The gallery of one of the rooms - we made friends with a group of Americans that were staying in this appartment. The fresco on the ceiling is by Pucci.

It really was amazing.

Two sites to remember.

www.rentvillas.com - it was how we found the second castle, and www.car-rental-italy.com - we got our car from Ricardo - for super cheap!

Day trip to Maranello to the Ferrari Museum.

Ferrari.

They were playing a film that had TV and movies strung together which featured Ferraris. Right there, I''m watching the scene in Fast and the Furious "Ferrari, more than you can afford, pal."

The first 360 Barchetta.

Then we were off to Florence for the day. I adored Florence, my only complaint was that the Uffizzi sells out a week in advance, and I couldn''t access the internet to purchase tickets online. I was so gutted, but the rest of the city is just gorgeous.

Inside the Duomo.

We ended up not climbing the Duomo, because we had waited 20 minutes, and the line hadn''t moved at ALL! We walked around the side to the tower, and there was no line, and the view was amazing!
