Calling all the Pregnant PS''ers

Fisher, it is true that you are suppose to be able to help chose the sex by timing it. I know Curly did it. I read that one is faster than the other (but can''t remember which) so the early days before you ovulate you are more likely to have a certain sex than if you conceive later. We didn''t care which sex we had and got preggo the first month so it is not a theory I really explored.

So I was off duty from 2 am - 10 am (though I got up around 7 to pump). It was lovely but I was surprised by how much I MISSED her. I feel asleep imagining her little face. Poor little miss Tess has a cold I think. She has been coughing and sneezing and not eating as much (and sleeping more). Hopefully it will go away on its own. I feel sick too so it must be going around. She is still in a good mood so she must not be in too much pain. My dad said I don''t need to call the doctor until she has been coughing for a week (she doesn''t have a fever). I still feel bad for her though. Baby coughs and sneezes are heartbreaking!
39.gif

Yeah boy sperms (carrying the Y chromosome) swim faster than girl sperms (carrying X chromosome), but girl sperms have more endurance/live longer than boy sperms.

tacori, i''m glad you were finally able to get some rest!! i totally get that you *missed* her though. I''m still like that with my girls. I just can''t wait for a break or a night without them and then I miss them horribly.

so how are the rest of you doing. I got up early, well actually woke up at 4:30 with leg pains and couldn''t go back to sleep
20.gif
, so i updated my registry for my shower that is only a couple of weeks away. then I met my sister and another friend at a park for a 3 mile hike. I actually was proud of myself for still keeping a pretty good pace making it in a hour. we were close to 50 minutes prior to both my sister and i becoming preggo. So, still pretty good and the excercise felt great. although I am exhausted now and will go to bed early for sure. counting down the weeks hoping that there are only about 6 left for me. I''m ready!!

off to bake some chocolate chips cookies i''ve been craving
18.gif
...so much for burning any extra calories on the hike
9.gif

MrsS, is it common to have baby showers after the first? I figured I was done
3.gif
I felt silly for missing her (seeing how we spend almost all day, everyday together) but I couldn''t help it. Just kept seeing her nose crinkle (when she smiles big) and kicks her legs up (when she gets excited to see us). She is SUCH a cutie! It is going to be hard to leave her for 5 days but I think it will be good for my marriage.

Arggg....I remember the leg cramps well. Don''t miss those. Hope the cookies turned out great.
18.gif

tacori, I don''t know if it''s common or not. I didn''t have a shower when i had my second. of course, having babies so close in age and the same sex, i didn''t really need anything. I didn''t really want one this time either, but since i''m having a boy my sister and close friends are insisting. I had 2 huge showers with my first. This time it will be very small, maybe 12 people, mostly family and close friends. my registry has like 5 things on it. the lady at BRU was giving me such a hard time. she''s like "you really need 100 items." I told her this is my 3rd baby and for the most part I still have much of what I would need. I still have my pack n play, all the car seats past the infant seat (which i did get rid of when i thought we were done), my highchair, my crib, etc. So, there are only a couple of things I really need. a new stroller and infant seat, a swing and a few other things, but that''s it. So, all that to say, no, you really don''t need a shower and I never would have expected or asked for one. it''s just something my closest friends and family want to do for me and Jake..

still waiting for my darn oven to heat up.....
37.gif

That is sweet of them. When I was dressing Tessa this morning I was thinking how it would be so much easier if we have another girl (we wouldn''t need anything!) but even with a boy all we would need would be clothes and isn''t that what grandparents are for?
3.gif
it is seriously SCARY how full her closet is. I swear she has more clothes than I do.

So glad you got some well deserved rest Tacori. I hear you on missing her. I know I felt the same way. I had a baby shower for my first, that was big got everything I needed. With my second, I opted not to have one as I had everything I needed. Just needed boy outfits.... They were so close together nothing was outdated. Shopping today is a whole different entity.

MrsS pass some chocolate chip cookies, I''m hungry!!!

it was like that with my girls too. they would literally outgrow clothes b/f I even got the tags off them. My oldest is the first grandchild for my parents and they went nutso. Both of my girls have way more clothes than I do. Lily not only gets Chloe''s hand me downs, I feel guilty and buy her new stuff too. last I counted she had 13 pairs of jeans and the funny thing is, she will only wear dresses or babydoll tops with leggings. She hates pants or jeans. I actually like that my girls love to dress like little girls. my hubby has always called them my little babydoll''s b/c of how i like to "play dress up" with them
3.gif
. you''ll have so much fun dressing tessa as she gets bigger too!!

4.gif
Ladies, thank you so much for the nice comments.
I feel so huge and stretched already. Can''t believe that I have 8 more wks to "grow".
Trust me, I am more then just belly.
I''ve got lot of weight gain going into my behind and legs
14.gif

LC--
I agree, the mini men are under-represented here.
Well, it''s up to you, MsF, Diver, and NJC to show them off
2.gif

JackieJas--
About the pain in your right hand. I agree with Ellaila in that it may be carpal tunnel.
My mom had it with all her pregnancies and it went away after she delivered.
My SIL had it with her first pregnancy, but it lingered after she delivered....so she had an operation to fix it.
You may want to talk to your doctor about it.
Anyway, so exciting that you are going to tell the family soon!
Let us know how it goes.

MsF--
Love the v-day pix of Ian.
He''s such a burly little guy.
Most men love infants like that...makes them feel like they don''t have to be gentle with the babies.

MrsS--
Hehe, I''ve gain way too much-- not too far behind you ladies.
I''m in digits that I''ve never seen before in my life.
32.gif

It''s scary to think that I still have 8 more weeks to go!

Wow, I don''t know how you have the energy and stamina to go on 3-mile hike (and in under an hour!)
I was just outside doing my yard, and I was poop after 1/2 hour already....and that is way easier than hiking.

Ella--
Like you said, we are our own worst critic. I''m sure you look way smaller than you think.
You didn''t look big in your last photo before your delivery (and you were carrying twins!)
I''d be ecstatic if I can drop that much weight within 2-3 wks of delivery!

Diva--
Don''t be shy....you are among friends, so pix please.
That''s great that you gained back the weight you lose due to m/s.
And I believe that was fetal movement you felt.
I felt my little one pretty early in my pregnancy too.
It was more sporadic at 15-16 wk and gets more consistent 18 wks onward.
It gets fun after 22 wk....because you literally can feel all types of acrobatic moves that the baby is doing.
1.gif

Don''t worry too much about not eating healthy -- you deserve to indulge your cravings.

Tacori--
1.gif
you are making me blush. Thank you.
So what have you decided on your stones? So far, I don''t think we are of any help since the vote seems split-- light pink, darker stones, light blue
37.gif

Anyway, that''s so sweet of your DH to give you a night off.
So is this going to be a weekly thing?
1.gif

Awee..sorry to hear that Tessa came down with a cold.
I know what you mean about seeing a baby who is sick.
You just want to take all the cold symptoms from them, but you can''t.
Hope she feels better soon.

Qtiekiki--
That''s great about the weight gain, although you can totally afford to gain a few pounds or so base on your latest pic
2.gif

Hehe, I have the same problem too when they draw blood. My blood pressure is pretty low and my veins are pretty small.
They always have a hard time finding a vein to prick at and it took forever to give them one vial.
It was funny because the lab tech had to siphon some blood out of the other vials one time when they had to draw 9 vials
for the preliminary bloodwork because after the 6th vial, my blood was just not coming out.

Good luck on the AFP screening!

MrsS--
Yum....
18.gif

Now you got me wanting some sweets too.

lili, DH okayed it to be a weekly thing
36.gif
He wanted to let me sleep longer but he was worried about her not eating enough (she only took 2 oz of formula over a 9 hour span). I think it was b/c she is feeling sick (though she is still acting like a happy baby). She has taken more naps today than I can count! Hopefully she will sleep the cold away.

Still haven''t decided on what shape pink. I am also still waiting from a quote from Pearlman''s....my quotes seem to be taking forever these days!
20.gif
WF totally ignore mine but it is ok since I found a stock ring exactly what I want (and theirs was suppose to be for a custom quote).

MrsS, I hope T is a girly girl. Vote''s still out. She has some 3/6 month jeans but they are huge on her. She is such a petite little thing. DH bought her some camo outfits and didn''t understand the confused look on my face. I asked why he shopped in the boy section and he INSISTED it was in the unisex section. The fact he bought her clothes was pretty cute since he doesn''t even buy his OWN clothes. Guess I should have focused on that.

MrsS--
That is so cute that your girls already has a preference in the type of clothes they wear at this age
1.gif

So do they go shopping for their clothes with you?
Hehe, do they go through your closet and see which outfits they''ll want for themselves when they are older and can fit into them?
My nieces are like that with my sister. It''s so cute, they''d be asking their mom to keep the clothes for them when they are older.

I suspect that he''s a bit jealous that you get so much bonding time with Tessa in BF

That''s really sweet of DH cuz that one day of good night sleep will do wonder for you.
Everyone needs at least one night of rest to recuperate.

)

MrsS: Sweet about the baby shower :) i too was wondering if u should have one after the first one, but considering its a different gender, then i guess that does make sense

re the clothing: my mom was just telling me yesterday that i should plan for another boy so he can take advantage of all my firstborns outfits (he can probably wear an outfit everyday without repeating it for 3 weeks!)...lets just say being the first ''nephew/grandchild'' has made the family go crazy with the ''buying''...

Diver/tacori/ella/mrsf: love the v-day pics!!! ur babies are just too cute!!

msb, hope your little one has a better night tonight!!! We are sick at our house too. Poor Tessa seems to have it the worse. No fever though just cough and sneezing/stuffy nose. my throat is KILLING me. But I remind myself that I have not been sick for over a year (didn''t get sick my entire pregnancy) so I guess I am due. Have you mentioned when you are going to try for another?!?

Thank you for posting them.
MsK and BigG are so big now.
MsK has such a grown up smile!
Oh, did you get your answer to MsK's mark from the doctor?

Tacori--
Sorry to hear that you are not feeling well.
Hope you and Tessa recovers soon.

msb--
Hope your little one feels better too.
Hmm....interesting response to Tacori's question

How old is your little one again?

Oh wow, congrats JackieJas!!!
I should make that double congrats.
How sweet!

Jas, OMG!!!! I can''t believe it! You must be shocked. So are you still the 8 weeks along (since you obviously need room for two in there)?

Lili, thanks. Tessa is pretty crabby today. I called the doc and they said it''s fine as long as she doesn''t have a fever and is breathing ok.

Ella, your little ones are getting so big! I am sure you will be an inspiration for Jackie!

JackieJas--

I''m curious, the dr. couldn''t tell that there were two HB during the first prenatal visit?

Thanks lili and tacori!!!!!!

I am 9 weeks, 1 day. The fact that they heard a heartbeat was pretty amazing, so I''m not surprised they didn''t hear two. My guess is Baby A was bench pressing Baby B up towards the abdomen wall so we got an accidental earful.

But I feel much better about my early pooch and my constant state of wanting to eat Doritos.

We had the ultrasound and Baby A was doing some serious Tai Bo in there. Baby B, much more mellow. Heartbeats both strong in the mid 160s. So frickin weird. And awesome!

How cute.
Can they tell if it is fraternal or identical twins?
Hehe, now you can indulge twice as much
9.gif

Two separate sacs is (as far as I understand) usually indicative of fraternal unless the egg split very very early. Odds are fraternal.

I am my own hat trick now.
