Just try to take your photos in good light. For example, snap a photo while you’re outside during the day. You’re actually doing a pretty good job in low light so I can only imagine your photos will look that much better in daylight. I’d love to see that blue topaz of yours.

Alert: this is a budget post XD. The teal sapphire (that that was advertised as "green" is also grey sometimes, sometimes olive) was a fluke buy on jtv (and it's on sale for a steal right now there, but no guarantee what quality color you'll get). I love mine, for the money (and luck) it was a steal for me Yes, it's heated and for $70 I don't care, lol. And little 1 ct heart cut lab diamond in bezel setting (bezels are yummy to me).

I will not get mugged today.

Yes, cut by Richard Homer. Ring came with documentation saying he cut it. I've wondered if it being in a bezel setting is to it's detriment. But recent discussion in rocky talky has me scared to take it out of the bezel now.

It's a beautiful mounting, but it probably does darken the stone a little.
Find a skilled goldsmith who understands CS and you'll have less worry if that's what you want to do. I was recently perusing a discussion about vendor policy- but that seemed a bit more financial avoidance than practical.

They were originally plated in yellow gold, so the plating wore off. The setting is not that great. It’s gold and diamonds, but not a custom setting.

It’s really difficult to find decent settings for trillions without having to go custom. College tuition for my kids is taking precedence right now.

My iPhone 15 pro max has a lousy camera, so it’s difficult to get a great picture of this gem. I have some better photos taken with older iPhones.

im going out shortly to morning tea with my workmates
our manager thought of taking us out rather than xmas gifts this year and its worked out a good idea so we can catch up as we have all been sitting at home since the fire

i havnt been out to something that isnt just to work for so long, im having trouble not looking like im wearing every piece of jewleery i own (as if that would be possible)
ive never worn my (lab) saphire bracelet before so maybe time to take it for a spin and i found my good diamond studs i was worried had gone down the bathroom sink
surprise surprise they were in their box

really wanted to wear my saphire bracelet but it was too hard to do up

it was also too hard to do up pendants and to get earrings in
but all week ive been trying to remember how to do up this one and it must have been its day because i got it undone and done up
its my remembering Melanie bracelet - Gary's daughter who dies of cancer two years ago
she must have wanted a day out with my great grandma and great aunt (well their rings)

its actually a nice red, no brown and looks especially nice outside even on an overcast day in the rain like today

Very proud of the Lil Sis who signed a new contract at work after a very successful year. This was my little present for her from my collection. I’m trying to upgrade her rings and make them a bit bigger. No more snots for my baby!
