Haha, I thought about it because my grandmother is exactly the type who will hoard stuff and not use it. I do want to give it to her though, as it's only right to thank her for taking care of me all these years. I'll be wearing them for the next week though!

Thanks My dad got these for me at an open-air market a few years ago, so I'm not sure of the specs exactly. They're probably 7-8mm, off-round (some look egg-shaped). Not sure of the length, but the strand doesn't have a clasp and I can still triple it, so it's pretty long.

Those multi colored keshis are really cool. I snagged a strand on Ebay that are a cream color. The same seller had lavenders and pinks too but I was out bid. Really need to do something with mine

I had to laugh when you said your boss had noticed the pearls. He may have been wondering what they were. I have found that lots of people assume pearls are round and white, and have no idea that pearls can look so amazing. We are truly living in a pearl renaissance right now. What a delight it is!

Wore my 9-10mm Freshadama pearl dangles with gold studs to my company's Christmas party. My dangles are in a WG setting but my outfit was black and gold, so I looped my dangles into the shortest link possible. You don't notice the white gold chain on the dangles unless you're really close.

I got the keshi strand from PP's Black Friday sale. There were only 10 of them. Did you get the same thing? Anyway mine is 36" long. I cannot wrap it around my head twice because there is no clasp. You can use any pearl clip and attach it to the back of both ends of the strand. There are stainless steel ones being sold. Just google to find them. You can always use a single piece of pretty ribbon until you find (or can afford one that you like) a clasp.

bsomlo, I love your ripples and the new earrings! How do you think the ripples compare to SS baroques? I don't know much about pearls, but it seems like the ripples give a similar look to the white SS baroques - at least from the picture.

Hmmm, I don't have any SS so I can't compare. I think ripples are more metallic (those are the type I go for) while SS are more satiny. But others in the know can make more educated comments. Ripples come in a huge variety of shapes and sizes and colors. Personally, I don't think of them as exchangeable for SS.
