Confection10, here you are, the thread to my "golden figs" (and within it the link to the thread of my first two CC purchases and their disastrous travel story):

Thanks so much for sharing the thread! Really enjoyed the pics of Belle! And laughed about her having a strand.
My neighbour, and friend, has a Yorkie who weighs about five pounds (when she's wet and wearing a sweater!). She is the smallest dog I've ever seen and when I first met her she walked along the back of my sofa!

Being ridiculously pearl obsessed, after I got to know them both better, I said how great she would look in pearls and promptly put an elastic bracelet of freshies on her! She wears them on special occasions!

Will now go dig up a pic!

Hmm, Ok, no with pearl pics, but here she is anyway.

Bsolmo, your golden figs are gorgeous!

Confection, I love how you loop lots of strings of pearls together! It gives them a lot of oomph!
You have such beauties, please keep sharing them with us!

Would it surprise you to know that I've only been collecting pearls for about a year?

We pearl lovers learn quickly!

I must say, I'm quite tall woman (174cm) and I think I need more than one strand to look balanced. I think we all love to see pearls mixed and matched as well as always so chic traditional necklaces.

Nothing surprises me anymore. Pearls are so addictive and we can find them quite nice priced; no surprise we buy them more and more. Glad these aren't prized like diamonds .

One word; LOVELY . It's so nice here in pearlforum that people share own photos which are so much closer the truth than sellers. Catherine's photos are pretty close, but not exactly. When I compare my own shots to my own pearls I find them to be even more close the truth. And I think all photos members have attached on their threads are.

Happy New Year all!

Decided to wear my souffle set as is before sending them back for adjustments (current earring souffles added back into strand as Hisano originally intended, switch current Eternal findings onto Black Friday souffle earrings which are larger and cleaner and match strand well). Pictures taken in dark with only make-up mirror lighting:

*squeal*. Such awesome ringed colors!

Thank you sortmon!! I bought these during the Mother's day sale in May and didn't get a ton of wear out of them until recently. So many others here have been wearing theirs, it made me realize that I was neglecting mine!

baby nurse, the colors are SO beautiful! Wear them in good health. They are perfect winter pearls!

baby nurse - Incredible color in your Tahitians! I am envious!!!

Thank you, bsomlo and pkinnew!

bsomlo Your souffle set is extraordinary

baby nurse Your Tahitians just make me smile! Seeing yours has made me start wearing mine again too :wavey:

Pearls are infuriating to photograph, as we all know. I am trying to capture the intense metallic quality (which I just adore) and the range of funky green/bronze/copper colors in this CC strand. Aaargh. The final neck shot was taken in semi-darkness to try to show the metallic aspect and the colors. I failed, miserably, but I'm sure you'd rather see these than nothing! I didn't get an ear shot. The earring ripples are unmatched (in a delicious way) metallic brassy/green.

Since I was layering my clothing today, it being winter and all, I decided to layer my pearls as well. Kamoka harvest strand in its long form, along with a 20 inch Kamoka necklace of 8 mm drops. Topped off by aubergine Kamoka earrings, all shown in Winter sunrise lighting.

Fly Girl -- How wonderful! A Kamoka family of pearls!

bsomlo That necklace looks so pretty with your black turtleneck! Photographing pearls is just so tricky. My SoC pearls are impossible to capture with the camera!

Fly Girl Love how you have layered your gorgeous Kamokas    That Harvest Strand is really something else!!!

BabyNurse, Your T's are so yummy. Tahitians are on my wishlist, but unfortunaly not in very near future :wavey:

Bsomlo, You have captured quite well nuances of You ripples, I think. You have heard this so many times before, but they really are outstanding beautiful :wavey:

FlyGirl, Your pearls are stunning. Kamoka's are quite strange to me yet, but I'm in love  . And I love to see them layering :wavey:

FlyGirl - Your Kamokas are gorgeous & I love to see them layered! I love longer strands because you can look down to see them anytime!

Diamond studs with drop pearl dangles and the 75" portion of my 144" rope knotted in a new way (for me) today.

If you are interested, you can read about the pearl dangles made for the studs here:

I love your long strand and the way you knotted it, bsomlo!

Do you have a thread or pics of your lavender triple strand? I'm curious about it.

Thank you, all, for your kind comments. Confection10, you are quickly becoming a pearl layering queen around here. :wavey:
Kamokas are Tahitian pearls that are grown on one specific farm. I purchased my earrings directly from the Kamoka boutique. More about Kamoka pearls here. http://www.kamokapearls.com/

I purchased my smaller Kamoka necklace from Sarah at Kojima Pearl. She currently has a couple of Kamoka pieces in stock. http://kojimapearl.myshopify.com/pages/jewelry-store

Finally, I have a thread on my Kamoka harvest strand here. https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/kamoka-harvest-strand-and-bracelet-my-holy-grail-pieces.192237/

I am wearing white ripple pearls from POJ. 12-15mm.

Baby nurse, I like the colors of your Tahitian strand. Next on my shopping list r Tahitian baroques!
Bsomio, you have a lot of beautiful pearl jewelry. U never fail to amaze me with what u have. I used to think that I have many pieces of pearl jewelry but u ( along with several in this forum) beat me hands down.... I like that drop earrings. Lovely shape!
