Who wants to see my haul from today?

1703367805245.png
this arrived yesterday
i know NZ post were told by there bosses to get the floor clear by xmas
anyway its only glass -slightly chunky, but its really nice, i think now the oldest thing in this house (my country is young-some of you have houses older than my country)
what i love about these older royal souviners is how they catered to all income levels (i have a coleman's mustard pot of Edward V11 and Alexandra's corination)

anyway its oval and has a sandwhich plate kind of vibe

also this came
its a good hefty size- about the size of a modern coffee cup
1703369102523.png

I love the clear glass dish! 1887...so cool!
Why can't I find something like that?
Your collection of royal commemorative items is very impressive!

i had to google and do some maths
it was Victoria's golden jubilee
you are much better at finding treasure than me
i learn off everyone on this thread

i think i have some sort of compulsive collecting thing going on

Merry Christmas to all the haulers!

Happy Holidays and I hope everyone got at least a pair of socks to ward off the Yule Cat!

Emeraude was for the older, sophisticated girls, 18 to 25.
I'd love some now, kind of a Shalimar dupe.

We went to a consignment shop yesterday where I found this fabulous cut crystal perfume bottle, it is an object of beauty but so heavy!

While I was there I saw this pink quartz and amethyst necklace hanging on a hook, it felt like something special and I was almost 100 that the clasp and beads were 14k. What am I going to do with it? So I didn’t buy it but kept thinking about it.

Today I went back and bought it. When I got home I found the 14k mark on the clasp! I just knew it! While I was there I also picked up this AB and black (jet, onyx, something else?) necklace and a Les Bernard signed necklace that @stracci2000 helped identify as onyx. It’s not really my jam but I picked it up anyways and figured I can throw it on Marketplace maybe.

All of this was $51, it was a good day(s).

It's all very beautiful!
That perfume bottle is fab. I see a lot of perfume bottles when I'm out hunting treasure, but I keep resisting them.
I'm afraid that it will lead to an addiction for them!

Oh, all lovely! Sometimes when quality items are that inexpensive, it is just too hard not to purchase them, even if you are not sure you'll ever wear them. At the very least, I could see the amethyst/quartz necklace doubled up and peeking out from the neckline of a white button down shirt, or the heart necklace over a brown turtleneck sweater.

So funny story about the bottle, there were two of them originally but someone stole the top to the other bottle. I’m not surprised, it would make a great weapon, I was seriously worried I was going to fall while carrying it and impale myself.

Death by perfume bottle, a beautiful and tragic ending

@RMOO, I’m actually wearing the rose quartz and amethyst necklace until I go to work. That one I will probably wear because I am a February baby but also I love the pink and purple combo. Brown and green just aren’t colors that look good on me but sometimes I buy something as more of a rescue mission. It was too special to just leave there so it came home with me ;)2

When your husband irks you, you can chase him with it!

"Death by perfume bottle, a beautiful and tragic ending " ---sounds like one of those 1940's noir movies I'm always watching!

well done
i might have to save a pix of your rose quartz as an inspiration piece
the green and brown would look lovely in the autumn

Today we headed up to Yankee Flea Market in Palmer, MA. The place is HUGE but didn’t find anything there apart from some canning jars (going to use them to hold rocks and minerals). Then we headed to the Palmer Antique CO-OP. There I found this wonderful ormolu jewelry box with cherubs for the feet :kiss2: It was on sale too so I couldn’t pass it up for $28. I also bought that gorgeous little rosary, it was $4 made in Italy.

@Daisys and Diamonds, I thought of you when I passed by the Charles and Diana and Queen Elizabeth tins =)2

Overall it was a fun day, there was another antique shop but the kids were over it by then lol! I probably wouldn’t make the drive again (over an hour) to go to the Yankee flea market but it was fun to check out.

Mine from today! I'm guessing art deco brooch, want to add a pendant bail too and a silver plated jewelry box, need to figure out how to clean it up.

Oh! The brooch is so pretty! It would be a fabulous pendant.
Love the box!
I used to have a box similar to that one. Just rub it with a jewelry polishing cloth to shine up the high spots.
Inside, you can use pieces of tape to clean off the flocked interior, kind of how a lint roller would work.

I have that rosary!! Bought it on my last trip to Italy—over 7 years ago—in The Vatican gift shop and blessed by the pope! My sister and I gifted one to each of our sisters so we all have one! I think we paid like 18 dollars at the time.

What a coincidence @nala! I love to pick up a pretty rosary when I see them, assuming it is a good price of course :cool2:

All these things came from the same vintage mall.
A sweet sterling Art Nouveau hatpin. I don't know what I'll do with it, but I had to have it!
