Whoa, Wintotty, only a couple more weeks for you Yeah!!! I can''t wait to see your ring! The wait is hard, isn''t it. Time flies when you don''t want it to, and drags when you do. I think a wait for a Leon
is even harder because you have even less to go on. Other vendors send you cad''s so you have more of an idea. With Leon, a big fat nothing. Although you did get to see all your lovely stones lined
up!

Maybe Megeve''s, and Ltlfirecrackers rings will help us pass the time.

I am generally pretty busy as I am sure you are with your little one, you would think that would help, but surprisingly no! I was just looking at the Pearl outlet. They have a big sale starting today. I am tempted. I am stalking earrings on BGD daily and I did buy a new watch on overstock, but I am so trying to be good!

I''ve been feeling better since I made my 8-10 year want list/plan. I still troll all the diamond sites, but it helps. I really want to go to Singlestone, Diamonds by Erica Grace and 23rd Street when I''m back in LA, but won''t let myself until at least next summer so I won''t be tempted.
 
Debby, you crazy girl, don''t you know I don''t HAVE 8-10 years! I turned 50 last year, so I could literally go at any second!

Ok, my first post here, hope I can jump in. I am new to being a member of Pricescope, but have been aware of it and check it from time to time.

I will likely sign a work order with Leon this week. I put a deposit on a cushion sourced through Perry a couple of weeks ago when I was in NYC, but I still don''t know for sure what setting! It''s for my right hand, for an anniversary. I had been thinking something like his 313 setting that really highlights the center stone, but Leon was totally thinking halo or 3-stone for a RHR. He had some gorgeous french cuts when I was there (which one of you is doing french cuts? I saw a sold calibre-cut set that was out of this world, and I''m thinking it was MissyDebby who has spoken for those? Or were yours all the same size?). And I am a sucker for french cuts, I have them in a sweet vintage eternity band from my first anniversary. He proposed doing a little line in a cathedral channel, using maybe 5 on each side.

I didn''t originally go in thinking Halo, but I had that 3 carat cold fusion ring ON MY HAND (mentioned earlier in this thread) in his office, and I am wondering if that is the route I want to go. My DH saw one with a 4-5 carat on someone''s hand this weekend and thought it was amazing.

Btw, you all have amazing taste in jewelry, I enjoyed reading through the posts and hearing about your selections. I will have to re-read to try and keep everything straight. Brain''s not what it used to be.

Looking forward to hearing--and SEEING--more! You are right, I need a support group to wait for 6+ weeks!

cuts and Wintotty got the calibrated stones. There is also a five stone cushion, I think for Vbnet, if I am not mistaken. Ltlfirecracker is getting a bead set wedding band, and I am sure you saw Megeve''s
kicken yellow diamond. We are all holding our breaths for more on that beauty. I have about 3 weeks and I have a 313 Ashley coming. I think Wintotty has a mere two weeks left.

Six weeks doesn''t seem like a long time at the outset, but when your waiting it d r a g s!

us started out with one direction in mind and then completely changed and went with something else. I originally was sure that I was going to get the Heidy. It was the first ring that I saw that took
my breath away. After much thought and deliberation I switched and went to the 313 Ashley. I wanted the ring to be a new e-ring and a forever one so I took some time (a year) to make sure.

I am sure whatever you pick will be awesome. Not everyone on PS wants to work with Leon, but most love to see the product he turns out.

Oh and I forgot Charmypoo, she has a split shank coming that will be fabulous and Shadowplay should have received his by now, but I haven''t seen it. I think he is holding out on us!

Yes, congrats on signing the work order!!! So excited for for you. Wintotty and I are both getting French Cuts. I have a 1 carat with probably 5 on each side in a cathedral setting. Wintotty is has a 3 carat D with graduated french cuts. Treebean just received her ring with the antique calibre sides and has a threas on that on the second page of Show Me The Bling. I love the Cold Fushion and want to someday have that for a RHR.

Luv! Only 50? Gurl, you're just out of the crib!

I wish I was holding out on you! I don''t have it yet. It is now three weeks from the time they received my signed work order/check and I was quoted 4.5-6 weeks (6 being likely he said) so I''m roughly half way there now.

I went to see Singlestone and 23d Street Jewelers while in LA. Definetly worth it!!

roughly then. I can''t imagine why a little tiny spacer band should add another whole week to my wait time. Usually Leon whips out rings without stones a bit faster.

Well, Debby all I can say is I want to go with you to all the local places. We could also stop in and see Bridget Durnell while you are at it. She is in Rolling Hills Estates. I have never been to Jewels by
Erica Grace either and I have been wanting to make an appointment at Pearl Paradise which is also in LA. We could set up quite a GTG and hit them all.
 
My FI has my Leon wedding band. I asked him what he thought and he said it is "exquisite." He said the thinks it will be the perfect complement to my e-ring and can't wait to see them together. Now I just have to get to Thursday night.

Well, it was two weeks ago when I said 3.5 - 5 weeks so no wishful thinking. Now it''s two weeks later and I have 1.5-3 weeks left... seems like an eternity even though I don''t plan to propose for a while (possibly not even this year?).
 
Three weeks ago seems like forever now!!! Will you show us the ring before you hide it away, Shadowplay?
 
Or two weeks, I just picked up on the three week thing and it feels like it has been so much longer.
 
Have you guys clicked on Leons advertisement on the header recently? It says ''You are probably tired worn out from reading all those threads on the Pricescope dished out by self appointed experts''.

I guess Leon does read threads after all. Interesting.

I am a bit strange .. I probably would rather be the first person to try it on (at least with me knowing).
 
I don''t think it is in any way inappropriate, but if you think it may bug her, I wouldn''t do it. I would just take a photo of you holding it or on your pinky.

Some women probably wouldn''t like their ring on someone else''s finger before theirs. It is a very sentimental thing. Better to be cautious I am thinking.

Yep... my pinky between the first and second knuckle is about a 4.25 and her ring finger is a 4.375, so I'll throw it on there and take some photos :).

That would be crazy fun!!! Maybe I can get my Leon and AVC earrings shipped to my sister so I can have them both during that day. Cause if I go to those places without my purchases, I''m gonna DIE!
 
Hi everybody, I managed to step away for a couple of days (grading final exams) and had soo much to catch up on. Luv, only 50, me too!! We have years of jewelry buying to do! Read everybody''s wait time and am dying, it''s only been 2 weeks for me. I can''t STAND IT.

oh, I get it, it''s on his artofplatinum page. LOL my sentiments exactly. I feel sorry for some of the people who ask for advice as some of it gets to be just a little over the top, at least for me. If you don''t go with some certain vendors, some of the people on ps tend to make you a bit uncomfortable as if you might not have a nice stone - I don''t buy it. Anyway, I got a laugh so thanks
