Hmmm, I don't have any SS so I can't compare. I think ripples are more metallic (those are the type I go for) while SS are more satiny. But others in the know can make more educated comments. Ripples come in a huge variety of shapes and sizes and colors. Personally, I don't think of them as exchangeable for SS.

I didn't think they were exchangeable either but I do like your explanation. SS pearls do seem more satiny to me and maybe more stark white. I love your white ripples!

The story of these ripples reminds me of Goldilocks. The Pearls of Joy white ripples were TOO BIG, the CC white ripples were TOO IVORY, while my PP white ripples are JUST RIGHT in every way! (Don't get me wrong, the P of J white ripples were incredible at 17 mm -- just too heavy for me to wear, and the CC ripples were lovely -- but I'm not into ivory/peach since it blends with my skin. Both necklaces went to a very loving home and look smashing on their new owner.) All's well that ends well!
