I'm not really a pie girl..only because I hate store bought pie shells and I can't make a good homemade pie crust for some reason. But I love making pear torts

ETA: Not a pie but it's to die for! A minted white and dark chocolate terrine. OMG, if it didn't take five hours to make it I'd be in there right now.

My grandmother used to make the most amazing apple pies. Crusts were homemade (and awesome!) and she had her own apple trees. Even made her own apple jelly

I remember helping her sterilize the jars as a kid. The very fist thing I ever made on my own was Baklava...that stuff will rot your teeth just thinking about it..but man it''s good.

I love key lime and chocolate mousse and banana cream. I also love peach and apple crumb. Cherry is my least favorite, I like blueberry but prefer the peach mixed with a more sour berry. Fresh strawberry with that glaze on it and fresh whipped cream is not to shabby either! I like sour cream apple too. Pumpkin can be good if it is flavored well. Never had mince pie. Why, DF (I am DF too, by the way) do you torture us with food questions when it is late at night and there is nothing to satisfy the munchies in my house?! Shame on you!
