Any Houston Pricescopers?

I am thinking of coming to Houston for a few days and I need to find a reasonably priced hotel. There are a few Best Western hotels pretty near to the city.

Any other suggestions? And anyone fancy a PS meet while I am there?

Hey Maisie,

There are a few of us in Houston. The best western is a good choice. There's a Barry's Pizza on 6003 Richmond Ave., just around the corner that has great food. Dave and Buster's on 6010 Richmond Ave. has an arcade/restaurant/bar and it can be fun if you're wanting a night out. If you follow Richmond Ave. north, make a left on Chimney Rock (right next to Barry's Pizza), and a Right on Westheimer Rd, you'll eventually get to The Galleria; Houston's largest shopping mall.

I spend a lot of time at the Museum of Fine Arts Houston (mfah.org) in Downtown Houston. If you're bringing the kiddo's there's also the Museum of Natural Science (hmns.org) and the Houston Zoo (HoustonZoo.com) just re-did a lot of their exhibitions. There's the Transco Waterfall http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mHNygSP1FTA located uptown near the Galleria. There's also the beautiful Japanese Gardens located in Hernman park near the Zoo and Museum District (jgarden.org)

Is there anything in particular you're wanting to do or see while you're here? I'd love to meet up!

I am probably coming for about 3 or 4 days. I will have my 15 yr old daughter with me. I would definitely like to do some sightseeing while we are there. Isn''t there a Tiffanys there too? I''ve never been to Tiffanys!! Maybe we could all go?

Yup, the Tiffany''s is in the galleria!
I haven''t been to the galleria in YEARS, I think they were still in the middle of adding a new section. So it would be interesting to go!

I''m in Houston too...and there are tons of fun places to go while here. Not sure if we''ll be in town that weekend, as we may be visiting the in-laws in DC...but if I''m here and I can swing it, I''d love to meet up. The Galleria is a great place since there are tons of jewelry stores to check out.

last visit we stayed at Hotel Derek which was fab...my fave hotel there so far.

at the Galleria! Ohhhh, you''re gonna be blown away by the Galleria! So much to see/do.

Just want to throw out though, that if you stay near WF''s office, or anywhere off Richmond/Westheimer/Westchase area, please be sure to be careful when walking around. That area is not the safest area. It''s not terrible by any means, but be on guard. Like any big strage city, be aware of your surroundings.

Yey Metro!! The more the merrier!! The only reason I booked that hotel is because its close to Whiteflash. If I go out in the evening I will probably go by cab.... I might get lost otherwise!

I will be collecting my new baby from Whiteflash! I really need a break, so I thought I might as well just come and get it myself. I don''t know what I am going to do setting-wise, so it probably won''t be ready to collect for ages anyway.

I spoke to Katie a while back after the Dallas meetup fiasco, and she said WF was planning on having a meet and greet some time in the future. I don''t know if they''ve come up with a date yet, but it would be convenient if that was the day, don''t you agree?
