Congratulations again Ella. I didn't expect to "see" you until next week with twins, recovering stuff and all. Pumping is no fun but when you think about your own body providing nutrition to your babies, your heart will swell and realize you are doing something very important for them. Glad to hear that nursing is going well for you. Rest WOMAN! And don't be afraid to ask anybody for help.

Baby C is on the mend. He picked up some winter bug from his cousin. Lots of fluids is what the doc ordered. He's holding milk down well (thank God) but throws up baby food, so no food for now to let his tummy settle down. He didn't vomit last night so that's a good sign. Thank you Tacori, Diver and Aljdewey for your concern and good wishes.

Now hubby hurt his back and I have to look after the entire family! He can barely move, much less bend down. It's weird helping your own hubby get dressed in the morning, followed by dressing 2 other little ones.

Ella! I am so happy for you and Q! Happy birthday to the twins!!! Sounds like you are doing great. Rest up girl and take advantage of the nursery!!! Haha!

DS, those are so beautiful! I got a quote from Brownlee (there is one by my house) and the smallest sapphires they can get (custom) is 3mm. They come in three colors, blush (lightest) rose, and flamingo (hot pink). We might just have to do some shopping!

I want to take my time and really get something I and someday Tessa will love forever.

UPDATE!!!! I went out to dinner with some friends (all mommies of babies) and had such a great time. I felt so refreshed when I came home (to a sleeping baby and hubby). Tessa went 5 hours (TWICE) between feedings last night!

Then 3.5 hours. She was such a good girl. Then she was moaning so I got her up and she smiled at me. Can''t tell if it was a real smile but I''ll take it. I hope this isn''t just a once in awhile thing. Can things change around so quickly???

And I am up 16 lbs (eeek) at my last weigh-in.
I''m a bit freaked out about that because it is alot for my 5ft frame.

Here it is 4:23 am and baby Tessa is NOT a happy camper. I am running the Dyson right now (only thing that puts her to sleep) This is after I changed her, rocked her, sang to her, put her on her play mat....she wants to eat but its only been an hour!

Oh well. I guess I get to catch up on PS!

Lili, I hate to say this but my belly is bigger than yours and I am 5 weeks out! You are SOOOO tiny. Looks like you are just bloated! I can''t believe you think you are big. Crazy girl. Seriously you look great....

Chrono, hope your DH''s back gets better soon! At least baby C sounds like he is on the mend.

Any mommies out there use Axid for their babies? Tessa had her first dose tonight.

oh tacori, so sorry you were up with tessa. don''t worry, the rough nights will become less frequent and the sleeping will get to be in longer spurts. the first few weeks are just plain HARD!!!! try to nap with her today if you can...

I found I had a huge belly growth spurt b/w weeks 22 and 25 (approaching week 25) the baby is putting on weight so rapidly right now...
Seems like all of us around the 22-25 week mark are up about 15 to 20 lbs, so i think it''s normal--you look amazing so don''t sweat it (easier said than done, I know)

Lili, that is not what happens when you are 22 weeks pregnant. That is what happens when you simply have an extra serving on mash potatoes over Thanksgiving. That''s wrong! I ain''t posting my pic after THAT! I look like I''m 24 weeks pregnant AND I ate your baby for lunch!

Yup Jas, I am 24 weeks pregnant and have gained 15 pounds. I was 10 pounds over my wedding weight when I started, so the entire thing is NOT pretty!!!! And yes, I had some kind of crazy growth spurt between 21 weeks and 24. That''s my story and I''m sticking with it!

Thanks MrsS! So Tessa is on her play gym and is really enjoying it! She was even smiling. I got a great photo I''ll have to post. I am glad I spent a little more and got a really nice one. She is kicking her feet on these wind chimes things. I know she doesn''t KNOW she is making the sound but it is still cool to watch. She DID reach up and hit one of the toys. It was so cute.

Tacori, I''m so sorry Tessa''s sleep patterns are screwy. It will get better--I promise. Hopefully the Axid will help. She looks absolutely adorable on her activity mat--I think we have the same one!! And yes, the hair does fall out but it grows back! It totally freaked me out to see hair on the bed and on the boppy and everywhere she would put her head. But it grows back and in Lily''s case it actually came back a much lighter color (like her dad). Tessa is a major cutie. I wish we could all get together for a playdate!

MrsS, I can''t believe it has been 5 weeks either (even though the days DO seem long). Pretty soon you will be posting pics of your little boy.

Curly, oh Lily and her would have so much fun. Too bad! Is your mat the "tiny love" one? She loves it. So cute. I like how the sides button up too and how you can add and move around the toys. I am guessing Tessa''s hair will grow in lighter too. I was blonde until I was 4 or so and DH was a toe head. His hair was sooooo blonde. I just think it is funny b/c it seems to only be falling out on top (like an old man) the rest is kind of like a mullet. It is really long in the back. All business in the front, party in the back. It''s pretty funny. I am curious to see what color her eyes turn too (mine are brown, DH''s are blue).

I hope the Axid works too. She spit up SOOO much today. A huge one 3 hours after a feeding. She soaked her back while we were all sleeping with spit. I felt so bad for her. Sometimes milk even comes out of her little nose.

Quick question: How does everyone heat up breast milk from the fridge? Also how do you thaw frozen milk?

Tacori: Tessa is adorable!! we have the exact same play mat and my son loves all the colors....

re: reheating/thawing: i used to use the Avent Food warmer to warm breast milk out of the fridge..as for thawing, i would just put the bag down in the fridge overnite and then use the food warmer to heat it, otherwise if i didnt have that long, id just leave it on the counter top to thaw naturally ...i would never re-heat milk though...even if my son decided he didnt want to drink, or only drank a bit i ended up throwing it all ...
