HHPMom, Wow yet again! How come I don't see such pearlicious delights in my real life?! Have you guys noticed this phenomenon? I rarely see pearl beauties being worn as I walk around in my every day existence. Weird. Very weird. Where are my pearl sisters?

Second that. We're few and far between. Too bad there is no pearl ruckus this year. I was hoping to finally get to see some of these amazing pearls in person.

I dug out what I call my Sea of Cortez suite for today. I did the wiring myself, and it shows. But, I love wearing these special pearls.

Sea of Cortez pearls in the earrings are from Agustus on eBay. Only the bottom pearl in the necklace is Sea of Cortez. The remaining silver South Seas are from the Maluku islands via Agustus. The golden South Seas are from Pearl Society. The Sea of Cortez ring is from Sarah at Kojima Pearls and is set in an antique 18k yellow gold setting.

Thank you, mrs. taylor. Sarah has three more pearl rings on her web site set into that same setting. It was all I could do during her recent sale to not snap up more of them.

Oh, thank you! I do love them. I'm very glad I got them because I find that so often I just throw on my classic white strand by default and that now means wearing my beautiful white metallics!

They are 8mm. And my earrings aren't metallics, but they are my favorite white pearl dangles and close enough in size to go. I think the earrings are 8.5mm.

When my new silver blue akoya strand arrives next week, I don't think they'll be spending too much time in the box either!
