Today I'm wearing my inexpensive freshwaters, as I tend to wear my expensive stuff more and so the other stuff goes by the wayside. I'm trying to wear the less valuable things more, as they are still extremely pretty, and it saves the wear and tear on the better ones.

So, today I'm wearing my strand of 6-6.5mm freshwaters that were $65 reduced from $200 from Lord and Taylor in a sale, and my freshwater drop earrings, which have a pear-shaped pearl drop below some 14k white gold scrollwork set with a diamond, and which cost $179.

Also wearing my wedding set, my gold filigree watch from my grandmother, and my Cartier Trinity ring.

I love Lord and Taylor, Smith! I am the opposite. Other than earrings (which are usually expensive ones), I tend to wear my cheap stuff more and save the expensive stuff for good. Being a SAHM, it can sometime be harder to rock out the big guns at playgroup or the park

They are indeed bsomlo!! I actually do wear these a few times a week - they are fairly understated (well, for me anyway) and I wear a lot of black, navy, green and purple and the overtones match that wardrobe really well. They are a good length too - my daughter doesn't pull at them too much.

I was touring the construction site of the building where I work a few months back and wore a multicolored metallic strand. My co-worker said "Only you would wear pearls to a construction site!" Pearls go anywhere IMO.

They are perfect park pearls!! I think pearls can go anywhere, really.

I'm testing my away-from-home technology. Hope this works. Today I am wearing my lavender triple strand with pink-to-lavender grape cluster pearl earrings. As always, I got compliments on my dress, but no comment on the pearls. The dress is a shmata -- what is wrong with these people?! (For those who may not know, "shmata" is Yiddish for rag.)

It was a golden day for me today. One of my golden free form baroque strands from PP selected by 4Ranch Girl with a dark golden ring set in brushed palladium and golden akoya studs from PP set with tiny yellow diamonds.

When I got home I found that my PP Clearance sale Tahitian and akoya keshi necklace had arrived. So, I am modeling it for you. I'm very pleased. It is so pretty and will be a nice light piece to wear during this hot summer.

Fly Girl, I can't get over how golden your goldens are! They didn't appear quite as yellow when you showed them off in that other thread. And their shapes are so pleasing!

Thank you, baby nurse and baby monster. These PP goldens are really a light bright yellow with silver overtones that sharpen the color a bit. They are a pretty good color match for the golden akoya studs. They look especially good with the contrasting purple or lavender colors. Yep, the free form shapes are what make them for me. Love them.

Glad to see that another Tahitian akoya keshi necklace is coming. Looking forward to pictures when it arrives.
