What kind of opal is this?

This is the necklace I was referencing - all hand made! Tourmaline and diamonds set in yellow gold with a green alloy that compliments the stones. The most interesting part is the Aztec calendar that sits between the stones and links! Spectacular, in my opinion Not my style but I appreciate the artistry.

This is a crystal opal from Australia not from Ethiopia, it may be the andamooka Crystal Opal discovered earlier

Andamooka produced some of the finest light crystal in Australia, unfortunately a lot of it is mined out.

I do see a grayish body color, on both stones.
