Here's what I have on today. The bracelet has aquamarine between the pearls, and the pearls are flat on the bottom which makes for a very comfortable bracelet. The necklace is freshwater pearls on leather.

Gorgeous fireball!

I didn't get any pearls in Venice, unfortunately the shop was already shut. But I got some gorgeous Murano glass! Even some actual beads (glass with a silver layer) that look quite a bit like pearls.
And some (that don't look like pearls) that I think will look good strung with pearls. I'll post pics once I get a possible strand put together.
