Just a nother note now that cupcakes are in the oven...!!

She seems well enough to text me because I asked her how the cake was and she said cake was a bad idea and that all went to pot because of the cake...so at least her sense of humor is intact!!!! I told her to rest and that cake was NEVER to blame for anything bad (not even my love handles).

Maybe she''ll send a pic or something tomorrow. If so, I''ll be sure to post but if not she''ll check in when she gets home.

I think I''ll name my one-bowl peppermint chocolate cupcakes after Amelia Skye!

Having had 2 C sections, if you have any questions on healing, etc I am here. I know it wasn''t what you had planned. Trust me it wasn''t part of my plan either. But Amelia Skye is here, so that''s all that matters. Try and walk around as soon as you are able. The gas pain at first is painful. But the more you move the better you will feel.

Ellaila: Double BOB...yes...well. I love AND hate my stroller. What pisses me off most is the comments I get..."whoa, that's a big 'un" or "what, is that the Hummer of Strollers?" hahahah....not!. Fortunately, it has become my "jogging" stroller only and resides permanently in my garage. I walk 3 to 5 days a week (all my amenities are within a mile of my house--very foot friendly & tons of boutiques, stores, grocery, post office, library, starbucks, restaurants etc) So I just use it for all my walks (when Jake is content to ride). But he's 3 years 3 mos. and "too big" for a stroller when we are out. So I just push Delaney in the Graco Metrolite I used with Jake (her carseat pops in it) and he walks. He likes to hold on to the stroller like he's helping. He feels very manly doing this. Talks to her the whole time too. So I don't have an issue with it in restaurants. I did not like having to leave my stroller at Cheesecake...I was there with Jake last year & he was in his MacLaren (a really cool one with a sailing flag on it that I have yet to see anywhere else..it ROCKS) and that was a $165 umbrella stroller...I sure as HELL would not leave my BOB out of my sight. Its a $529 stroller & mine has the $80 car seat adaptor installed on it & a $69 rain cover in the basket, so its a lot of money in one stroller. If I had twins, i'd probably get a cheap double umbrella for those times. I think the Bob'd get stolen. you could always pop the tires off!!!!! lol

ETA: I meant to say, Jake likes the BOB stroller for our outside walks/jogs...but when shopping/restaraunting he prefers to walk.

WOW! I havent checked the board in a few days because we had house guests and there is so much going on!

i cant wait to hear the news about TGal...I have no experience with water breaking as mine was broke my midwife when i was 10cm and then Ian finally engaged!

jas- i gave birth at 40weeks 6 days...here is hoping you go into labor then as well!

Diver- I am totally in for a GTG at the grove--I was actually just there yesterday! And in case any LA girls dont know...they just opened a balenciaga boutique on melrose!!!

hoping everyone is enjoying their pregnancy and babies! as we sit on the edge of our seats for TGals birth story!

evil...evil....evil!!! great...all we need is mara & her india blue bbag & i''d be a goner. lol ...oh well...i''m saving for a new bag as a reward for when i pt jake!!!

another update, she texted me a few minutes ago, why isn't this lady resting??

i have no idea what half of the stuff she said is, so here is what she wrote...i told her i didn't understand pregnant gibberish so i would just type verbatim, HA HA!

"Just read the PG thread on blackberry but can't reply. Please say thanks to all. Csection was great. Funny and could only happen to me. Did natural labor, pictocin natural labor, pitocin epi labor, and figured I'd try Csection too. Big and unexpected thing happened during labor which changed things. I blame the cake! More on that later. Suffice it to say I got into full spirit of April Fools! Ttot (I still call her that) is a sweet baby. How the doctor thought she was going to be 9 lbs I'll never know.

Send Jas and Mrs Salvo labor vibes for me."

I think it is a combination of America and Australia which is where she and TGuy are from. I was skimming this thread last night and I think that is what I recall. But it could be sleep deprivation so I''m sure one of the others will step in if I am wrong!

TGal, you are a champion. I hope you are getting a chance to rest. Look forward to photos of your sweet baby.
