I think that's a great idea! Since the level of formality is entirely up to you, you can mix and match pieces to create the look you want, or maybe see if you can have a dress made for you if you don't like the idea of piecing things together (I had this done once and it was great!). Also, I think although it may be chilly outside, while you're inside waiting to be married (which I've heard can sometimes be a little while), you might not want something with long sleeves (unless like me you prefer them anyway); the idea of a wrap or shawl I think would again lend you some versatility with the amount of warmth you want, but also give you another way of dressing the outfit either up or down!Date: 8/16/2008 7:03:19 PM

OMG thank you guys. i think you really gave me a good start.
i guess i am concerned that i will be cold. i should have added that i live in PA so there is a chill in september here. alot of those are really great if they had sleeves. and what is it with most wedding dresses being strappy or strapless? maybe i could make somthing so that i can take bits and peices from different dresses that i like to make the perfect one for me.
