like them in person. Hopefully I can wear it without cracking it, as I’ve done to my last 2 opal rings. So this is an experiment of sorts. Hopefully the setting will help. I will wear the combo tomorrow and take another picture.

It's beautiful Blugemz!!!!! I have been eyeing that ring for months! Actually when you mentioned you wanted a dark opal with blue flashes I thought of it - I am not sure why I did not mention it but I am so glad you have it! Please post many more pics indoors and out. I am so curious about it!
