Blue... pretty, shiny blue...

I am reduced to mumbling and drooling over those gorgeous stones - and I am not about to complain about any photo issues. Do we get another round when you reach 20k posts, Chrono?

Congratulations! Now go back to taking piccies.

Beautiful pictures Chrono, love the stones. You know, I don''t see any gray at all on my monitor.

OK, Chrono is not my son. I should have used the preview before submitting.

Lovely blue stone, thanks for posting the photos!

It''s okay - I know the "s" is supposed to be for the word prior to "on".

Thank you for enjoying the pictures. Your compliments are very generous and too kind. I did much better in the following pictures - it seems as though I need practice to be able to capture the true colour of the gemstones. By special request of a few PS fellow members, I''ve taken more pictures of the mint garnet, pink asscher spinel and tsavorite. The OMC pictures will be in the SMTR section in a couple of days.

I think I've finally got the hang of taking pictures of the asscher. I was able to capture both the colour and the detail of the step cut yesterday.

Please excuse the gross looking hand but I wanted to give a perspective of the stone on my hand.

Sorry for the extreme close up of my hand.

Please ignore all the background and hand; just concentrate on the ring.

Chrono, beautiful - just beautiful

If anyone needs help feeling green this morning, maybe this might help. I’ll start with the mint garnet. I had quite a few requests for the garnet to be showcased alone with claims that it wasn’t fair to photograph it next to the tsavorite.

Please ignore my wrinkly hand but I wanted to give a perspective of size.

Last picture of the mint garnet. More pictures of the tsavorite, Mozambique cuprian and spessartite coming up soon.
