Monnie--
The pix of your niece are so funny.
Your bro has a sense of humor.
Was it you who posted a pix of a baby sandwich (hamburger) a while back?
Yes it was me who posted the hamburger baby pic. My brother is a SAHD starting this Monday...my mom is of course on call! My brother just has an insane sense of humor which I find hilarious, although some do not. I figure either this baby will be the most normal person in our family when she grows up, or she will give my bro a run for his money, and be completely crazy...anyway it is fun to see pics. I know he is a very loving dad, he was a very loving older brother to me (he''s 4 yrs. older than me and my only sibling). He built me treehouses when I was little, and took pride in helping my mom and dad with me, and pulled me around in our little red wagon, etc. I grew up with him comforting me every time I was upset and our parents couldn''t console me, we are very close, so I know this little baby will be sooo loved and so well taken care of, despite the silliness!!!

Jas, that is such a beautiful picture of the two of you. Really precious. Thanks for sharing.

Jen

Congrats Tacori!!
36.gif
I don''t check SMTR all that often anymore, so please give a heads up here when you''ve got your two new pressies, OK?

Jas, that photo of you and Co is so sweet!!

Congrats to all the mommies-to-be on all the good u/s lately - the pregnancy lows can get pretty low (3rd tri aches and pains), but the highs are SO high, aren''t they?
21.gif
There''s nothing in the world like seeing your baby/ies for the first time on an u/s. I mean, obviously meeting your little ones is incredible, but that first moment when you realize "Oh my God, I actually have a person/people growing inside of me!!!" is just so surreal and crazy-good!

Jackie and Jen, how are my fellow twins mommies doing? Jackie, your in-law stories crack me up! I swear you should write a book ...

So any new belly pics?? Or baby pics?? Oh, speaking of baby pics, the Tessa food shots are awesome. That really is one happy little girly! I need more Amelia, Jake, Jadelyn, and Cohen pics please!!! (And of course Lily, Tessa, HH, Skippy''s nephew, Daners and Jake, etc. are always good too!)

G&K are swingin'' away right now, taking nap #1 of the day! They''ve been doing great with sleeping at night -- anywhere from 8-11 hours for the most part
36.gif
Burk, we just started G on the prevacid two days ago, so we''ll see if there''s any improvement on that front. We also just tried a new rice cereal called Happy Bellies (BRU has it), which is supposed to be good for sensitive tummies. As for drinking cereal in the bottle, we actually use the sippy cup top on G''s bottle (BornFree bottles can use the BornFree sippy cup lids too), and he took to it right away. I''m not sure all babies would be able to do that, but it works for him! You said Tayva''s got an appt. coming up next week, right? Good luck! I wonder if they''ll want to do an upper GI on her? My pedi''s office *ROCKS* by the way. They''re appealing my insurance''s decision to not cover G and K''s formulas (ummmm, G is being seen by a gastroenterologist, so how can insurance possibly deny formula that is clearly medicinal for him?!), and they gave me a TON of samples yesterday: 8 more cans of Neocate (that''s like $400!), 8 of Neosure, and 2 of something called Elecate for Gabe. Happy happy happy!

Diver, I must be a former bottle-fed baby too (LOL!), but with the Bob, there''s no way to keep the sun shades all the way down and attach that piece that rolls up (for ventilation in the back) to the shades, right? I mean, I know there''s velcro on them both, but the only way they attach is if the shade is pulled back some.
33.gif
Uhhhh.

LIA, congrats on the new house!! You''ve got a lot of great stuff going on right now - how fun!

MrsM, how are you doing??

Qtiekiki, I just checked the ''preggos in waiting" list to see your EDD because I feel like you''ve been pregnant forever, woman! You must''ve joined this thread really early on in your pregnancy?

OK, I know I missed a lot of stuff, but since I''m jumping on the "I read everything but can''t possibly reply to it all" bandwagon, I don''t feel too guilty about it.
10.gif
(OK, I do feel a little guilty that I can''t keep up with all the new preggos.)

OH, Tacori, forgot to say WOW on Tessa''s weight gain!! Guess the higher cal formula helped, huh? Two weeks ago, K weighed close to 13 lbs. -- they''ve got their SIX-MONTH appt. in a few weeks, and I''m curious to see what they''re up to then! I think G is prob 16 lbs. now. He''s a chunk for sure! He''s not fat though, just solid.

A photo of my monkeys! Gabe loves to chill out on the changing part of the P&P, with his arm dangling over (as soon as you put him down on his back, he rolls over like that), and K is just smilin'' away as usual!

chillin_smilin.JPG

Over three pages in two days! Wow!

I''m going to have to do a few scattered replies as I''m trying to put the house back together.

Exciting moment yesterday -- a stranger commented on the pregnancy (very polite, which is more than I can say for my in-laws!
20.gif
) Very cool. DH does not understand why this is so exciting...he''s all, "Uh, duh, yeah you look pregnant." Then again, he also thinks I''m goingI adore his clueless self, especially because he bought me everything I wanted at Costco. Except Cakesters, but that''s because I refrained.

I cannot believe how TIRED I am. I nap/rest every day for about 2-3 hours in the afternoon. It''s not like I''m working or doing anything strenuous. I''m not even thinking that much because I have major pregnancy brain.

I''m starting to worry about L&D -- not to the point where I''m "Putting it out there" if you know what I mean, but I do have to stop myself from thinking about epis and barfing, etc.

DH has lots of trips (biz and pleasure) in June and July...thankfully my folks are here so I can stay with them. I asked Mom to come to the doctor on Monday with me (time to start my 2 week appts!) so that she knows where the hospital is. But, again, delivering in June/July would be seriously preemie and That. Is. Not. Going. To. Happen.

Ok, time to sneak in a couple more responses before cleanfest.

TGal - I read your questions/the discussion on baby "training/conditioning" (which, again, as you noted, is not quite the right word)...it''s fascinating to be reading The Baby Whisperer at this time. It addresses (sort of) this topic...babies can communicate certain expectations pretty early on...two or three months, it seems. Obviously, those expectations are based on past experiences. Babies certainly work their little worlds to get them to a comfort zone.

I''m babbling but I don''t remember if you''ve read the book. Jas12 recommended it to me, and it''s a great read. Lots of good ideas (again, people''s mileage may vary and not everything in the book is going to work for everyone, but it spoke to me).

Ephemery -- I forgot to tell you how much I love the name Lyla Joy! It''s gorgeous!

We''ve had to give up Harrison (don''t ask...DH has irrational baby naming concerns), so now we''re with Jackson and Logan, which I love love love.

So many girls coming! My boys will have lots of gal pals (in my head, where we all do indeed get together for playtimes.) LOL Tacori at them "having their pick" -- and it sounds like a full night''s sleep is juuuust around the corner for you. Do you ever look back at this BF mountain you''ve climbed and just pat yourself on the back????

Ok, I''m going to poke around the rest of PS for a little while...just to broaden my horizons
21.gif

Thanks Tacori- yeah somehow I was hoping to see the tadpole looking baby but I guess that''s not possible yet? We saw the flashing light but we didn''t hear anything- I''m not sure if her machine isn''t the same as the one you had or what- I guess she would have let us hear it we could have? I can''t wait until the 8 wk u/s to see how things have changed.

Hi! I''m back. Miss me?

Ephem -- I vote for putting up a belly shot -- if I can do it, you can! Again, congrats.
QT -- I think today is the day for your three hour GD test. Hang in there! Great that your hubby wants to take the prenatal classes!
Snlee -- For some reason, I also think you''re having a girl, but I need some buds here in Team Blue, so feel free to come on over!
Tacori -- that squash picture is hysterical (and so cute!) DH has the good eyelashes in the family, but I have the good mascara (not that DH wears any, of course. He ain''t Pete Wentz.)
Jas12 -- good to see you, and again, thanks for the Baby Whisperer recommendation!
LIA -- sounds like things are on the right track -- so good to hear from you! Congrats on the new house. Wow -- three major life changes coming up for you!
NF -- hope you are feeling better.
Hi Burk!

All right...let''s see if I''m up for more...

Must...post...

Jas12 -- I hope you are feeling better...your body has been through a lot, so it seems like the cold, while really badly timed, is your body telling you to sleep...then of course, you can''t. Argh. So sorry. And if you are Debbie Downer, I''m Santa Claus. Your picture is just precious and magazine worthy!
Burk -- so sorry about the reflux. I''ll send good thoughts your way.
Curly -- hey! How are you feeling these days? Oh my goodness -- she''s walking already! I can''t believe how time flies!
Tacori -- hooray on a few nights of sleeping through!
Pave -- congrats on a positive U/S experience. You must be reallly excited for the next appt!
Ella -- I''m doing ok, thanks for asking. Just feeling really ROUND and starting to get uncomfortable. I apparently look like a 7 mo. preggo (w/ a singleton). But otherwise fine...it''s starting to hit me that this will all actually result in two babies coming along! That picture is just all kinds of awesome! It does make me long for a boy/girl combo, but I just need to get over that!

Ok folks, just in case any of you are feeling ugly-to-ooohglay today...I have officially put DH on probation as my photographer due to the fact that he manages to catch me at weird angles and with stupid expressions on my face.

31.gif
Of course it has nothing to do with the fact that I smile goofy for cameras and that the shadows under my eyes scare small children.

Here''s the tummy at 22 weeks (although the U/S says it''s 23)

week 22c.JPG

OMG -- so sorry about that. The picture size scares me. But you can really see the blood flow in my tummy!

Here''s another one, hopefully not as ridiculous...

This one goes out to all people who wonder what a pregnant behind and thighs look like...
9.gif

week 22a.JPG

Ella, I''m doing fine thanks! Thank you for sharing the very cute pics, too! Adorable. Just so adorable!

I''ve had two happy days of false labour - contractions that don''t build up or form any pattern. Pretty much like Braxton Hicks, but for two days. It''s getting old now, but midwife tells me it isn''t uncommon. I''m going for a scan on Monday, to make sure the baby is in the correct position and all is still well for a low risk midwife clinic delivery. My due date is Tuesday, so fingers crossed!

Jas - call those big thighs, hey? I could beat these hands down.
9.gif
All my weight gain seems to be on my thighs. Looovely!

Jen

Miss Jackie, you look gorgeous! You aren't huge at all - you look perfectly pregnant! It's funny how preggos often look more bellylicious in clothes than in just a naked belly pic, isn't it?

You've got great coloring, a beautiful face, pretty hair, and an adorable baby bump -- what's not to feel good about? Oh and two big thumbs up on Jackson and Logan -- love 'em both! Good strong boy names.

Oh Jen, getting down to the final stretch!!
36.gif
I always play that "This is my last Saturday of ____" thing when something big happens. So this is (hopefully) your last Saturday before you become a Mommy!

Oh, I've got a *screamer* on my hands right now ...
32.gif
gotta run ...

jackie -- yay for posting another belly shot!! you really DO look great -- i wished you believed it more (don''t let your in-laws'' chatter bounce around in the brain too much!!!! haha) I agree with ella -- write a book about them! :)

Tacori -- congrats!! can''t wait to see your PS gift :)

Ella --- I LOVE the babies latest pic -- that is such a cute angle you caught them at :) I still can''t even imagine what it must be like to have 2 babies at the same age at the same time -- i remember how much work one at a time was!!!

Pave -- glad to hear you had a great appt and u/s!

Ephemery -- I''d love to see a belly shot!

Jas -- I just adore that pic of you and Co -- you look so peaceful together :)

As I''m sitting here typing, both babies have decided to wake up and start moving around... I swear the one up close to my belly button actually *tickles* when it moves, but I''m loveing feeling them more often. Their movements are more regular but still swimmy/fluttery with a few little tiny bumps thrown in. I think it''ll be a real circus when they get bigger, especially if this top one stays where s/he''s at :) Ok, I have to recover from 2 long days at the rink (competition and test session) b/c I''m beat -- bbl!

jen

Awee Ella, your monkeys are sooo cute..
They sure look happy and playful.
How they've grown too.
Loving those beautiful blues

Hehe, thought I post one pix of the little monster in her true color.

You and jackie are so lucky to experience twice the tickling fun

How have you been these last couple of days.
So have you decided if you are going to keep the genders of the babes between hubby and yourself?

MrsM--
You are sooo close.
Fingers crossed that the little bean is in position.
Can't wait to find out what you are carrying.
Remember to come back on PS as soon as you have the energy to post
3.gif

Oh, it's water retention in the thighs, so don't worry too much about them being big.
Well, at least until before you deliver.
It's weird, my thighs slim down to pre-preggo after delivery.
But then it got a little bigger when my milk came in.
Must be all those chocolate brownies and ice cream that I've been eating, plus the fact that I'm constantly on my butt feeding the little monster.

Congrats to Tacori and Skippy for the 10000 posts.
Remember to give us ladies here on the preggo thread the heads up when you ladies get your PS pressy.

Jas12--
Would love to see your first mommy''s pressy.

Is Co better today with the naps?

Lili -- somebody''s "little monster" wasn''t a happy camper were they? :) Funny how I still see "adorable" in that pic! I think i have new-baby-amnesia ;)

re: genders, i haven''t gotten him (dh)to agree to keep it quiet (yet) -- and he comes to all of the appts, so if i find out, he''ll find out! I need to get him to make a firm decision one way or another by thursday b/c i''m hoping to find out then (!!) Other than that seeming to take over my life lately --- oh and not agreeing on baby names! -- i''m actually doing and feeling great
1.gif
After my horrible first trimester, i feel like i earned it

I went to take the 3hrs test today at 9am. Oh boy, the drink made me feel like I was having a hangover. Really dehydrated, slight headache and nauseous. I said that to the phlebotomist, and she was cracking up.

After that, I went to DH''s godson''s 8yo b-day party. It was so hot. I am beat. So I am relaxing with PS now. Then we have a b-day party for DH''s cousin''s 1yo son at 6pm.

Ok I think we will install the carseat around 37 weeks, so we have time to take it for inspection.

I thought they say you get a burst of energy in 3rd tri. Or what is 2nd tri? Well the burst of energy must''ve missed me because I always tired and sleepy. I always fall asleep when I sit on our bed to watch tv.

Tacori & Tgal - Yay for long sleep.

Curly - Lily sounds so cute. Toddlers are really fun.

pavelover - Congrats on the 1st u/s! Beat you can''t wait til your 1st appt. You''ll see the embryo then.

ella - I love K''s smile. They are so adorable. Yeah I guess I joined when I was around 8 weeks. We found out I was pregnant at 5 weeks, and had our 1st appt at 8 weeks. I announced my pregnancy on this thread after the appt.

jas - Glad you are back at your house. You are having twins; that''s why your so tired. Your belly is so cute and tiny. I can''t believe you are carrying twins. My belly looks about that size when I was 22 weeks.

MrsMitchell - Good Luck!!! can''t wait for your little one to get here.

lili - The pic is so cute. What was she crying about?

pave--
you''ll enjoy the next u/s.
you should be able to see more of your little peanut.
my husband and i were floored when we saw ours at our 9wk appt.
it blew us away when the little one jiggles about in there
9.gif

thanks QT and jen
it''s good to know that that''s not a face only a mother can love
41.gif

jen
that''s great that you are feeling good again.
re: finding out the gender w/o your dh knowing it.
you could have the dr write it down on a piece of paper and hand it to you
2.gif

QT
think that burst of energy is during the second trimester.
third trimester is when you starts to feel all the aches and pressure.
you''ll probably get that burst of energy in the third tri around pre-labor time -- that''s when nesting kicks in.

hehe, she was crying because i tried to make her smile for the camera
9.gif

Tacori~Can''t wait to see pics of your new bling!!!

Pave~Congrats on the first U/S and hurray for another in a couple weeks!!

Ella~I''m so glad your pedi is appealing your insurance...that stuff is so expensive and a medical necessity really. Our insurance said no to covering Tayva''s formula too. So frustrating
29.gif
I hope the combo of Neocate and prevacid works for G!! I went to look for the X nipples and had no luck....might have to try the sippy cup lid idea. Thanks! T is on Zantac and it has helped a little but she is still struggling at times. I have read that for some babies it takes a combo of meds as well as the right formula to get their tummies to feel better. I just want her to feel good. Hopefully the new doc will be a little more aggressive! Keep me posted on Gabe''s progress!! Oh, and the pic of your babe''s is ADORABLE!!!

Jackie Jas~you look great!! I am swear I was bigger than that and I on ly had one in there!!! Thanks for the happy thoughts. We need all the help we can get!!
2.gif

MrsMitchell~I was thinking about you.....wondering if you were off having a baby!!!
21.gif

Lili~that pic of Miss J is too cute.

Better run. Finally getting around to importing all the video we have of Miss Tayva. Talk about procrastinating....

Hi all, I had to pop in and comment on these ADORABLE BABIES
face23.gif

36.gif

Ellaila, your twins are so sweet and darling! I love them! hehe

Lili, ah, thanks, you are so sweet. Your baby is darling/adorable, love that face. hehe

Jas12, love the picture of you and your son, soooooo sweet!!!!

Jackie/Jas, you are gorgeous woman!!! I can't wait to see you on the 27th, yayayayaya!!!!! Neatfreak too if you can make it down!!!

Tacori you do need to frame that picture of Tessa. hehe My sister use to throw corn out of her highchair and we have a pic of that and laugh about it to this day. hehe

hello ladies!! WOW!! talk about this thread jumping!!...

i''ve been MIA for a while (but lurking now and then) coz i had waaaaaaaaaaaay too much going on at once!!!

i apologize as i wont be able to respond to all threads personally, but i just wanted to say:

1) YAY for all the new baby pics!! LOVE them all!!! i repeat again that PS babies are just the cutest!! please keep ''em coming!!

2) Congrats on all the different milestones for the babies!!! six months already for some?? (WOW!!! talk about time FLYING by!)

3) Yay for the ''girl power'' babies!!!!!

4) congratulations to all the new moms =)

as for me, its just been a crazy month with the house, the traveling, the little one and all that..but all is well and things are good and hopefully my life will calm down a bit more!!

Tacori & Skippy (even though u dont check on here that much!): CONGRATULATIONS on ur PS gift and cant wait to see wat u ladies buy!!!

hola gals!

Tacori, congrats again on the PS gift...can''t wait to see what you get!

MrsS, hope to miracle blanket is working for Jake!

Burk, I hate it when Amelia looks like she is in pain from a cough...your poor little girl. Hang in there!

lili, LOVE that pic! Hehehe. Amelia looks just like her when she''s mad! I should take a pic like that too. Re: talking...well, I talk to myself anyway, so I feel better that at least I feel like I have an audience. There are so many recommendations just to talk to your baby, you should try it. Amelia is just totally attentive when I blather away. Until she yawns, that is.
1.gif

pave, the u/s just gets cooler and cooler. Glad all was well with yours!

Ella, that is such a cool pic of your twins...both from a cutie perspective and a photo perspective...I love the depth of field on that one!

Jackie...yeah, I couldn''t believe how tired I was too. But preggo sleep was just the BEST sleep. I could go down for hours, at any time of the day. And your belly is really little! It looks small for even a singleton pregger belly...

I haven''t read the baby whisperer, but I read some reviews of the book on Amazon. I''m probably doing some of the techniques in that book without knowing it, but don''t know for sure since I haven''t even read an excerpt. I think it''s good to read a few books and figure out what may work for your baby. It''ll probably be a combination of a lot of things!

MrsM, you are so close! Can''t wait for another PS baby birth!

Jen, glad you are feeling so great...you certainly did earn it.
1.gif

Qtiekiki, I got that burst of energy in my second tri for sure. Here''s hoping you feel more energetic soon and pass that 3 hour!

msb, good to see you!

Well, my girl went down for 6.5 hours last night..from 9-3:30. Then woke up at 7am. She''s down again at 9 tonight. I''m really LOVING this.
36.gif

Here are a couple of pics of her. One after a bath in a towel with a dry washcloth on her head to keep her warm (the baby towels she hates right now because the hoods swallow her up) and another with her playmat. These are all in the 6th week.
