Four stones fell out?1. It is 14k gold, and it is the diamonds at the ends of the row, ie the ones that sit between my fingers when I am wearing it.
2. I purchased it in November 2019, the first repair was done in October 2020, the second one in August 2021. I can’t remember if it was one or two diamonds the first time, but four diamonds fell out the second time it needed repair. As I said, I almost never wore the ring, especially after the second repair and sure enough a diamond fell out the first time I dared to wear it again.
I am just done with it and I wasn’t really expecting much as Whiteflash was very reluctant to offer the second repair free of charge.
One thought. Is your ring still perfectly circular? You probably want to check that before you have the style remade - confirm the stones aren’t falling out because there’s a wear pattern that’s bending the shank unexpectedly?
Four stones is a lot. And 14k gold is a better choice than platinum, to resist reshaping… You made the right metal choice. Don’t go with platinum, platinum deforms inelastically and will warp more easily than gold.
I’ve had this happen too, FWIW. Melee falling out of a bezel band. Shank perfectly fine. I don’t blame you for wanting to be done with this one. That’s a lot of repairing.
