Awww I'm so glad you love the setting with an Emmy! Ive always longed for a high karat pearl and emerald ring and this goes beyond that ideal.
I think it looks lovely now even with its crooked prongs so I cannot imagine what it will look like when re-done and with a nicer Emmy.

They come in various shapes so sometimes you have to hedge between shape vs colour and jade material

Yes, they are ruyis which stand for "as you wish it to be or to go" in Chinese

Sorry @Sungura there is no thread. We bought the ring at an auction earlier this year, together with matching earrings. So far DW has vetoed any earring photos as an invasion of privacy so those will have to wait! I do have the auction house photo of the ring, hopefully that will do for now.
