Calling all the Pregnant PS''ers

NF I was so bloated I was in maternity pants EARLY. Like around 8 weeks even though I had LOST weight.

Curly, she loves it. I would suggest getting one for the new baby but they are rather large. I also LOVE Old Navy''s kids clothes. So cute!

Here she is having fun.

OMG Tacori!! I just saw the new avatar...SOOOO CUTE!!! She looks like a blondie in that pic?!?!

Kaleigh, Burk, and Tacori: THANK YOU! I kept reading that you should only gain a few pounds the first trimester of pregnancy and I was thinking that I had already gained my whole trimester''s worth of weight in water these first few weeks!

I''m relatively small, so that probably affects it too I''m sure...good to know it is normal!!!

And Tacori, that picture is ADORABLE!

Oh and the exersaucer pic....I love it!! I may be sharing an exersauce pic soon...I think Tayva needs one!

OMG, that''s the cutest pic Tacori!!! I love Tessa''s smile. Love the blonde hair too.

Thanks Burk and NF! She loves it. There is so much stimulation for her and like Curly mentioned a good workout for her legs (helps her practice standing). I wish I bought it a month ago. We got video of her in it and it is too funny. She just reaches everywhere, hits the buttons, plays, turns herself around. Busy baby!

Burk you will have to post a pic of Tayva if you get her one. I think I would try it even though she is a little young. Her hair is getting lighter. It looks REALLY light compared to my very dark brown hair. I would say it is a light brown/dark blonde as of now (eyes still bluish) I would be surprised if she wasn't a blondie b/c both DH and I were as toddlers (DH was a toe head).

NF I left my first tri -3 lbs but I had a belly for sure. Trust me it is WAY to early to stress out about it!

ETA: Lisa, she has her famous crooked smile. It is darling. She crinkles her nose up too (put it's hard to see in photos).

Thanks pavelover!

curlygirl, little B is getting better. Still some diaherra but not as frequent as before.
Tacori, love Tessa''s new picture! she looks so happy!

ok mommies, new question/concern. little B puke twice yesterday, in the middle of feeding while trying to burp him. It was scary to watch, that is a lot of milk coming out of one little person...he got it all over him, on his face in his nose and all over me. I''m wondering if this is a reflux problem.

Thanks Bobo. Not sure if you remember but T has ALWAYS spit up (she does at EVERY feeding). Unless B is losing weight don''t worry. Also make sure to burp in between and it helps to keep the baby in a semi upright position.

Tacori~ I swear our two "T's" have so much in common...Tayva has blond hair growing in as well. DH and I were both VERY blond as babies but I have dark brown hair now and he has light brown so I'm guessing she'll be blond for a while as well. Do you and your DH both have blue eyes?

Bobo~The vomiting (as in projectile, goes far, lots of vomit)could be a sign of reflux. Might not be either. Could just be spit-up....normal for babies to spit up. Tayva has reflux but it is silent so she doesn't do the vomiting. I would call your ped....or another ped since you're not too sure about yours if it persists.

Thanks Tacori, I''m no so worried about gaining weight, as it is all a part of the process, but just wanted to make sure that it wasn''t an ominous sign of something! Of course when I googled it the first thing that came up was two women who both had major bloat and then miscarried going on about how their bloating was a major sign for them. Just wanted to ease my mind a bit that it was normal for people who carried to term too!

We always burp 2~3 times per feeding and feed him in a semi upright position. After the feeding we keep him upright for at least 30 minutes. I just thought spit up = little milk, not that much milk...

yeah, I found a new pedi but won''t be able to see him until june because I had to change little B. medical group. maybe I''ll just pay the full amount to go in and see the new pedi, wonder how much it will cost to see a pedi w/o insurance..

Bobo, I should of mentioned we put T on medication b/c of the massive amount of spit but she is a happy spitter so we took her off with our doc''s advice. You need to find a new pedi ASAP!

Burk, my DH has blue, I have dark brown eyes. Who knows! My brother has blue, my sister hazel so really anything goes. Back to the exersaucer...I really like our evenflo.

NF, to quote my doc, stop reading the internet

(except US of course!) There is scary stuff out there and most often than not NOTHING goes wrong with the baby. Just remember (though I know it is hard not to worry).

Yeah, the internet is BAD NEWS! (except for PS of course). I really do need to stay away...

Is little B upset he vomits? If not I really wouldn''t worry. The milk is mixed with all sorts of stuff so what you are seeing is probably very little milk.

Bobo~Ditto what Tacori asked..is Little B happy still? Does he show any other signs of reflux? I think wait it out a couple days and see if he continues this pattern.

Tacori~My DH and I both have blue eyes so Tayva really has no chance of anything other than blue. Hers are a much darker shade of blue than ours. I got on BRU to check out the evenflow exersaucer...I don't think I was prepared for the price!

Kids are expensive

Thanks Tacori & Burk, when little B puke he''ll cry and look confused like what is going on look on his face. But after the puking he''ll start smiling at me when I talk and try to comfort him.

Burk, I know it is pricey (and the one I bought is one of the highest) but trust me it is WORTH every penny! We have only had it together for *maybe* a week and she has already logged in hours and hours. She doesn''t really enjoy her playmat anymore (that think was expensive too) since she rolls over right away so this is her new favorite. They do have cheaper models. My parents bought her the baby einstein one which she seemed to like but it has less toys. She doesn''t get as bored as fast with ours.

Bobo, is the cry like he is scared or in pain?

BTW Julian called...PP should be on my finger May 30th!!!!

Aww, Tacori Tessa is so pretty and is growing up and now she looks like a miniature kid instead of a baby! When did that happen???

Her hair looks to be lighter than in past pictures; is that just the lighting or is it getting some blonde highlights these days?

I have green eyes and Paul has blue and we''re not even pregnant and all we seem to hear is how everyone hopes the baby gets Paul''s eyes. Crazy how blue is the end all and be all for some people, huh?

I just love to see that Tessa smile. Can''t look at a new picture of her and not smile myself.

I know fisher! Aren't dark eyes mysterious and sexy? I love green eyes too. They are unique. It kind of gets annoying after awhile. I'll love her no matter what color they turn out to be
3.gif
I totally get what you are saying about her looking more kid like and less baby like. I think that happened during the last few months. Her hair is getting lighter (it was my color at birth). I had curls when I was younger but so fair her hair is straight....it is exciting to watch all the changes. She is sleeping on the sofa next to me snoring. So funny! Congrats on the house BTW!

ETA: I bought DH Apple TV for his b-day and you can watch YouTube on your TV. We looked up baby giggles....OMG! Too cute. It is impossible NOT to laugh when you hear a baby laugh.

Tacori, I think it''s both. plus on some feedings when he didn''t puke....he''ll take a break from eating and after we let him rest a while and try to feed him the rest he will start crying when the nipple touch his lips.

Maybe it is reflux then. I wish you could see your new pedi sooner....I would guess it would be around $200 to pay out of pocket for a doc''s visit. You could always call and ask.

Bobo~I think you should try and get in to see your new ped. Or at least call and see what it would cost. If he doesn't want to finish feedings that could be a reflux sign. Tayva did the same thing and now she's on meds it's MUCH better!!

tacori~I think it'll be more than worth it too...I just find it so crazy that kids toys can be so pricey.

Oh goodness, I hope Paul doesn''t meander to this thread! That''d be another reason to put off baby time! (He''s slow with changes, but I have a feeling, based on the way he''s been interacting and playing with friends'' kids and helping out in the nursery at church, that times are a changing in his mind. YAY!!! I''m hoping that by late summer, we''ll be in full force baby making mode!!)

It amazes me the deals you can find on furniture for kids at yard sales, especially in the "nice" subdivisions around here. I''ve made Paul promise we''ll make a few trips on a Saturday when we''re pregnant. Such deals to be had! (And then, it gives me more reason to paint!!)

Oh, I have been meaning to ask you with more wisdom than I have, is it okay to paint furniture, rooms, that sort of thing while pregnant?

Pave, congrats and welcome!

LitChick, no worries, I will not sell my precious convertible. I just don’t want to let DH drive it either.

MrsS, Jake is looking so cute.

Jas, sorry your in-laws are so insensitive. Don’t you just wish you could muzzle them sometimes?

Snlee, at your age I probably wouldn’t do amnio either. I have mine on Friday and am not looking forward to it.

Jas 12, I can’t believe you only have 10 pounds to go. Good for you! Sorry you are having to deal with construction. Co is so cute when he is sleeping -- we need more pics.

Tgal, congrats on the increased milk production.

MsF, your little man is getting so big and so cute.

Tacori, that exersaucer looks awesome – I’m putting that on my list. Tessa looks so happy playing in hers.

Curly, I can’t believe Lily is almost 1. Sorry to hear about her spill. That’s exciting your hubby got to feel the baby move.

I have seen several people mention foot growth during pregnancy. Are you talking length or width? I am a 10N, so I would not mind going up a width to medium so I can buy normal shoes, but I would have a cow if they got any longer.
We went to our friends’ daughters’ 1st B-day party on Saturday. She had so much fun wandering around with her new toys. Our other friends brought their 7 week old daughter to the party. The mom asked me if I wanted to hold her. I said sure, but I was pretty nervous because I have not held a newborn in many years. DH said later I looked like a natural. Of course, my bbs have grown so much I look like I’m ready to start nursing a baby already. I have to start lifting weights again soon, because that 10 pound baby became heavy pretty quickly.

Lili, can you believe it?!? I am sure this thread racked up a lot of those posts.

Her hair is getting lighter. Only time will tell how light it will get.

Fisher, you are not suppose to paint while preggo. There are lots of things you are not suppose to do. But you can use that new green paint (no odor).
