Your Latest Jewelry Purchases/Things You're Considering....

I have been following Alex Park's LGD IG, and am pleasantly surprised to find a heart shaped LGD under 1.19ct is very affordable.

Therefore, I am considering getting one around 1ct to be set as a Right Hand Ring to add to my RHR collection.

Most likely to be a simple Gypsy rub over setting in Platinum.

1.19ct is the weight of my EC and no new diamond, be it natural or lab grown can trump it. :lol-2:

These are my inspiration rings - must have the notch! :lol-2:

The perfect set!

When I went to Antwerp to pick out my EC at Diamondhouse, there was a lady who worked there with a diamond tennis bracelet with stones at least 1ct/5mm each, and have lusted after one every since.

It is doable with affordable 1ct MRBs at Alex Park's, and I am not blaming anyone on PS for introducing me to his IG for LGDs! :lol-2:

Meet Mr Sunny! He’s a lovely solid & ‘sunny’ 18ct gold.

Backstory: I love to feel the sun on my face - it makes me happy. I close my eyes & just breathe. In 2023 I had 3 moles removed (ironic given I love the sun on my skin, but I’ve always worn SPF & it was just one of those things - the damage was done around 20 years ago: a basal cell, a pre-cancer & a completely clear) & after lots stitches & worry, I treated myself to the Tiffany Smile to remind me to find the joy in life & live a bit more carefree. Mr Sunny is now clipped to the jump ring & hangs about 8mm lower than the bar toggle, getting involved with keeping my spirits positive & happy no matter the weather =)2

Nice to meet you Mr Sunny! Such a wonderful reminder through this piece… and it’s a Tiffany… enjoy him!

PS: I couldn’t find you on IG for that ring you were looking for but it’s at the “E”normous auction site and it’s a size 6.5. Hopefully that hint will help!

Calling all antique Tiffany experts…

Has anyone seen a carved yellow gold blossom Tiffany ring before?

Any guess at an age on this?

I wanted a late 1800’s Tiffany yellow gold band, and a blossom ring someday. This one would *save* me money cause it’s a two-fer … PS math

Ok I need all the details :))

The clamshell box? It’s handmade by Charolette of Kitty Baxter. She is an absolute sweetheart, one of my most favorite vendors I have ever worked with.
I want a dozen more

Wow. What a great haul, @higanbanya ! Such fun! I like the wrap ring best - it is so cheeky and stylish. Love the drops. They look organic and soothing.
The food looks oishi …That egg yolk looks perfect.

You got a great haul! This is making me really want to go to Japan to jewelry shop!

Do you have any recommendations for stores?

Awww thank you!! These were my favourite finds as well!

Glad to influence!! :P this guide from @Pomelo was really helpful for me when shopping around Osaka and Tokyo https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/japan-resale-shops.284639/

Personally, my favourite finds were from Vintage QOO Tokyo https://www.qoo-online.com/item/index.php?keyword=18k&st=&b=&cid=&c=&price_min=&price_max=&stock= which has branches in Osaka and Tokyo

Komehyo Shinjuku was a dream, there were such a huge selection of items, and I nearly went home with a reversible sapphire-diamond ring - still thinking about it!

GALA JEWELRY Okachimachi had a beautiful selection as well, and I really enjoyed shopping there https://alag-in.jp/p/search?sort=priority

Ueno area for walking around random jewelry shops, the pearl ring was from a shop called FIRST IMPRESSION that had friendly staff and a nice selection of loose gems and jewelry

OKURA and Watchnian in general has some nice jewelry finds as well - can’t remember which branches I’ve went to, but I liked the ones in Osaka!

Here are the things that didn’t go home with me… I think about them sometimes

After the coin ring and the remake of the Asscher cut natural blue Topaz with step cut traps cut by Doug Menadue of Bespoke Gems, I shall set the Supernova oval from the same mother rough.

Here is a pic of the finished stones cut from the big mother stone, I have one of the bigger Asschers at the back and the larger oval is my Supernova:

Spec of my Supernova oval:

In the box, next to the Asscher natural blue Topaz and the step cut Topaz traps, the stones are icy blue and very sparkly:

These are the inspiration ring designs, with an air gap/line halo, plain comfort shank 4mm at the top and no millgrain:
