How the Grinch Stole Christmas
Elf
Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer

I love Christmas Movies!

Love Actually
Family Stone

My two favorites for sure.

How the Grinch stole Christmas is #1 followed by Its a wonderful life.

The Family Stone (Sarah Jessica Parker)
The Holiday (Kate Winslet and Cameron Diaz)

A Christmas Carol (the old 1950's version)
Ernest Saves Christmas
White Christmas
National Lampoons Christmas Vacation
Will Vinton's Claymation Christmas
Elf

These are the ones I can think of off the top of my head. I'm sure there's more I'm missing. A Christmas Story is ok for me, but I couldn't watch it over and over and over again. I can, however, quote the above listed movies nearly word-for-word. :)

ETA: A Charlie Brown Christmas, How the Grinch Stole Christmas and Rudolph (Bumbles Bounce! and the land of misfit toys!)

Love Actually!!! I can watch that movie all the time

White Christmas, The Grinch (animated version) and Love Actually.

I am very weird about my holdiays and movies and feel like its not holiday time until said movie is seen- like it also isn''t Passover until The Ten Commandments is on.

The Shop Around The Corner from 1940 it''s the original version of You''ve Got Mail.

Nat''l Lampoon''s, and A Christmas Story. I can''t decide which one''s my actual "favorite". DH LOVES A Christmas Story - I got him a Ralphie bobblehead one year.

I also love Claymation Christmas, and Garfield''s Christmas Special. They came out in the 80''s, I think. I have the DVD''s, and my brother and I watch them every year!

haha... DH & I just moved. Some of the boxes were marked "fragile". Neither of us will pronounce it correctly - it is ALWAYS Fra-gee-lay! lol

I like cheesy feel good ones like Home Alone and Elf. Charlie Brown''s Christmas would be another that falls into the classics category.

White Christmas for sure!!!

Lynnie - Claymation Christmas! Someone else knows it! It was on one year in the 80''s, like 84 or something, and we''ve had it on VHS ever since.

I forgot another one we like, the Three Bears Christmas - with Nakomi and Chanook!

A Christmas Story and The Family Stone. Would you believe my husband has NEVER seen A Christmas Story?! He is so deprived! I am forcing him to watch it with me this year, he has not yet truly lived.

Cammy - lol - I LOVE Claymation Christmas!!! The blue dinosaur is so funny (and now that i''m older, I realize he''s gay.. lol). The bells are the best!

We had it on VHS for the longest, too. But you can buy the DVD! My brother bought it for me a couple years ago.

Home for the Holiday''s. It''s more of a Thanksgiving movie. If you haven''t seen it - rent it. It''s hilarious. (Definitely an adult movie though!)

Christmas movie it''s gotta be Love Actually.

Lynnie - one of the running jokes of my family since forever is the "i lost mine" with the shoulder shrug from the bells! And quasimodo as the conductor! So awesome! And the singing camels. I love them too. :)

I love...
A Family Stone
Christmas Vacation
Elf
Fred Claus-new addition the the favorites list

This year I am going to make DH watch It''s a Wonderful Life. He has never seen it. Can you believe that???

Elf
Love Actually
Gremlins

I can''t watch The Family Stone.

I can''t believe I forgot The Shop Around the Corner with James Stewart and Margaret Sullavan! I love that movie, I also love the 1949 musical remake of it called In the Good Old Summer Time with Judy Garland, Van Johnson and Buster Keaton!

Okay, I came up with my list, lol.

1. It''s a Wonderful Life
2. Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer
2. Charlie Brown Christmas (which I insist on calling "Snoopy Christmas")
4. Elf
5. Love, Actually
6. How the Grinch Stole Christmas
7. A Christmas Carol (I''m super excited about the new version that just came out)

I also loved The Family Stone and The Holiday.

Okay, I know this isn''t a holiday movie, but it does have Christmas and New Year''s in it: When Harry Met Sally. One of my all-time favorite movies.

Doesn''t Serenity also have scenes about Christmas? That''s another great movie!

oohhh I haven''t heard of that one, I''ll have to find it this holiday season thanks!

I can''t pick a favorite but the first movie that comes to mind is Scrooged. I looove Scrooged it really captures that sad feeling that can come at the holidays when things are rough and it has such a happy ending that every single time I watch it I end up feeling better. It really gets me.

Other standbys in our house are Nightmare before Christmas and Rudolph, A Christmas Story, Elf and The Grinch.

Bad Santa. We watch it every Christmas eve and I laugh my a$% off every time!

First, it would have to be our old Single/Super 8mm Home Movies, taken when we were children. For ease, my dad transferred all the old film over to DVD, and had especially poignant music added. He gave each of us 3 kids our own copies (love you, Dad). We sit down as a family, haul out the goodies, and watch "ourselves" from yesteryear

Followed closely by "A Christmas Story". The movie evokes a kinder, simpler time...where it would seem, that most kids went around "shooting their eye out!"

1. Christmas Vacation
2. It''s A Wonderful Life
3. A Christmas Story

The Ref (I love the cat pee jokes)
Home Alone (1 and 2)

Never seen The Family Stone. Hated Elf and Love Actually was okay once around.

you have claymation christmas and garfield on dvd?!?! where did you find them? my sister and i watched those every christmas growing up, but unfortunately they (along with a lot of other holiday specials like and old sesame street one and riders in the sky) were recorded on beta.

i''d be estatic if i could see my favorite singing camels and the bell choir under the direction of quasimodo again

and christmas with dot boy is just that much more special

and yes they came out in the 80s. i think there was even a troll chrismas special, and i know there was a frraggle rock one

lol and if i hadn''t been so excited and kept on reading i would''ve seen that there are others who enjoy those cames with their hats and glasses

and now i''ve got the rasin men''s rudolph stuck in my head...

shall we go a waffling? or how about a waddling?
