I'm in now! I didn't even do anything, I just couldn't log on this morning and checked back and now I'm in.

Anyway, thank you Leonid!

I've asked for more smilies several times in the past so thank you, Leonid, for expanding the smiley bank.
36.gif
Can we continue to deposit smilies into the smiley bank? There are some real cool ones out there on the net.

I'll try to play around to test all the new features. At least I'm logged in now.

BTW, I really like the new quote display, Leonid.
emthup.gif
Don't know if this has been addressed yet as I haven't read all the comments through this thread yet, but is there a way to edit the quote, IOW, quote only part of a quote?

Thanks again.

Leonid and Alexah... At home I am using a mac.

In Safari and Internet Explorer when I hit reply I have the smilies menu below and "attach file" and "quote" above and to the left of the reply screen, but no menu with link option, etc.

Any advice?

Ame, could you please post the link to the topic(s) that you cannot open?
I can''t get to the thread to link it. Otherwise I would. But it IS the thread I started with cool pics of my stone

Same for me. I use Safari at home but Mozilla from work, both running Jag/Panther.

Well, in the interim, you could always use straight HTML to make a link.

You can do it this way...

The Text Of The Link

For example:

Link To Pricescope

gets you:

Link To Pricescope

This rich editor from Cutesoft is designed for IE and Windows. They probably will support Mozilla in the future but for now it shows plain edit box for all browers but IE

Leonid, nice work, but you forgot one thing: we need an icon for blushing!!!!!

Alexah,

I don''t know why but that example link has had me giggling for, like, 5 minutes.

Is there a file size limit to the total amount of images?

Like if I want to put in 10 photo''s do they have to be under 10kb each?

Leonid,

In the previous version, there are 2 ways of viewing what a particular user has posted:
1. the thread(s) the user started
2. threads by which the user posts in (including the ones he/she started).

For example, in my case, I have posted 300+ times in various threads, but I have only started 3 or so threads.

In this version, I noticed that I am not able to see the threads I or anybody else started - without having to wade through a bunch of old posts.
This makes is difficult to search for a particular topic - esp. if I know exactly who started that particular topic.

So are you doing away with this particular functionality or is this going to be supported eventually?

Katbadness, I''ll see wether it can be restored. Meanwhile one can use search for particular author within certain time period

Leonid,
Previously when I added a link, I could enter a totally different title where the entire url would be hidden. I can''t seem to do it this morning. The entire url shows up.

Check the way to do it on page 2 of this thread.

This is also a test to see if the way Leonid describes the new process works..
Well, it does!
emthup.gif

Duh! I''ve got it now. I guess there''s just no shortcut to it. I thought I could just click on the chain and fill in the blanks. Thanks Katbadness.

Let me try all these extra smilies:

Cool!

Chrono, I thought I set it up
40.gif
. Enter the text you want to display in the title box and it will show up: Jabberwocky

Let me try again:
http://www.pricescope.com

Nope. The colour link works though. The links do not work for me unless I type the word first, highlight it, then link it.

Edited to add:
Drat. When I did the coloured link, it showed up blue in my text box but it returned to black after I submitted my post. Weird.

Ok, the second method chrono mentioned works. The first does not

Thanks for trying Noobie. I felt like an idiot too but I guess I don''t feel too bad now if you are experiencing the same problem.

This new rich editor seems depends heavily on each particular client (IE) script capability
40.gif
. I, for example, cannot get uploading working using Insert Image dialog.

Ok, let me kkow if it''d be too much pain and we''ll switch to something simplier

Hey Leonid- sorry to be a pisser BUT,
how come the names of the members that are currently logged on are no longer
in Alphabetical order?

I am with a few of the others - I use Safari on the Mac and I am not getting all the formating and hyperlink tools I should when repsonding or posting a message.

Everything worked perfectly before.

Luckily - I have VirtualPC with Windows and IE on my Mac as well.

But would like to see you get the revised forum 100% compatible with Safari like it was before.

Thanks
