OMG thank you guys. i think you really gave me a good start.
i guess i am concerned that i will be cold. i should have added that i live in PA so there is a chill in september here. alot of those are really great if they had sleeves. and what is it with most wedding dresses being strappy or strapless? maybe i could make somthing so that i can take bits and peices from different dresses that i like to make the perfect one for me.

+1.

That cashmere number you posted, Gwen, is divine!

WHBM bridal, found here.

I love this dress! If they hypothetically had a cute jacket in the same material with lines like the following, I think dress+fitted jacket combo would make a great courthouse outfit for a bride in the 20-35 age range:

I can't wait to see what you pick. Court horses weddings are great, you can do any number of things from more formal to business. You seem to be headed toward a dress from your last post?

I think that's a great idea! Since the level of formality is entirely up to you, you can mix and match pieces to create the look you want, or maybe see if you can have a dress made for you if you don't like the idea of piecing things together (I had this done once and it was great!). Also, I think although it may be chilly outside, while you're inside waiting to be married (which I've heard can sometimes be a little while), you might not want something with long sleeves (unless like me you prefer them anyway); the idea of a wrap or shawl I think would again lend you some versatility with the amount of warmth you want, but also give you another way of dressing the outfit either up or down!

Like, for me, I would love this blue cashmere and silk wrap, especially paired with a dress liked the one I posted earlier with the large sort of floral print (except that one had black print instead of blue). I think that sort of look would give you some versatility, be dressy without being totally formal, and throw in a dash of colour (of course I don't know if you want colour, so that might not be a positive for you, I dunno

). Anyway, food for thought! Link to the wrap is

here, if you're interested.

Here are a few with sleeves--again, I''m not sure if colour is important, so I''ll just post whatever.

This is a 3/4 length sleeve Vera Wang which I think looks good, found here.

If you like the business suit idea, here''s a cute one from Ralph Lauren--it''s a cute strappy dress with a nice little jacket on top. Found here, with views of the dress alone and with the jacket.

Different style of dress and jacket by Jones New York, found here.
