Calling all the Pregnant PS''ers

Awwww...What cute pics Tacori! I love the matching bathing suit and hat! She is just precious!

Thanks Linda and Miranda! She has a white hat she wore with the purple suit. They kept falling over her eyes but I was glad she kept it on (to protect her head/eyes).

Linda I''ll give her lots of kisses for you!

Tacori: I can''t believe she keeps the hat on! What a beautiful child. She is quite the fashionista.

tacori, she is SOOO cute! love the fashion and the "drama queen" shot. :)

Ella: i loooooooooooooooooooooooooove the picture!! ur little ones have grown so much!! i cant believe how much time has passed and how quick!! (sorry ur all under the weather
7.gif
hope u feel better)

tacori: ahhhhhhhhhhh!! shes''s such a cutie!!!!

More gorgeous piccies!!

MrsM CONGRATULATIONS! Amelia is such a cutie! I just want to pinch those yummy cheeks-and that hair-my goodness. Babies in my family are always bald so I''m jealous! I''m so glad that you and she are okay. Hope you are coping okay with the sleep deprivation!

Tacori, it looks like Tessa had a great time! I love the photo of her feet and her sleeping on her tummy-gorgeous!!

Lili, thanks for the tip! I should be able to stop and put my feet up a bit and I might ask for some more ''paperwork'' type work too....

NF, I felt really bloated at 8 weeks but now (at 15) I have a more defined bump. Still, I don''t know what it''s like with twins! I totally identify with the ''yes, but this is a DIFFERENT bloating'' thing-I don''t think I have ever been so focussed on my tummy before! Also, I''m aware of every twinge now whereas I wasn''t before!

Jas12, YAY on the rollover!

LIA, super cute cardi, I''m so impressed that you have time to knit!!!

Burk, I love that photo of the two of you!

Welcome to the thread researcher-I''m sorry you had such a torrid time during your pg! Look forward to your advice for us still preggos too!

Congratulations melalu! Sticky baby dust going out to you!!

Kay, yay for some nesting!!

Jackie your inlaws make mine look sane-which is truly saying a lot.

on your DH''s baby diary-that brought tears to my eyes. I can totally understand why you''re p*ssed with DH for sending out a ''pinup'' pic to them!!

Ella, that photo is just toooo cute. I love it-they are have a such a good time and you must''ve laughed out loud taking it!!

Snlee, how exciting-please post photos!!!

As for us.....
We''ve been having fun telling people. What is the best reaction you guys had when you shared your news?

Diver, my little girl may have a yeastie too. Grrrr. I''m not positive that she does, but neither Desitin, Butt Paste, nor Triple Paste is clearing her up so I''m thinking she probably''s got more than just a diaper rash going on. She''s red from butt up to parts of the vajajay, and there is one blister that look pretty nasty. I called pedi today and they too said to just use plain warm water on her and to try Lotrimin on her tushie. Did it clear up Delaney yet?
typin 1 hand...

ella: lotrimin af + hydrocortisone 1% (thin layers) and then SLATHER on asuper thick layer of desitin or other zinc oxide cream. d''s is almost gone...she even had broken skin spots poor baby...i also had her nekkid for 4 hours friday night & all day on sat.....that helped most. i took her dipe off after her b.m. &covered my carpets w/ every towel/blanket i own....tg it was nice on sat...we got to do most of nekkid day outside....carpet guy comes 2mro anyway...lol...

Just de-lurking to pop in and say congratulations to MrsM and welcome Amelia Charlotte!!!

I love all the pictures in this thread, thank you all the wonderful Mommies for keeping a lurker all mushy-hearted here

Ellaila your photos make me less scared of my family''s (and BF''s to boot) ridiculous propensity for twins

Good morning, all! I''ve been getting a sharp pain when I get out of bed in the morning. That''s the only time it happens. Could that be a brief elbow jab as the babies move around, too? Or am I suffering from some other weird malady?

Onward to page 277...

jas12 -- I hope little Cohen has started to regulate his sleeping a little better. Poor thing (you too!)
Divadiamond -- I cannot believe you are so close! It''s great you have so much family close by who want to help! Bring on the belly pictures!
Burk -- it seems on this page that your doctor is really responsive! Whew!
Bobo -- your avatar makes me smile every time I see it!
Tgal -- glad the exercises for Amelia seem to be working -- I hope your back is healing!
How are you, Lili?

And now for this morning''s amusement:

Delster: Luckily only your side plays a role in whether you will have twins. So BF''s won''t matter, so don''t worry it doesn''t up your chances just because they run on his side too!

MMM, I was surprised too! I was glad though b/c her skin is so pale. How could I resist the matching hat? She has a matching sun dress too. The kid has more clothes than me!

LIA, how that position was comfortable enough to sleep I have no idea but she slept like that for an hour at least. She woke up with marks everywhere.

msb, thank you!

Gemma, she did! She loved the other little kids too. She is so easily entertained at this age. Honestly I cannot remember people's reactions. I think they were shocked it happened so fast but excited for us.

So I am alone with the monster for 48 hours. DH went to the stanley cup. Anyways he owes me b/c yesterday I did something to my back and can barely lift her. Very painful. I am hoping it feels better quickly!!! Not sure how I am going to get through the next two days.

ETA: LC, I figured blocking off the kitchen would be easier b/c we have lots of cabs. I would only get gates that have the "door" part. I am too short to be climbing over gates!

Tacori - all my gates have the door too, but I get lazy and just step over them. Even at 5''9", I have had a few close calls!!!!

LC, I just figured it would be easier in the long run just to block off the kitchen but I don''t know. We have a glass coffee table. Even with the edge stuff they sell would you remove it? Also a fireplace that doesn''t have glass doors....I want her to crawl b/c I want her to be normal but I am not looking forward to this stage.

I don''t know. I figure that there will be an age when you can''t just block them off anymore, so you are going to have to baby proof the kitchen.

I don''t know about the coffee table. We have a fireplace (with glass doors) and a hearth that is raised - I ddn''t put edging, Miller spanked his head on it once, and that was it. I figure that they kind of have to learn to function. I don''t leave sharp objects laying around, but I can''t pad the place. So it''s just finding a balance that works for you.

I hear you on this stage - I have plenty of pics with Miller having red marks on his head from banging into stuff and falling over!!!

Yup I knew that neatfreak - I read it last time you posted it! And a friend who works in medicine told me before. But my mother had twin sisters who sadly didn''t make it, and her first cousins on her mother''s side have twins. And I believe my grandmother had twin siblings. It''s surprising actually I don''t have twin siblings or twin cousins. I figure that either I or one of my female cousins are royally snookered
2.gif

BF has twins coming down in showers on both sides of his family. Not much hope of escaping it for our potential daughters, eh?

And now before I skulk back off to lurkdom I''ll take the opportunity to send my congratulations to yourself, and all the other Mommies-to-be. I love reading your posts

Tacori, I love those photos!! I love little baby feets
21.gif
And yes, she is definitely a nose-scruncher, that one! Really cute. Makes me long for summer here too! G can usually manage to keep a hat on, but they fall right down on K. It's so frustrating because they really need to wear them but they get so annoyed by them (and I don't blame them)!

And I hear ya on the baby proofing. K and G aren't crawling yet, but I think he's going to be an early crawler (he's been on his belly since 16 weeks and scooches a lot) so I'm starting to get nervous too. We've also got a glass coffee table, and we're just going to get rid of it for the time being. It's way too dangerous not only because of the glass but because of the height of it as well, plus it takes up way too much space in our small living room. I do know people that used the bumpers on their glass table though, and it worked out fine for them.

Diver, thanks for the info. We're doing the lotrimin (but I wasn't sure how thin or thick to apply it) and Triple Paste, and I think there's been a slight improvement already. Poor little bums. Delaney is feeling better, I hope!

Jas, ahhh that makes sense with the kleenex - thanks! And interesting about the twins' language development. As much as I want these guys to be close, that "twin language" thing kinda freaks me out, to be honest. I'm in a twins group, so it's definitely something I'll raise if I see it being an issue later on. And you don't like being a hausfrau?
2.gif

Jackie, ok, come on, you know we need to see the pin-up shot!! BTW, I saw the photos from the Chicago GTG, and seriously I can't even tell you're pregnant because your belly isn't visible! And you really are glowing, too (Or maybe it's just the reflection from all the bling? Or the excitement of the carrot cake?) -- you look great!

Kay, good luck with u/s today! Let us know how it goes.

On the downside - we're still all sick and having our grouchy moments. On the upside - my voice is all hoarse and sexy
3.gif

Oh, and we tried pears today. K is definitely our pickier eater -- she gags and retches! We're like, "Um, Katelyn - they're pears, not bugs! They taste GOOD!" but she totally disagrees. Gabe on the other hand finds my cooking lip-smackingly yummy. That's my boy.

And I gotta post a few more pics
21.gif

Here''s the Big G modeling an outfit Grandma bought him. It''s so cute - he looks like a tourist! Ha ha, he just needs a fanny pack and he''s good to go!

tourist_g.jpg

And here''s my happy girl in all her dimply smiley glory! You know how some photos really capture the way you see your baby while others don''t? This one totally does. This is what Katelyn is all about!

happy happy_k.jpg

And one more that is similar to the one I posted yesterday. This one is so sweet because they really were holding hands (I didn''t stage that!) and looking at each other -- I love having two babies!!

k and g holding hands.jpg

Oh my....all the ADORABLE babies!!!!

Tacori~Those beach pics of Tessa are soooo cute. Love her hat (I almost bought Tayva the same one
21.gif
but ended up getting the white one because I thought it looked smaller because she has a little head) Your new avatar is so precious. Sorry your back is hurting. Hope it gets better soon, especially without "backup."

Jackie Jas~That shot of your belly is so cute!!

Ella~CUTE CUTE pics!!! My T is a PITA eater.
2.gif
One day she is loving the fact that she's eating from a spoon, the next day she wants nothing to do with it! How is it making the food yourself? Are you finding it easy?

I hate to say it, but I think we have a PS girly diaper rash epidemic....and Miss Tayva got it!!! She is now dealing with stupid allergies, reflux, teething and diaper rash. POOR GIRL!!

Gotta run. I'm meeting with my principal....I think I'm going PART TIME next year!!!
36.gif
36.gif

Thanks Burk! My T has a small head too so I can relate. We had to put the brim up like that b/c otherwise it just fell over her eyes. BTW Target has swim diapers on sale.

My back does feel a little better today. Yesterday I couldn''t even stand up straight. I am just hoping she wants to spend lots of time in her exersaucer today b/c it hurts to hold her.

Tacori~Glad your back is feeling better! I was at Target yesterday and got swim diapers.
9.gif
I'm wondering if I should go back and get more while they're on sale....but don't know how they'll fit, how often we'll actually make it to the pool, ect. How did they fit Tessa? Tayva is 15lb 7 oz...that's about what Tessa is, right?

Burk, she might weigh just a tad more now but they fit her great. I love them b/c they are pull up style. So easy! I bought her the smalls. For reference she wears size 2 diapers during the day and a size 3 at night (otherwise she pees out of the 2).

Continuing...

jen -- love the U/S! Those are the best!
kay -- hooray for telling people! I think it''s wonderful and you are so pretty in your picture!
gemma -- so glad to read that the morning sickness is easing up! I love my Bella Bands!
neatfreak -- i''m a little late in answering, but I was definitely bloated and unable to zip my pants up when I was at your stage. Again, for me it was bloating. Double the kids, double the gas, I suppose :)
ella -- are you feeling any better yet?
mrsmitchell -- CONGRATULATIONS! Thank you for sharing your story. I wish you a speedy recovery period and lots and lots of sleep! Gorgeous baby! As others have mentioned, she has the most kissable cheeks!
jas12 -- lol at the nursing story
LIA -- i love your sweater!!!!

Onward to the next page. Bedrest is good for something!

Thanks Tacori, that''s helpful. Tayva is in size 2''s as well...so I think the smalls should work great. I can''t wait to test them out! (however, I''m not so thrilled about being in a swimsuit myself
7.gif
)

Oh Ella, Those pictures are just so PRECIOUS. First of all, his little outfit with that hat, is adorable. And the smile on her face is beautiful. Now the picture of them holding hands, you should submit that to a baby magazine in my opinion!!!!!!! That is the most beautiful and adorable picture of twin love, I have ever seen.

Linda

Burk and Tacori,

LOVE LOVE LOVE your Avatar pictures. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO darling!!!

I LOVE these babies.
30.gif

Linda

Tgal -- hooray for lactation support! Congrats!
Ella -- i don''t have much to add about hairdos for your little one (and I love her bangs!)...but it did remind me that my mom used to tape bows to my sister''s head cuz she was a cue ball for 18 months!!!
Burk -- I love that picture of Tayva! She''s growing like a weed...and just so precious. Love them leg dimples! And you are a gorgeous lady!
Welcome MelaLu! This is just the world''s best thread!

Thanks Linda!

Jas~Thanks! Gotta love baby fat....only time fat''s cute, and boy is it cute.
2.gif
And, I saw the pic of you at the Chicago get together....you don''t even look preggo, much less preggo with TWO babies!! You look great!
9.gif

yeah I''m almost caught up. i am very proud of myself. (i think i need to set loftier goals for myself!)

Litchick -- yeah, I''ve always been amply endowed, but nothing prohibitive like these tetas I''m toting. I can''t imagine what the heck I''m going to do when my milk comes in.

Poor Ella -- I''m so sorry the whole household is awash in snot. Feel better and kiss the babies for me. Yeah, my inlaws are interesting. It''s frustrating because to the general public, they appear quite wonderful. OMG those pictures of the twins...you made my WEEK! I cannot wait!!!!

Jas12
-- yeah, my husband is lucky I don''t hide his underwear or make him pose in a similar shot. I hear you about speech development...unfortunately I know waaaaaay too much about learning/developmental issues. I am always worried about things like autism, reading comp, etc. I really need to think positively! But for heaven''s sake, don''t worry about the housework. That will always be there! Yeah, I hate the term housewife, too. I tend to make up interesting stuff when people ask me that question (random strangers, of course.) "Groudned astronaut" is always fun

Tacori -- those beach shots are just breathtaking. I adore the face-plant sleeping shot...sooo sweet. I wish I had enough adjectives to describe her...suffice it to say, keep posting these pix...it''s sort of my light at the end of the tunnel, ya know? Lurve the hat!

Gemma -- the best "telling people" moment was actually that we gave people the 1-2 punch of "we''re pregnant AND it''s twins." The universal reaction was "*long pause* What?" Hysterical! What was your best reaction? Thanks for the sympathy, btw! :)
