Tgal -- just know that there are lots of us lurkers, as well as the regulars, out here rooting for you. Prayers with you, TGuy, and Amelia -- keep your spirits up! We love ya!!!! and it is so good to hear from you!!! I am still so glad to hear your sense of humor is intact ... I have the feeling it will definitely help out in the next challenging months. We cannot wait to see your precious Amelia.

Take care,
PSers

ETA: Please do take any offers of help. They are from those who love and wish all the best for you. Take care of yourself!!!

PS. I feel a bit silly because I am getting all teary thinking about the T-family -- but PS is a bit of a family and even it if I don't "know" you, I feel close. Wishing you all the best ...

Tgal--oh my goodness, i want to jump thru the screen and hug you, amelia and tguy.....what an ordeal.
--i was lying in bed, wide awake again and decided to just surrender to sleeplessness and wondered if you were around and posted--lo and behold you are still up....
I knew you must of had something out of the ordinary happen--besides choco cake-lol--my guess was more benign, like Amelia went breach or somehting ''april foolsish'' during labor, but NEVER would i guess something so serious, esp since, like you said, you were so healthy and there were absolutely no indicators.
THANK GOODNESS your water broke early and you made it through okay. How utterly terrifying. The fact that you have any sense of humor right now is a testment to how strong you are! I know you must be feeling so overwhelmed, esp since you are dealing with double recoveries--make sure you use everyone around you for support. Do you have family with you now?

I''ll be thinking of you, take really good care of yourself. It will get better day by day.

TGal: oh my god..im so sorry to hear about ur ordeal (or the parts u wrote about at least) and im so glad, and thank God, both you and the baby are okay...thank u so much for taking the time and coming on here to update us..big hugs to you..

I am praying for you, Tguy and Amelia..

MrsS: Yay for getting a date!!!

Jas12: Hang in there sweetie!! ur day will come soon too!!

Jas: Yay for hearing two hearbeats!!

Q: Hope you had a good time tonite at the lounge..

Burk: wat a great girl u have!! to sleep thru a volleyball game!! (can i join the club by saying im jealous as well?!) my son will wake up if i open the door!! hes such a lite sleeper it isn''t funny..

Bobo: 3 to 4 hours stretches at 2 months is great :) hopefully u''ll get longer stretches soon..

Okay, so I''m a total lurker, but I wanted to come in and let Tgal (and Amelia and TGuy!) that I''ve really been thinking about you guys for the past couple of days. You are all in my thoughts, and seriously, if you need anything at all from a fellow Angeleno, I am more than willing to help out. Totally serious. I know it''s an odd offer, but it''s there nonetheless. I promise I''m only relatively odd.

And now... back into lurkerdom... (best wishes for the preggos and mommies!)

TGal: I have been thinking of you (we all have obviously!)!! Congrats on getting through what sounds like a pretty intense birthing situation. Our thoughts are with little amelia. I dont know how much weight she has lost but I went to bright beginnings and beyond in the riviera (right by goodstuff)...Classes are taught by either Hillary or Patty. Both are lactation consultants as well as Neonatal Intensive Care unit nurses at Little Co of Mary Hospital. It''s $10 and they should be able to help you out!! Just a suggestion. I had such a hard time as well...they were both great and they weigh feed weigh, they have formula and encouraged me to use an SNS until my milk came in (it never fully did)...

your sense of humor with everything is something that is going to make you an amazing mother! congrats to your new family!!

Just wanted to pop in to add my prayers for little Amelia Skye--considering who she has as a mom, I''m sure she''s more than strong enough to pull through this! I''m so glad you are both safe and out of the hospital--PS is indeed like a family and I know that everyone here has been thinking about you for the last few days.

Tgal, I am glad you are fine now and I am sure Amelia (love her name btw) will be slurping the food down shortly! I am glad you were able to keep your humor about it all, and soon it will seem a distant memory.

Toxemia is very dangerous. I had it with my first and went into pre term labor, he was due 12/25, my water broke 11/12 and I was in the MICU on various meds etc and finally was induced with him 11/17 because my fluid levels were getting low and it was time. I really did not have symptoms either except I was so fluidy and had pitting edema.

I know terrible stories during labor with toxemia. I do not wish to scare anyone, but let it be a good cue to all you gals that you should know the symptoms and be super proactive if you even think you are suffering from it. I know Tgal had not experienced symptoms of it other than HPB during labor, but luckily she was at the hospital and was able to be cared for. Please just be alert and do not worry about bothering the doctor if you are concerned.

LIA, (which is a great name you might want to consider, Lia Grace is pretty...already throwing names out to you)...anyway, I digress...welcome, and hope your pregnancy goes smoothly. This is a great spot to come to. I have two of my three born in November! Feel well...

Tgal sending much positive vibes to your lovely Amelia to wake up and eat!!. Seriously though if your are worried don''t hesitate to have her checked out at the hospital. Take care to you all and thanks for the update.

Oh god TGal-thank god you and Amelia are ok. Sending best wishes to you and Ttot. I''m sure she''ll be feeding perfectly soon.

Just a little lurker here, but wanted to say congrats to Tgal on the arrival of Amelia - I think her name is absolutely gorgeous.

Sending lots of healthy vibes her way, I hope she will be guzzling down milk really soon.

I am so glad you checked in TG!!!!!

I am so sorry to hear about what happenned....Thank goodness you and Amelia are ok and were able to leave the hospital together!!!!

Toxemia is a very scary disease. The scariest part is that it varies in the way it presents itself, so sometimes it is not picked right away, especially in women like you who never had any symptoms. Thank goodness your water broke when it did....The body works in mysterious ways, doesnt it?

Best of luck.... we will be thinking about you!!!

tgal- so glad you are ok and checked in. i''ll keep you and amelia in my prayers that the both of you will recover quickly. i''m glad you''re home too. i can just imagine the hospital staff loving your sense of humor despite the very intense circumstance. i never would have guess toxemia as to why things went awry but am so glad things went the way they did and you got to the hospital etc....

jas12- thinking of you too...hang in there..(p.s. i posted a couple pages of got but i''m sure it got lost, what version of iphoto do you have?

Hi all...

Yes, I guess Toxemia is scary...I am so glad I didn''t know the details of it though, or I may have panicked. For once, I researched all the wrong things. Hahaha.

It''s been a long night but Amelia has eaten well...I''ve skipped the BFing tonight as nothing is coming out and it is just torturing her. But she has been eating well through the SNS (I think I mistakenly called it a SCS earlier...thanks MsF for writing it correctly, I was confused!)

And...

I got 3 pees and 2 poos! I was skimming preggo/baby posts at the hospital this week and who knew I''d have my own escatic pee/poo moment! I keep singing these words to the lyrics of Broadway''s "People": Peepoo....Babies who go peepooooo, are the luckiest babies in the world...."

I starting writing the rough of my birth story so I will post that in a day or two...

Jas, today is your day. Go eat some taco bell with hot sauce. It did it for me. I''ll be thinking of you today. MrsS, I know you have your date, but it couldn''t hurt if you went a bit early eh? I''ll send my NON TOXEMIA baby vibes to you all.

Dani, just a special note of thanks to you for all your help the day I went into labor.

And to the rest, more hugs. I am too tired to respond personally to all the posts...the well wishes as well as all the other PS goings on, but I will post more as the day goes on and hopefully tomorrow. I got a THREE hour nap tonight because TGuy was on shift. Ahhh...feel like a million bucks.

Fingers crossed that at the 9 am doc''s appointment our little TTot didn''t lose anymore weight...

T-Gal, so glad you and the T-Family are at home and recoverning. Check in when you can, but most of all REST! Big hugs outgoing to you, T-Guy, but most of all T-Tot!

Ditto. Don''t worry about us, rest up, take care of yourself and enjoy these first precious days with Ttot!

TGal, I''m with everyone else on sending healthy vibes to Amelia and you. I have to admit that I don''t really know much about toxemia but I do know that it is scary. I''m so sorry you had to go through that. I hope you''re able to get some much needed rest.

I think it''s great that such a community exists here. I know we don''t know each other and a lot of us lurk for the time being, but it feels like we all know each other (especially the more active posters in this thread, I''m sure). I''m glad that everyone feels comfortable sharing her stories. It somehow makes this whole world wide web not feel so big, you know?

TGal,

Sending lots of good vibes your, TGuy, and Amelia''s way.

TGal, I''ve been worried about you. Toxemia??? Holy crap. I''m so glad you are ok and that Amelia is finally peeing and pooping. Keep up that sense of humor, if you can. It will get you through your tough days. But I''m so happy that you are ok and that your little princess is getting better. Try to rest but keep us posted when you get a chance. We miss you. And of course, we need photos!!! Sending lots of good thoughts your way. Give that little girl a big kiss from me and Lily.

Tgal thanks for checking in -- sending you and the Tfamily lots of love and strength. Hang in there!

TGal, thank you for checking in! I''m so glad both you and Amelia are okay after such a scary evening. Rest up and be sure to share some pictures when you can!

Tgal congrats to you & your husband & welcome baby Amelia!

You went through a lot so rest as much as you can & stay hydrated, eat nourishing meals, & pump that will help your milk come in. Lots of babies loose weight in the beginning try not to worry. Amelia is having bowel movements now so that is great!

Take care

Tgal - Thanks for the update. For Mara''s text, I knew you went through a lot, but never thought toxemia since your pregnancy had been so wonderful. I am glad that you and Amelia are ok. Sound like Amelia is doing well with eating and pooping, so hopefully she is gaining weight. I''ll be thinking of you. Rest up and can''t wait to read your full birth story. It''ll be inspirational and informative.

Yay for pee & poop!!!!

TGal, so sorry you had such a scary experience -- Amelia''s got quite the birth story, doesn''t she? Best of luck at the appt today, I''m sure the little TBabe is doing great! You know we''re all dying to see her, but we also understand that you may be just a little exhausted and busy right now so we will try to be patient ...

As for nursing ... not quite as easy and straightforward as it should be, is it? Sending along some *milk dust* for things to get moving for you! Pumping is a drag (believe me, I know - I was supposted to do it 8-10x a day in the beginning!), but it''s a necessary evil sometimes. It''s the strangest thing in the world at first (nothing can prepare you for that first intimate moment between you and the pump) but it gets better in time, so stick with it, MAMA!

Q, best wishes for your cousin''s twins. I''ve read a lot of stories about preterm babies who are born really teeny that wind up thriving and doing great! Have faith ...

OK, the race is on -- who''s next? Jas, MrsS, or Lili?? I vote for Jas on Monday!

Tgal -- I''m so glad to hear that Amelia had some pees and poos and you''re home together now! I will never get that version of "people" out of my head now, btw ;) Keep taking care of yourselves -- we''re all grateful that you made it through such a scary ordeal!-- and we''ll all look forward to you being back here when you''re ready...

Thank you for all the good wishes for my cousin & her twins. My SIL, who is close to the cousin, told me that our cousin had contractions and give birth naturally to the twins. They were a little over 1 lbs when they were born. We are hoping for the best.

TGal,
Thanks for the update!! Yay for the P''s!! Hoping her appointment goes well!!!
