I broke out my goldens today. Necklace was personally selected for me at Pearl Paradise by 4 Ranch Girl. Freeform baroque light goldens with silver overtones. Earrings are natural golden akoya with a champagne diamond from Pearl Paradise. The bracelet is a golden pearl I purchased from Sarah at Kojima Pearls and it is set in sterling and black rubber by local Minneapolis designer T Lee.

I just noticed the new thread on goldens. Little did I realize this morning that they are the lastest hot trend!

LitGeek -- It's amazing what a slight change in length can do to the feel and perception of a pearl necklace.

Today, my 3rd graders got a little Fireball action. Here's a picture taken at dusk indoors with no artificial lighting:

Wow!! Looks much better at that length !

baby nurse -- I just close the chain on any link in the necklace to shorten it. So this was shortened by 2 to 3 inches. I'm so glad I figured this out! Otherwise, the fireball would be lost under the front of the dress. 15 inches is probably best for me. But this way I can wear the chain full length over a turtleneck and it will fit around the neck and still be short. Win-win!

(We're still waiting to see close-ups of your beautiful fireball!)

Edit: I just measured and I actually shortened the chain by 4 inches by closing it through a link four inches from the end!
