Awww... thanks sweetie. I was just taken a bit a back that he thought I was on a different side based on where he purchased his diamond. I really don''t care. I was simply trying to point something out - I am not saying what is better.Date: 5/27/2010 4:52:28 PM

Charmy, absolutely not. And it says loads about your character that you ask.
I want CCL''s voice there. He is brilliant. I''ve known a lot of brilliant analytical types in my time (my dad for example) and they can just have a total mental block when it comes to empathy. I was only slightly joking about the Asperger''s quip.
But can I tell you something? Since I''ve been here, some of the best, most honest and consistent advice on all the threads have come from you and Dreamer. I should have told you that before. So now you know

Called them yesterday to verify timeframe and they said the metal work was completed but now they needed to set the melee. I sent off my final payment today. I should have them in two weeks - hopefully by the 11th of June!

Shadowplay, refresh my memory, what setting did you get? I thought it was the 986, did you have pave on the shoulders?
That is exciting news! I received an email from Rachael that they received my final payment, but I forgot to include the letter about the insurance. I ran that baby out to the post office! I hope I am
going to get mine by the 15th. I would rather have it by the 6th, but at this point what is another week!
I just hope it is all good. I am so very nervous that something will be wrong. Trying not to think about it....

Is it rude to ask how much we paid for the setting?
Absolutely - I was interested in understanding the price for each our designs. He charged me $1300 (not including shipping) for a size 2.75 eternity string pave band. I would think that small size = cheaper ... but I guess not. My setting is way over budget so I am a little embarassed to say.Date: 5/27/2010 10:30:20 PM

I think the answer is going to be individual. I will tell you (esp since the post probably will not migrate) it was almost $1700 with shipping.
I think it will be around 1.5 mm thick. I just said a similar width to the e-ring but we don''t know the width until it''s made - it will be as thin as possible.Date: 5/27/2010 10:37:42 PM

Was your band thinner? I think the smaller stones are more labor intensive and you need more to go all the way around. My band has 33 stones in it.
I am jealous of your finger size.

Nothing to be jealous about .. I can't wear a lot of things I want because it looks silly on my finger! Don't have much room for intricate designs.
Are you going with 3 sided pave too?Date: 5/28/2010 9:54:05 AM

I don''t mind sharing. Mine was 4500, an additional 750 for a 1.5 mm spacer, 50 for a ruby 80 for engraving-no shipping insurance. When I first got the quote about 8 months ago it was 4000.
