What are you wearing today?! Show me your CS!

Ah, just realized how difficult it is to photo greens and orange...

Most of the time I get more browns and grays (based on how my skin looks). Anyway 7 ct spess and 1.9 ct Ethiopian emerald convertible ring/pendant today.

I've never seen the emerald @icy_jade

Ring shot too please!

Gorgeous!!!! Like all your gems! But I have a soft spot for emeralds.

I still think you should get that cab :D

Thanks!

Oh u mean the giant one from Wriston? Must be long gone by now and the thought of wearing an emerald cab scares me tbh. What if I accidentally whack it and it cracks into pieces? But I do like the Ethiopian colors more than Zambian ones so maybe I’ll look for a bigger/nicer Ethopian emerald. A bit kicking myself for not grabbing some small neon emeralds from Wriston a few months ago.

What I wore the other day :)
Eversince I saw @Burmesedaze and @mellowyellowgirl 's botanical carved jades, I have been hankering for similar ones. When I chanced upon these at my jeweller's, I bought them immediately.
It will probably be a while before I set flower jade, considering the current gold prices.

Love love love!!!! Beautifully carved flower and gorgeous texture on both pieces!!!

Yes I'm so glad I had mine set last year. The pieces are affordable but they do use up so much gold!!!

Nice balanced carving!!!

Gold has dropped a bit but will still be hefty to set as the flower requires a thicker frame to hold the weight to balance out.

I'm on the lookout for a nice big one to set as a brooch:)

@mellowyellowgirl , @Burmesedaze : thank you! The flower would look much better with a gold backing and that would add to the cost of the setting. I am now kicking myself for previously procrastinating and not setting several other loose stones ( namely cabs, non callibrated sizes/shapes which require customisation) which I had bought way before Covid.

Finally went to my safety deposit box since before the pandemic.BB712243-350A-48BA-98CA-FE783E4FD7C1.jpegF56D758A-10EF-4B40-80B9-520E30B80B27.jpeg

I've forgotten how amazing your collection is--and these pictures are just a fraction of what you have!

we were surposed to be going on a bit of a picnic - just fish and chips down by the river
but Gary's grown up children didn't want to because it was too windy
(even more redicoulss because they live in Paraparaumu which is part of greater Wellington - one of the world's most windy cities)

oh well the white saphires need a clean anyway
its my 'covid going out ring' so i remember not to touch my face and my great Aunty's jade which i have never worn out before
Grandma's family did love a picnic
