hummm.....there must be some kind of special attraction between May b-day girls and diamonds.

yesterday was Jenn and today cflutist.

Yes, mine is the end of the month and I found out by nagging him to tell me that he had planned to overspend to get earrings to match my e-ring. He can only get stones .75 or higher because anything smaller is being distributed ONLY one place, and that will cost a ton for low quality and platinum, so I think if he gets them at all he should just go through the WF premade ones. They''ll match my wedding ring just fine.

But with our honeymoon being so expensive, that plan got vetoed by both of us, me especially, because I still thought they were way too expensive. I told him to wait till we have the cash for stuff like that and take me out for a nice (cheap) dinner, Qdoba sounds good. Maybe give me a few bucks to pay for my root appointment or something Or pay for the harpist. Or Limo. Yknow, important stuff.

Not that sparklies aren''t on my wish list....I think wedding stuff and honeymoon stuff is a far better gift right now while we gush money from every orafice. Geez I cannot wait till July 2nd.

I still say guys can''t win!!!!

We got the tiramisu cake for dessert last night.... You have to realize that we put on some weight during this cruise we were just on - cflutist has been complaining about weighing too much every single day. I lightly tried to talk her out of it (just trying to be supportive), but she wanted it anyway, so we got it.

This cake is about 5 by 5 inches, 4 inches tall, so it''s fairly large. Zero calories of course! After we got home and decided to have the cake, I got everything ready - set the table, got the dishes out, etc - this is normal. Then I cut the cake in half.

Big Mistake!!!!

Cflutist was not happy....told me it was her b-day cake and she thought she should get more than half.... So I cut my piece in half again and gave it to her....

We did talk about b-day gifts.... I know how she feels, but there truly isn''t hardly anything she wants (ok, a qualifier - that is less than $ 5 figures). Even she said last night that she didn''t know what I should have gotten.

Oh well, that''s married life I guess....there will be other times that we will have that are better....



Thanks to all of you who posted here - I know that has cheered her up some, and she deeply appreciated that.

Noobie - LOL - now maybe I can get her to dress like a 24 yr old...Cflutist tells me I''m always asking her to try on sexy outfits, suitable only for young people...gosh, maybe that how I think she looks!
