My earrings arrived today! First impression is that they are gorgeous! The luster is amazing and they reflect like mirrors. Mikimoto was top notch with the packaging and sent them via fedex overnight with signature for no extra cost.A276829B-63EA-4B71-99E9-E47E57B84F7C.jpeg

Gorgeous! And I love the creamy, luxe box they came in too!

Ya know how this goes madam ... ear shots are required!

Oh wow, the lustre is incredible! I love the packaging too!

I never would have believed they would be as (relatively) affordable as they were, since I wanted a smaller millimeter diameter. I’m so glad I finally decided to go for a great set of pearl studs!

@dk168

I'm so looking forward to your aqua and morganite ring and so glad the stones finally arrived safely! I love the color combo. We just rarely see anyone add color for the side stones and I'm living for it!

I think/hope they will work, as both are pale icy colours - they look fine on my hand without being set. The Morganites are very pale pink, hopefully, the pink will be more apparent when set against white metal.

Ohhhh damn those are nice!!! 7mm were they?

Both bracelets are supposed to be F/G color and VS clarity.

The price difference between both brands is extreme:
10 ctw 4-prong Shay bracelet - $33,000 USD
15 ctw 4-prong Shay bracelet - $39,000 USD
10 ctw 3-prong WF bracelet - $28,000 USD
15 ctw 3-prong WF bracelet - $90,000 USD

The 15 ctw WF bracelet is double the price of Shay's 15 ctw, but the 10 ctw WF bracelet is less than Shay's 10 ctw? Not sure what is going on there!

I got the Shay tennis bracelet first and I was absolutely in love and blown away when I first saw it. I purchased from them because they were the only ones I could find at the time offering a customized 6" length, because I'm lazy and didn't want to take it to a jeweler after purchasing. The diamonds are very sparkly, bright, and white, but there isn't a lot of fire which is what I really love. In fact, I would actually say there is almost no fire and primarily a lot of white brilliance.

Then I purchased the WF tennis bracelet, and suddenly the Shay bracelet didn't seem so sparkly anymore (yes, I keep it clean - I clean it regularly with a soft toothbrush, warm water, & dish soap). The diamonds on the WF bracelet are so incredibly sparkly and have so much fire, I've never seen anything else like it. I catch myself staring at it often. Even when the WF diamonds start to get dirty, they are still incredibly sparkly and have intense fire. The Shay diamonds get very dull, cloudy, and lose their sparkle pretty quickly when they are due for a cleaning.

Even when both bracelets are equally clean, the Shay diamonds are still disappointing (dull, cloudy, no fire) compared to the WF diamonds (constant firework show). On their own the Shay diamonds don't look dull or cloudy but when next to WF....the difference is very noticeable.
I have been looking for 0.3ct each tennis bracelet.
I am exactly wondering this point… Thank you for sharing real story before making wrong choice! Now, I will go for WF.

I love baguettes. Picked up this Ring thinking that I could repurpose the setting but now the Ruby is kind of growing on me.

I'm glad my story was able to help you!! You won't be disappointed with WF. You can even decide what color & clarity diamonds you want!

Any pictures? Was it comfortable? Is the lock mechanism difficult to manage?

I didn’t take any pics, unfortunately. I tried on a small two tone gold - which fits my wrist exactly, but I like it a little looser especially since crutches are still part of my world. My husband tried on a solid yellow gold - don’t remember the size - it looked great on him! I also tried on a rose gold with diamonds on the outside edge (8 or 9) medium which I liked best. :-).

The lock mechanism was really clever and simple. One side has little ridges, that’s where you pull it to open the other end, which just pulls out, then you swing it open and over your wrist, and and ‘lock’ it in place. It was easy to do, see, and I didn’t find the tiny marking distracting at all. It’s an elegant design, and for my favorite (RG and diamonds - individually set - not pave) was just under 10k. Lots of gold. Solid feel, but not too much. DH estimates at least 5k of gold alone. Then the design, branding, etc.

I also tried on lots of other things, and now have a schlumberger ruby and diamond yellow gold ring in my future. I’ve been looking for a spacer for my anniversary band (affectionately known as the chainsaw) and newly re-set ER (the chainsaw ate they setting). We picked up a cute little band with tiny rubies and Tiffany & Co branding that we both really liked. So, I officially have my first Tiffany piece (I’m not much of a brand girl).

Here’s the new spacer. It works like a charm! I had to crutch, so no anniversary band today, but I’ll try to take a glam shot with them all together tomorrow am. DC42E938-5B98-477F-8043-B4B97350618C.jpegDC42E938-5B98-477F-8043-B4B97350618C.jpeg

I’m not a huge brand girl either but I LOVE that band!

Beautiful!!

I am eyeing earth-mined OECs below 1ct range in I&R with the intention to treat myself to one as a RHR to mark a soon-to-end contract that I hold dear since 2019.

I may end up blowing the initial budget! :lol-2:

Received my glamour shots from DK so my ring is on the way.

Omg it’s gorgeous. You need to do a dedicated thread on both of your flush set rings!!!
