And thanks for the vote of confidence. I''m having a quick catch up on PS and then we go to Amelia''s PT appointment, then off for central cali! Man, packing for a baby...a lotta work!

Gosh Tacori, if the pics you take are so good, I can''t wait to see what the pro does with Tessa. I''m going to have to print out a copy when you post them and pass Tessa off as my kid. Rumors are already rampant that I have a totally white baby, so no one will ever know...hehehe.

Jackie, who needs TV? I can just read this thread for entertaining, unbelievable in-law drama/comedy! Sheesh!

Burk, oh no for the diaper rash! I need to stay off this thread for a few days because I have a PS girl baby too! Hope Tayva gets better...

Amelia is doing well! In sleep news (what else is there these days?) she was pretty tired yesterday so while TGuy is gone, I experimented and put her down at 7 pm hoping she''d go at least until midnight. She went until 3am!

THEN she went right back down after a bottle until 8:30 am...even better! I know this won''t be the norm since the only thing that is for sure is that her sleep vacilates, but it was great because we are going on that road trip today and I needed my sleep!

OK, more when I return from my trip...hugs to all mommies and babies!

Jackie, ok, come on, you know we need to see the pin-up shot!! BTW, I saw the photos from the Chicago GTG, and seriously I can''t even tell you''re pregnant because your belly isn''t visible! And you really are glowing, too (Or maybe it''s just the reflection from all the bling? Or the excitement of the carrot cake?) -- you look great!



On the downside - we''re still all sick and having our grouchy moments. On the upside - my voice is all hoarse and sexy

Oh, and we tried pears today. K is definitely our pickier eater -- she gags and retches! We''re like, ''Um, Katelyn - they''re pears, not bugs! They taste GOOD!'' but she totally disagrees. Gabe on the other hand finds my cooking lip-smackingly yummy. That''s my boy.

LOL about the pears. She sounds like such the entertainer. You''re lucky about your voice...when I''m sick I sound like Bea Arthur.

Thanks for the compliments. I totally hate how I look in all pictures...it''s like I have a mental image of how I really look and the pictures just ruin it.

Still can''t look at my wedding photos.

But my belly secret is that I was hiding behind other people in the pictures

Here''s the corny shot...again, it''s not inappropriate or anything, it''s just not something I want my inlaws to have. I was doing a little improv comedy and he took a picture. I hope you people appreciate my willingness to share my embarrassment with you!

TGal, yay for more sleep. T was like that for months (7pm-3am). She is still sleeping around 12 hours. On vacay she kept waking up at 3 again though. I think she might have had bad gas. She only pooped once while we were gone. I agree there is SOOOOO much to pack with a baby. Our car was packed for the weekend. I can''t wait to see the pro pics too. Now if only she would e-mail me back....grrrrr.....

Lili~I forgot to say thank you and answer your question about reflux....symptoms are different in every baby. Tayva actually doesn't spit-up that often. What she does do is vomit... like extreme amounts, at times, and she has "wet burps." Other symptoms can be not wanting to eat, only able to eat very small amounts at a time, long crying spells, painful crying (like their belly hurts), frequent chest infections or respiratory infections, wheezing, seems to be more comfortable when held upright are some that come to mind. Dr. Sear website has a GREAT overview of reflux or GRE that basically helped me diagnose Tayva and then I presented my info to our doc. You don't think J has reflux, do you? I hope not.

i cannot get over how manly G looks and how delicate and sweet K looks...her hair is even longer! how funny is that?

i haven''t seen any other pics than those, so if i missed anyone...its not on purpose!

Delaney is still sick...i haven''t slept in a week. she cried every 20 minutes lastnight from gas pains. she''s been sleepign with me the last week. so much easier to comfort her...plus she had a 102 fever all weekend...took her to the ped....AGAIN....still tummy flu..running its course. all she did was fart all morning long, so now she feels better.

i...am...so...tired....

re:babyproofing. I''m sure i''d have done less if i were home less...but as a SAHM, i can''t imagine having to police everything all day. plus we have a lot of other kids over on a regular basis (playgroups etc) and its just easier on me.

i have noticed my friends who work full time have WAY less babyproofing than the SAHM crowd. i guess when you only have to deal with it for a few hours at night & then weekends its different from keeping them out of sh!t 24/7...but i''m also a safety nerd, so i need the stuff for myself as much as the babes.

LitChick...i''m a short legged (dammit..hate that!) 5''5" girl and I make it over my gates just fine!!!

must be the years of dance/yoga...my 6''1"dh always catches his feet when he steps over.

My watch was in TX last night...is it sad that I am watching my UPS tracking? I want it! I walked past Carl Greve the other night (auth Cartier dealer here) and saw a Cartier version of my watch. drooooooooooooooooooool......mine was much cheaper...but how good is my taste???? looks almost EXACTLY like it

Poor D! Hope she feels better soon. Is Jake sick too? This has been a tough week for the PS babies. Tayva's rash, Ella's clan is sick, TGal's back...we all need some TLC!

All of your babies are so cute. I do especially love the twins looking at each other. I would love to have boy/girl twins some day. The bond looks adorable.

Luckily, I have a puppy who wakes up at 3 am to take my mind off having a human little one for now.

I think she may have a slight reflux problem...

I think J may have a slight reflux problem.
She does spit up and often and has "wet burps".
She definitely prefers being upright.
I need to hold her upright for at least half an hour after she eats, else it''s spit all over.
Then there are times when she''ll wake up wailing in pain and sometimes she arches her back as she throws her head back.
A few times, she have those head spasm movements too.

I told the pedi about it, but since she''s gaining weight and eating, the pedi wasn''t too concern.
It looked like her condition improves some since, but then today she seems to be choking on something.
It sounded like something was lodged in her throat and she''d be wheezing and her cry are stifled, but she was still eating.

She just spit up some mucous and appears to be fine now.

Tacori, Tessa is just precious in her bathing suit and hat. I love her sleeping position too. Lily contorts her body in the strangest ways when she sleeps but as long as she''s sleeping, it''s fine with me!

ellaila, G & K are really like little models. Come on, holding hands?!?! That is just the sweetest thing I have EVER seen. I am literally reduced to a ball of mush looking at that photo. It is just so heartwarming.

jackiejas, you look FANTASTIC!!!!!! Wow girl, what an amazing twin belly. You are not huge at all. You look incredible. And I totally noticed that you were hiding your stomach in the gtg pics--sneaky girl! Flaunt that sexy tummy, mama!!!!

TGal, congrats on the great sleep pattern!! I hope your trip is uneventful--if Amelia is anything like Lily, she''ll sleep the whole way up in the carseat. Good luck and enjoy yourself!

Babyproofing. I have to agree with Diver, since I''m not a sahm, we hardly did ANYTHING! We put those plastic thingies in the electric sockets and gated off the kitchen (it has 2 entrances but no doors). Tacori, we like these gates: http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2601145 We have a ridiculous glass coffee table that is the perfect height for Lily to cruise along and the base of it is made of metal and looks like branches of a tree or vines. Total hazard but I have to say that we haven''t put anything around it yet! She has definitely banged her head a few times but nothing tragic. I guess we''re lucky that we live in an apartment and don''t have THAT much to worry about. Sometimes she will sneak into the kitchen with me if I''ve forgotten to close a gate and she definitely knows how to open drawers and cabinets but we have managed to keep all the harmful stuff away from her. She did close her little hand in one of the drawers but she didn''t even react--I was kind of hoping she''d learn her lesson!!! We also keep the bathroom door closed because she loves to open the cabinets in there too and walk around with bottles of mouthwash, shampoo, lotion, etc. And I always keep the toilet seat down. I''m sure there is more we could do but since we don''t spend ALL day at home, it hasn''t been too bad.
