Pink cell phone cover? I get a lot of pink pics too. Try putting something white (ie papertowel) around your phone. .. like magic pink disappears. ..

I finally dropped off my Ideal Round at the jeweler today with a setting I bought last weekend. I chose a bezel which I bought last weekend in the LA diamond district. I wish I got to see David Klass’s counter since everyone talks so much about his work on PS, but he doesn’t work on weekends, it seems.

Anyway, my completed ring will take a week or so, but I’m hoping my guy gets it done sooner than that. I will make sure I post pics here when I get it!

Edit: a little off topic but if you are in the LA area or are visiting LA, it’s worth going to the diamond/jewelry district! So many gems and settings at great prices, oh my god!

I wanted to ask you since there is no PMing here, but do you have a diamond Emerald Cut? I wasn't sure how the moissy emerald cut compared/differed to an emerald cut diamond.

No I don’t have a diamond emerald cut @sd_flp I don’t know how it would compare..only that it is absolutely gorgeous and sparkly in person..There’s one thing that I was surprised about and David had to adjust his drawings ...but the corners seem to be more clipped. I meant to ask @Rhino but keep forgetting..I was expecting a little clip on the edge but it’s more pronounced...but it’s so beautiful I only gave it a second or two thought..Can you explain @Rhino? Thanks!
Edit...I just looked up an antique emerald cut and they have deeper clipped edges so I answered my own question..

I think more pronounced clipped corners is exactly why I prefer antique emerald cut to modern.

It’s just a simple setting without ornamentation set in a basket with the edges of the basket also clipped to the shape of the stone. The stone is pretty enough on it’s own and I can use some of my bands that don’t go with my mrb with tapered baguettes..I can’t wait to get it..

I’m so sorry if I’m not following proper etiquette (longtime researcher, aka lurker, ie not brave enough to post!). I have a beautiful antique Art Deco setting from LAD that had a perfect OEC which I had to sell. I bought a 7.5mm transitional moissy from her to replace it and it’s lovely. A bit cloudy at times, but probably just needs proper cleaning. Anyway, I have a yellow gold solitaire with white gold basket id prefer for daily wear (I’m clumsy and bump my rings into everything) and I’m struggling with my moissy choice. Any suggestions? I’m pretty sure I want to go AV because they’re so well cut. It’s between OEC, MRB, or elongated AVC. Size help too! I thought probably an 8mm in one of the rounds. I’m a size 4. Here is the solitaire with the transitional and it back in its Art Deco home.

@Jgramm I'm thinking of selling my just newly bought 8.5mm AVR Moissanite because my boyfriend has made it clear he will only accept a diamond for my/ our ER. So before it sits around I think I will sell it for 750 dollars (Retail 1400 dollars without any sales) including shipping.

But to be honest if my hand was a size 4 I would go with 7.5mm or 8mm. But the AVR Cut is really beautiful. It took me 2 weeks to decide between the MRB or AVR and I'm so happy I went with the AVR. It sparkles beautifully and when you look at it closer it's just so unique and can't be mistaken for a cz

With my baguette band. Please excuse my red finger..My finger is swollen and I shoved it on! Lol

The bands don’t fit underneath so will have to try bands out. I’ll have to wear a skinny band..I tried my Cartier band which is 2mm. It fits better but not perfectly..It’s a little too thick..I’ll have to try a spacer..I just realized it’s less than a 6.25 so it’s not the right size! It’s in between a six and a 6.25..I have to wear it first and then the band.
