Calling all the Pregnant PS''ers

Jas12, what an adorable picture of your DH! It cracked me up. Goood thing he doesn't check this thread! Sounds like you are in early labor...hope you don't have to wait much longer! Hang in there girl! We're all sending lots of labor vibes your way!

jas, glad you're feeling better. I agree with others to call the dr if you are worried. Did you say energy??? Ohhhh I can't wait to not feel tired 24-7!

Kay, gDiapers are cute and very neat. Expensive though!

All this talk about lack of relations is cracking me up! We've only had sex a few times since getting pregnant. We didn't for the longest time after we found out because DH was scared to hurt the baby.

He finally got over that notion. I've been feeling so tired and sick. Maybe during the 2nd tri DH will get more action...

Gemma, yay for the u/s! It's really amazing seeing your little bean for the first time and seeing the heart beat. Sorry you're experiencing m/s. Mine started around week 6 or so too. My mom borrowed the 'What to Eat when You are Expecting' from the library for me to read. I haven't read it much. It's VERY VERY VERY restrictive. It stresses me out reading it. What to eat, what not to eat, what I'm not eating enough of....ahhhhhh! Just eating anything the first tri is an accomplishment and hard enough...so don't worry! Prenatal vitamins and calcium is the most important. I don't plan on reading that book much more and am returning it soon!

The relations department got much better for DH and I once I was over my m/s and started to get more energy. You''re still small enough in the belly to be comfortable and you don''t have to worry about getting preggo! Yes yes yes! I didn''t want anything to do with my husband in my first tri. All I wanted to do is sleep. Now is a different story though

My little one is so active today. Probably because it''s a bit slow at work - only one client scheduled to come in and I''m working on an estate for my boss. The baby loves to listen to The Beatles and John Mayer as I drive into work - the little one starts kicking and moving about if I sing along! I love it!

I''m super excited because I''m having a massage tomorrow afternoon and I''m so looking forward to it. My back, feet and legs are desperate! I also need to get my hair cut next week and then I''ll post a new belly pic. I look like I have a basketball underneath my shirt. DH and I went out to eat with my parents yesterday and my dad said my belly was perfect - just like how mom looked when she was preggo with me. I love my dad - he''s just so sweet to me.

First Tri mommies to be - when I was really suffering with m/s my doctor said that any food is better than no food and if you really can''t keep any solids down then try chicken broth or watered down juice. The other thing he suggested is to have a carb and protein with every meal (as few and far between as they may be) and that should help keep some of the nausea at bay and will help stabilize your blood sugar. My faves were turkey with cheese on wheat bread, cheese & crakers and PB&J. Hope you gals start feeling better soon.

Jess

Hi everyone,

I was curious when a first timer can expect to feel the LO move around? I''m really looking forward to that. During my u/s''s, the LO has been mellow, not moving much, so I''m anxious to feel stuff!

janine~I felt my little one at 20 weeks. She was (and still is) VERY wiggly....after the first time I realized it was actually her I was feeling...I felt her constantly! I still miss feeling her moving around in there.

I just went for anothe NST and i think all is still fine--the walk to the hospital was *painful* much much worse than yesterday. Ella, you and I know the joys of pelvic pressure --i can''t imagine what 2 babies would have felt like--although i could have a 10 pounder pressing down right now and that''s a lot of weight, who knows.
Came home to find DH home from work already--yay! he can take me out for another slow walk and then we are off the find curry (ppl keep telling me indian works to induce hehe) i could make it, but i am lazy, i think there is ONE place in my city that has quasi indian (we are oh so diversified here in the north!). It will be nothing close to authentic but if it''s hot and has a hint of cumin, corriander or garam marsala--sign me up!!!!

MrsF--you did have a lucky 3rd tri DH
2.gif
Hopefully they remember all the action they got so as to cut us some slack post-baby.

Janine--i posted somewhere on this thread when i first started feeling little fetal ''tap taps'' i think it was around week 17, which is pretty early but i''ve always been very sensitive to what was/is going on in my body so i might have detected it a little earlier. They also say the less belly ''padding'' (aka fat) you have the sooner you will feel kicks, but i am not sure if that is true or not.

No sign of Tgal i see...we are thinking of you ''Amelia mommy''

Okay Burk, I HATE you! You have NO idea the lengths I would go to get Tessa to sleep for at LEAST 6 hours straight let alone 7+!!!! I am so jealous. Never wake a sleeping baby. Tessa gets fussy around 6 too.

Burk, what Tacori said DON''T MESS WITH A GOOD THING!!!

Thanks Tacori and LC for the support....I feel better about what we're doing!

Tacori, oh no, didn't mean to make an enemy....
2.gif
DH was frustrated the other night when he put Tayva down after she ate at 4:30am and she woke right back up...he came into our room and was like "I wish she liked to sleep" and I was like "what?? She just slept 10 hours??? and if you go back int there and pat her butt a little she'll fall right back to sleep" I should be happy she sleeps as long as she does and not worry about when it happens. Also, I'm glad I'm not the only one that has a baby that does the fussy thing at night if she isn't in bed. Here's to hoping Tessa decides it's time to sleep longer for her mommy!!!

Wait your DH does 4 am feedings!?!??! Now I *really* hate you
3.gif
Kidding of course! She gets fussy b/c she is tired. If you keep her up for...ummmm....a candle party of all things of course she will get cranky. We all get moody when we are tired, hungry, bored...you''ve got a good thing going. Don''t mess it up!

That was a fluke...he didn''t have to go into work until late the next day and it was my first day back at work...the lack of how many times he has done a middle of the night feeding was why he had no clue how to get her back to sleep!
1.gif

Yep, I agree with LC and Tacori. I''m jealous too that you''ve got such a good sleeper! How much did you say she weighs again? G used to be a good sleeper but has turned into a horror show the past two weeks. And since they share a room, it''s affecting K''s sleep too.
32.gif
Last night she did 9 hours though, yippeee!!! I think tonight we''re going to put her in the cosleeper in our room and keep him in his crib (we''ve been bringing him into our bed) and try to let him CIO. Or, SIO -- SCREAM it out -- in his case. Here''s hoping that when we start cereal in a few days that things improve!

Jess, enjoy the massage! Look forward to seeing the new belly pics! And yay for baby kicks
36.gif

Jas, enjoy -- and good luck with -- the Indian-ish food!

The one good thing with Tessa (regarding sleeping) is she will go back to sleep easily after eating (until around 7 am when she is ready to PLAY) But I am LUCKY if I get (ONE) 5 hours stretch out of her. Last night DH gave her 7 oz with rice cereal and was convinced we would get record sleep....she did go almost 5 but I was hoping for more....I. will. never. sleep. again.

Diver, looks like there is a MOMs club less than a mile away from me. Now I just have to get the guts enough to check it out. Believe it or not I can be kinda shy at first IRL.

Tacori, where is the info on the moms club? I scanned back a couple pages, and didn''t see Diver''s info.

Oh, Ella, so sorry G has been having a rough time sleeping! That has to be hard when one wakes the other up! Tayva weighed 13lb 9 oz the other day when we had to go in to the doc (she still wasn''t feeling 100% from when she was sick a few weeks ago). She''s a big girl so I''m sure that plays a part in her being able to go for a while without waking up to feed. I bet when you start cereal that''ll help get their tummies full! I''m sending out good sleep vibes to your babes....

Here is the site.

Lisa, I forgot to say we leave a week from tomorrow!!!! So excited! Though I was really hoping to be back in my old clothes by now...oh well. I did go down another jean size (so I am only 1 size larger than when I got preggo) so that''s progress. Slow and steady wins the race, right?

That''s good that she goes right back to sleep....so she''s probably just getting up to fill her belly. You will sleep again!

Damn, the MOMs club is for at-home mommies only!!!

Oh wow, this thread is really hopping.
One day and it''s already 5 pages deep.
I just can''t keep up with you ladies.
So I apologize if I miss someone.

For some reason, I wasn''t able to navigate over to the forum.
I thought that it may be a server problem, but apparently you guys were able to get on and were busy posting away.

First of all, love that picture of DH. It''s priceless. Too cute.
5.gif

Anyway, we can still be friends because I''m still here waiting just like you and MrsS (although I have to say that MrsS hasn''t logged on today yet...hmmmm)
Had my 39 wk check up today and also did a cervix exam. Boy was that so NOT fun. I''m still bleeding right now (sorry if TMI).
The news is that my cervix is long but soft and he said there''s a one cm dilation.
I admit that I was a bit disappointed with that, especially when I found out yesterday that my cousin''s wife (who has the same EDD as me) delivered her 7.5 lb baby girl yesterday. Lucky girl!! So I know how you feel when TGal went into labor.
Sorry about your pelvic pain, but that''s a good thing no? Said that your bambino is moving down and labor is progressing. Are you getting more of the BH?
I''ve been getting them more often then usual, but no back or pelvic pressure yet.
I hope the second round of NST and the Indian food tonight do the trick for you this weekend. The NST, is that the membrane sweep to help with the effacement and dilation? My doctor told me that he''s not going to do that for me since I''m GBS positive because the one time that he did it for a patient with GBS, she came down with a high fever the following day. So basically, I''m to just sit here and wait for the baby to do her thing....and it''ll be 3 weeks before he''ll talk about inducing
23.gif

MrsS, are you still around??
5.gif

Jen, I think it perfectly okay to keep the gender of the babies a secret from your family and friend.
We were going to keep it a secret from our family and friends too, but DH is not one to keep a secret.
He''ll say it if someone asks....so we just told everyone. It is fun to make that big announcement with the sex of the baby on the day of delivery though.
With our second, we''ll probably leave it as a surprise for ourselves too. DH really wanted a girl, so he wants to find out what this one is.

Burk
You and Diver are so blessed with babies who love to sleep :)

Lili--
glad you checked in, i was starting to wonder. You are right, no MrsS. today--hmmmm maybe!!
4.gif

No, i haven''t had a membrane sweep. The NST is just involves being hooked up to a fetal monitor for around a 1/2 hour to make sure the baby''s HR changes when he''/she moves around and that the HR is good and strong etc.
I think it''s great news that you are dialted ! Any time now for you, that is exciting. You may not ever get the pelvic pressure and consider yourself lucky if that is the case. It makes walking, putting on pants, stepping up stairs etc. very painful.
I don''t know if what i have been feeling each night are BH contractions--i think more like false labor--they were painful and irregual contrations that sadly went away--a cruel trick of nature IMO.
14.gif

Off to have dinner....

I know MrsS had her doctors appointment today, but haven''t heard from her yet. I am guessing she''s in labor right now!!! Best of luck MrsS!!!!

Tacori, your post crack me up. I feel the same way...I feel like I will never sleep again. I''m lucky if I get like a 3~4 hour sleep. baby B. don''t like to sleep especially at day time. he usually start napping in the afternoon and stay awake most morning. which really puzzle me, he is only 2 months, shouldn''t he be sleeping like crazy?

Mrs S whereare youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu?
