To be honest, I'm surprised he was allowed to go home with

a) no focus of infection found in the context of a sustained fever

b) no antiobiotics post-operatively, given that he had a fever

I don't think I would be happy treating my patient like that, but he seems to be healing himself regardless!

But do not hesitate to insist on medical assessment if he takes a turn for the worse You're not in the bosom of our beloved NHS perchance are you?

I've been following this thread but I hadn't posted in it yet. Gypsy, I hope your husband can make a full recovery from this. I can't imagine not only be as worried as you must be, but having to worry from across the country.

I'm thinking about you.

What a lot of worry and stress to be dealing with honey. Prayers outgoing for your husband to drop that fever and be able to come home. Also that you can find calm - you have so much to deal with at the moment. But it is so true - this will pass. He will be ok.
