The Ponte Vecchio - the only bridge that survivied WWII.

Sunset in Tuscany.

And, that's it!

That was a lot of pictures to upload, but I have about 800 more, so if there was something you want to see more of, I probably have a pic of it.

Wow... so beautiful.... I would love to go on a trip like that...

Do you have any photos of the Almafi coast?

Lauren great pictures; they bring back some lovely memories of our honeymoon, thanks! My favorite city's when we went were the Amalfi coast, Rome, Como and Florence; Italy is just so dang romantic and the food is out of this world!!

Glad you had a wonderful time!!! Did you go to Pompeii? Hubby did the top of the Duomo in Florence; I could only do half ways as I was too claustrophobic. hehe

Oh Lauren, your pictures are GORGEOUS. You take beautiful pictures. I just loved looking at them. I hope DH and I can go to Italy one day. You and your hubby are adorable. Thank you for sharing your pictures with us.

Linda

Beautiful photos! Would you mind sharing where you stayed in each place you visited? If not, then I understand. I just want FI to consider Italy for a honeymoon, so I thought I'd show him the photos and try to convince him.

Sorry if you already said and I missed it!

ETA: Never mind!! I found it on your first post, silly me, I was so excited looking at pictures that I missed it.

I''m trying to convince my husband to take me to Italy! Its a three hour flight away and I really want to go!

I love the pictures where we can see your shadows... you are holding hands! Beautiful!!

Gorgeous photos! Italy is so unbelievably beautiful--it sounds like you guys had an amazing time!!!

Amazing photos! You brought back so many memories of my trip there years ago.

Now I''m going to close my eyes and pretend that I got to sit in that tub while looking at that view...stunning!!!

The whole stretch of coastline is considered the Amalfi Coast. I''ll dig around and see if I can find anymore that turned out nicely. I''m sure I have a few.

I LOVED Positano, and would do it again in a heartbeat! I also really loved Florence, and wished we could have had time to go to the Lake Garda, and a few of the other Italian great lakes. We''ll probably go to the north the next time we go to Europe, which is probably next year.

We also didn''t make it to Pompeii or Hurculaneum (sp.) because we were only in Positano 2 nights. If I could do it over again, I would have spent those 3 days we spent near Arezzo in Amalfi.

Next time.

DO IT! This was like our belated honeymoon, and it was phenomenal!

The only thing that was rough was the exchange rate. We were absolutely shafted by the Euro, but it was still a wonderful trip and I''m so glad we made it!

Very beautiful pictures, it was really fun looking at them! You guys look like a wonderful couple!

Thank you so much for posting your pictures. What a great trip!
Post more if you can.

Such wonderful photos! It looks like you had a great time!

Thaks so much for sharing those pics. I am enjoying Italy vicariously through you! My bf has been 5 times but I have yet to go... But obvi he has had his fair share for now and has a lot of other places he wants us to go. My only shot would be to get married there, but we are even reconsidering that now... Out of curiousity... How was the exchange? Did you find everything to be off the wall expensive?

WOW those pics are amazing! My DH and I are traveling to Milan and Rome and then off to Split and Dubrovnik in Croatia this July. Any tips for traveling in Rome? Did you go to Milan at???

Welcome back! Looks like a great trip. Any babies WE should know about?!?

I guess I missed it but how long did you go? Did you do a tour? Sorry.. I''m terrible, aren''t I?
7.gif
Hehe, no you''re not terrible!

We left the 13th, got back the 27th, and we rented a car and drove it ourselves.

Honestly, the exchange KILLED us.

We thought we were spending about $5k, and ended up spending about $7,500 all told in hotels, food, car rental, airfare, etc.

It was completely worth it, though. Completely!

We didn''t make it to Milan, but I think if we ever go to Italy again, it will be the north - Milan, Como, Gardo, and Venice.

I can''t believe it took until the 3rd page . . . but no.

W and I don''t plan on having any babies until he''s 30, and until we can squeeze one more European trip out.

A woman at work asked me if I got pregnant on the trip, and if we tried. God help me, but I turned so red I was purple!

I absolutely LOVE your pictures! My DH and I are planning to take our daughters next year (they''ll be 15 and 17) to Italy. I want to see Rome, go somewhere in Tuscany and see the Amalfi Coast. Is Positano on the Amalfi Coast? (I think so?) I''m a bit confused as to how to start planning this trip. I don''t really know the minimum no. of days we''ll need. I assume you did this on your own and it wasn''t a tour. How did you do with getting around etc., assuming you don''t speak Italian? I told the girls it is a choice between Italy and Alaska and they chose Italy. I hope they won''t be bored looking around at a bunch of old buildings (lol) Any tips for me? Thanks in advance.

Lauren, I am glad you said that; I was thinking am I the only one that thought it was a bit expensive!?!? I mean we planned that it would be a lot more expensive but for a casual lunch everyday w/out drinks it was $75-$80 and $120 or more for dinner which was somewhat casual too!! Paris was a bit cheaper than Barcelona for some reason
37.gif
but still it was pricey. I also compare it to when we were in Europe when the dollar pretty good back in 2000 and 2002. I do think it is worth it though; it is one of those experiences that is amazing!!!
9.gif
It is priceless when you are walking in a building that is was built in 125 AD like the Pantheon
3.gif
or seeing a fountin designed by Bellini.

ETA: Next time do Como; if you love the quiet of the Amalfi coast you will love Como. Both are soooo romantic! Your trip sounds fab!

ETAA: Lauren you DROVE?!?!? Wow, you are brave, seriously!!! hehe
