Not that I know of. People at work brought in a cheesecake for our staff meeting to celebrate my BD except that I don't eat cheesecake ... LOL (no one bothered to ask what I liked). So they all enjoyed cheesecake (some of them had seconds) while I secretly was disappointed.

Guys just can''t win.....

I asked about going to a fancy place where we''ve been before (at the Hotel where we had our wedding recption). She didn''t want to go there.

I asked about a series of other places, but she turned each and every one of them down too.

She expressed a preference for some Chinese food as we have been having too many good "American" meals from the cruise we just got back on, and will be having more on the shortie cruise we are going on this Thursday. Yes, we are in the middle ot two cruises within a month!

So I said okay to the meal at a Chinese restaurant that she picked out....we don''t need reservations there.

I did ask about presents but the only thing she came up with was another tennis bracelet from Wink, but this time with all 1ct stones.... Yes I''m a terrible hubbie because I declined on that one.... LOL

All the usual small things she doesn''t want or she has already bought herself...

Oh, and we are going on another small vacation up to Mendocino at the end of this month! Maybe I should buy her another polished abalone shell up there...

In the middle of all this, I''ve been terribly over-stressed and over-worked at work. On top of that, I hurt myself hauling our luggage from the last cruise....

So I''m not exactly Mr Wonderful lately....

Well back from chinese food birthday dinner. Had clams in black bean sauce, chicken and asparagus, beef and broccoli.

No BD gift from websailor.

The highlights from today were a lovely giftbox of cookies and coffee from Jennifer5973, a wonderful phone call from Kaleigh, and a very sweet PM from John Quixote.

Picked up a piece of tiramisu from an Italian restaurant that I will have in two hours which will be my BD cake.

Thank you all for the warm wishes ... it is very thoughtful of all of you.
