To be honest, I'm surprised he was allowed to go home with
a) no focus of infection found in the context of a sustained fever
b) no antiobiotics post-operatively, given that he had a fever
I don't think I would be happy treating my patient like that, but he seems to be healing himself regardless!
But do not hesitate to insist on medical assessment if he takes a turn for the worse You're not in the bosom of our beloved NHS perchance are you?
