Overall: Light and as low as possible
Center stone: 4 single claw prongs
Head: Plain

You think you're all going batsh*t... I got in a fight last night with the girlfriend while she's gone for the weekend 1000 miles away. I didn't sleep at all last night and wasn't sure if we'd ever even speak again. I think things are ok now, but I was literally sick about it. I couldn't visit PS... it just made it worse. I'm at work now, but I haven't eaten in over 24hrs and still can't eat.

French cuts are really expensive. I don't know why, but they are. Singlestone has some itty bitty french cut eternity bands that are in 2nd mortgage territory.
Here is a french cut 2.12 carat eternity band and it is also about 2k per carat. Leon charges way less for his than Singlestone and you get his workmanship and ability to select great looking stones.
Charmy, I'm def no expert, but isn't pave super labor intensive? I mean, for mine, it's just slip em into ye olde channel.

Charmy, there are a lot of diamonds on there, and each set by hand. Split shank basically means 2 rings worth! Can we tabulate how many their are, and then divide it by your quote. Then do the same for others with pave. Is it comparable? I would expect your ring to cost almost double what a similar ring with only one shank would cost.

Shadowplay, sometimes it just totally helps to release what happened, even if it''s just mentioning the fight without details to your internet friends. And you realize how normal it is. Most of the times, it''s not what you''re fighting about that matters... more in how you fight and how you make up. Even if you don''t come to a meeting of the minds regarding the topic, you can always conclude by letting the other person know you love them and will do your best to understand their concerns.

That ring looks pretty intricate. The only sure way is to ask Leon. I think the pictures aren''t always a accurate representation, especially with Leon''s rings, which is part of the problem. They don''t always
show the true intricacy. It is like two rings, as Dreamer said and maybe more melee. I don''t even know how much, in terms of carat weight, are in my ring. As we have said before in this thread,
it does seem that any alteration in a design of Leon''s makes the price go up. I can tell you this Charmy, having looked at Jack Kelege, Bridget Durnell, Tacori, Michael B and a few others, the
value does seem to be there. For instance, many Tacori rings come close to the 10k price point with much less melee in total. The same is true with the others. That kind of sealed the deal for me
as far as Leon was concerned.
I think this is all part of the craziness of waiting for a Leon. But if it is really bothering you I would ask Leon about it. It approached in the right tone I am sure he will give you his thoughts on it. I would
have to have that settled in my mind. If I felt the value of what i was getting was good. It sounds like that is what your are struggling with to me. You want to feel that what you are paying is roughly
equal to what you are getting. That has many variables that is different for each person.

I think I just don't get the jewelry making complexity .. LOL. One jeweler told me that halos were more complex than split shanks. Another said split shanks were more complex than halos.
Oops .. I forgot to say that I actually made changes to this ring. The split goes into one band versus two full bands so I am only getting maybe 7 more diamonds on each side. I am also going single sided pave because I really want Mushroom Pave. Would you say with these changes it is more complex than say Luv's especially for a 2.75 finger?
I am not complaining .. I think Leon has been very accomdating with me and trying to make it work within my price. I am just trying to understand why certain things cost more than others. My fiance says it is because I am a PITA customer. As an example, my quote for the Daniel K split crown is over $1000 cheaper than my current setting but in terms of daimonds .. I think it is almost the same. That's why I am all confused.
I should also add - I am in no way questioning the value. I just want to understand how pricing works - why does one ring cost more than another .. or is it truly random. Leon's work is way better than anything else I have seen. My fiance went a different route the first time around based on the feedback here that Leon was difficult to work with. After seeing Leon's work, I know there is no one else recommended here that can compare.
