What are you wearing today?!

periwinklegirl Great job stringing!

baby monster Love your Tahitians!   Also love how you wore them with the freshwater earrings. Tres chic!

bsomlo So happy to see your lovely white ripples from PP being worn :appl: :appl: :appl: Enjoy!

I picked up my new Story bracelet in chili red lambskin from T Lee yesterday. I had them set my 14 mm white South Sea circle pearl from IndoseaPearls on Etsy. Photos taken on a bright frosty morning here in Minnesota.

Fly Girl Gorgeous pearl and it looks fabulous on the leather wrap bracelet! What a fun piece. Enjoy!

Fly Girl, amazing bracelet. Gorgeous pearl in an unusual setting. You have such unique pearl pieces.

YC, tahitian strand graduates from 10 to 13 mm. It's light grey body with silver and blue overtones. Some days it looks steel grey and others light blue.

bsomlo and HHPMom, thank you for compliments on my neck. I'm trying to get most out of it for now :sun: .

Fly Girl -- what a clever and wonderful setting!

Some white fireball action for me today -- pictured front and back. This is taken at night with minimal indoor lighting. The luster is terrific, which you can see. The pink and blue overtones are not visible in these night shots, though:

Fly girl, wow! Your pearl and leather piece is amazing! Looks great on you. Is the pearl interchangeable?

Gosh, so many marvelous pieces ! As I've said before, that triple strand of white metallics is a stunner !
And Periwinkle .. well done! Beginning and ending the strand is always tricky and we all make mistakes from time to time..you did really well !
Icy..you know how I love that 'harvest' strand ! Wonderful colours ..and it doubles so perfectly !!! .. wish I hadn't sold mine..but at least I've got a couple of others clearing customs at the moment ! Can't wait !

Fly Girl...How original ! Love that fat leather wrap with the big white SS ! Really exciting ! (don't know T Lee ??)

bsomlo..you have cornered the best of the white pearl market lol

That long metallic rope is beautiful..wish I could see in real life ! I've never seen the colour changing pearls.

I love going through and looking at all the photos before bed...makes for pleasant pearl dreams !

nite nite

Fly Girl,
That's a nice leather jewelry piece. Does the pearl stay put on that ring? It must fit tight to not move. I assume it's not interchangeable because of the clasp mechanism.

Thank you LitGeek, baby monster, bsomlo, YC, katbran, and HHPmom.

Story bracelets have a magnetic clasp. I was playing around with this Tahitian pearl that had been set in a simple eyepin setting that I was wearing as a pendant. I discovered that it would slide right onto the Story bracelet. I have been wearing it a lot on this split taupe Story bracelet. When I saw that Story had a chili red leather bracelet, I knew that was it for my white South Sea pearl. My new pearl fits slightly tighter, but it will still slip on and off the leather bracelet. I had it fit for this bracelet by local jeweler/designer T Lee. www.tleegold.com T recently began carrying the Story line in her shop. http://www.story-jewellery.com/other.aspx

I love pieces that I can switch around. I expect that I may wear my white SS as a pendant sometime as well. :))

Fly Girl That bracelet is super cool :appl: :appl: :appl: The versatility is fantastic. I am already imagining the SS pearls and Kamoka  Tahitians one could collect for it...

Metallic fw studs, white fw strand and multicolor fw ring. MOP buttons on the sweater :wink2:

Today is light pink Tahitian ring with green overtones. Mirror like luster.

Fly girl, where did you get the bail from? I like it. So versatile!

YC and Baby Monster -- both so gorgeous!

FlyGirl, that story bracelet is fantastic! I'm looking at their website, and I think I really need one. They're so gorgeous. Thanks for sharing! (Love the pearls, too, lol).

Thank you so much, Lilia. I enjoy sharing different pearly items. BTW, I was just looking through your site as well. I love your innovative ways of stringing up your pearls. :appl:

Thank you also 4Ranch Girl, LitGeek and YC. YC, the finding is Stuller, but my jeweler had to enlarge the ring on top. :wavey:

Thanks so much, Fly Girl! Lilia is actually my daughter <3 I had to use her name for my shop because she loves to swipe Mama's jewelry :halo:

I'm really loving those Story bracelets. I spent an hour yesterday going through all the charms and building myself my dream stack. I love how you can incorporate gemstone bracelets into a leather stack, too - very edgy.

Wore longest portion of 144" white rope tripled today:

baby monster Your freshwaters look lovely!

YC Your tahitian ring is SO pretty!

bsomlo Love that rope of yours!

With all the WSS chat on this forum, I was inspired to wear my large (can't recall exact size) baroque/circled wSS strand today. Purchased from PP but hardly wear them cos they are big and a little heavy. I like the fact they look round from far far away =)

YC -- you better go and look up the size! I'm sure I'm not the only one who wants to know!

They look great -- but large pearls can indeed be uncomfortable...

I will check the appraisal form after work. It is more uncomfortable wearing heavy pearls at work than when doing other activities eg having a meal or shopping. Maybe the poor ergonomics at my work station contributes to it. I took off the necklace after wearing for a couple of hours cos neck ache :errrr: think I will reserve the pearls for non-work days.

What I've noticed with really large pearls, or pearls quadrupled, is that I get a "chokey" feeling even though they are not near my throat. I think they are pressing on something on the back or side of my neck that makes me have that constricted feeling.

The wSS strand is 14-16.2 mm. The circles are mainly on one side of the pearls and hence, are generally hidden in the photo

YC, that's a spectacular strand! I can only hope anyone at my work wore this so I can admire it in person. Too bad it feels too heavy on the neck. Weight of the strands is always a concern for me too.

Woah those are some Wilma Flintstones ! Wonderful! Maybe you need to start to wear them more and get used to the weight...shame to not get the pleasure of wearing them alot! They are lovely.

Thanks baby monster and Katbran. Those pearls r now strictly weekend pearls after my experience last week. I must say I noticed quite a number of people , strangers included, looking at those pearls. It is very unusual cos no one looks at my pearls otherwise. Must be cos of the size.

They are absolutely lovely, YC  !

These pearls formerly belonged to my pearl sister, bsomlo. They were her Yabadabadoo pearls and I'm tickled pink that they are now part of my collection :appl: ! I had been wanting a larger strand of white ripples and these are perfect; they're huge, they have fabulous luster and I love the colors in them. They're just like soap bubbles!
